I've said it a hundred times before, and I'll say it again: I appreciate so much that whenever I see someone saying hot Martin rights, it never means "hey I drew art of Martin slimmed down and given Abs™"

canon gave us a character who's canonically fat and instead of erasing that or minimizing it, the fandom has, by and large, embraced that enthusiastically and said "yeah he's fat and he's hot as shit, what are you gonna do about it" and that's so good and so healing to see

Okay but comfy clothed bellies are under appreciated, nothing digging in or hurting just a big bloated tummy getting harder and harder to hide:

A once loose t-shirt starting to pucker at the sides of the bulge it is containing

A stretchy bodycon dress smoothly highlighting the new roundness of a tummy with a little too much inside

Stretchy t-shirts that have gradually risen up and up, now exposing the bottom half of a heavy belly

Button up shirts starting to gap as your belly gets bigger and more bloated, or even better, unbuttoned around the belly to allow space to expand whilst still modestly covering the chest

Elastic waistbands slipped down to ease the pressure on a tight tummy

Leggings that hug that pouch curve of your underbelly, still swollen from a big meal, the elastic supporting it as you move and your belly jiggles

Dungarees and overalls are especially underrated but their basically a support for a heavy stuffed belly, perfectly cradling your rounded middle, feeling the weight of it pulling down on the straps over your shoulders, bonus points for lots of pockets for subtle belly rubbing

hey psa to my fellow fat ppl: a few tips + tutorials for upsizing clothing that’s too small, that way if you’ve grown out of certain stuff and can’t afford new things, you can make it fit you– this has helped me a lot in the past 

my tips:

cutting off just the neckline of a shirt/dress can help SO much

cutting slits on the sides of tight shirts helps relieve tightness + you can add an accent fabric, lace, or fishnet material under there for an extra design element (or safety pin it back together for a really cool punk look!)

you can do that same thing with sleeves but i recommend doing it underneath (either on the seem if it has one or to the seem that connects it to the shirt) 

adding false pleats to skirts/dresses by cutting them up the sides and in the front and adding an accent fabric works really well with tightness around the legs

 you can do a lot of these side-cut things to pants but if you do, it’s a good idea to add elastic to the waist band!
