My bestie, Squirrel, wrote this as a gift post ❤️ and it brightened my day! It made me think that it would be a good thing to share with someone you love too! So this will be the first in another series of posts that you can reblog and tag your loved ones in to give then a little Positivity Poke!
Dr. Gina Barreca’s latest article on not sweating the small stuff when it comes to taking pictures..it’s the moment that counts! http://www.courant.com/opinion/op-ed/hc-op-barreca-make-sure-to-keep-your-photos-0904-20150902-column.html
Have a great week everyone!
Remind yourself of the love and appreciation you have for others!
Positivity Journal Prompt 11:
Short Entry: List the last 3 nice things you did for someone else. Long Entry: Choose one of the nice things you did, and write a thank you note to yourself for it. Reflect: Think about the ways you help other people and how it makes you feel. Remember that doing good things for others, even if they go unnoticed, also benefits you emotionally. It is not selfish to be grateful to yourself for being a good person, and you don't need the gratitude of others to feel good about your deeds. Be proud of your kind heart!
This blog is up to 101 followers now! I am so happy that you all have joined me! Thank you so much! I am currently brainstorming new ideas for journal prompts to share with you so we can keep this positivity train moving 🚂 My love to all of you!
thank you so much for running this blog! I also recently decided to start a positivity journal and it's nice to have some prompts to refer to :)
Awesome! I'm so glad to help! I've been brainstorming new prompts so hopefully I'll get some new ideas up soon!
This is harder for some of us than others. Remember: don't let yourself fixate on the negative! Focus on the positive! Everyone has beauty. Find yours!
Positivity Quickie!
Stop! Grab some paper, send yourself a text, or type a quick note: Thank yourself for something good you did today! Give yourself some gratitude!
Positivity Journal Prompt 10:
Short Entry: List 3 things that are going to happen within the next month that you are looking forward to. Long Entry: Choose one thing and write a journal entry describing what it is and why you're looking forward to it. Reflect: Think of your future, of the good things coming great and small. Let the past and present melt away for a moment and contemplate the hope and promise of the future.
Positivity Journal Prompt 9:
Short Entry: Look around you, in your pockets or bag, and around your home, then list five dependable objects that you rely on. Long Entry: Choose one object and write a letter to it, thanking it for everything it does for you and acknowledging what a good job it's doing. Reflect: This may seem a little silly or materialistic, but this can be a way to connect you to your surroundings and appreciate what you have. Think about all the things that work to make your life easier. While a couch, lamp, or phone might not seen like a support system, they do bring you comfort, light, and a connection to the world.
Positivity Quickie!
Stop! Pep talk time! Grab some paper, send yourself a text, or type a quick note telling yourself how awesome you are today! Examples: "You are working hard today!" "You've got this!" "You are looking amazing!"
Positivity Journal Prompt 8:
Short Entry: List five qualities that you admire in other people. Long Entry: Tell the story of a time when someone displayed one of those good qualities and how it affected you. Reflect: For both entries, try to remember times in your life where you displayed those qualities, even just a little. Think about ways you can nurture those positive aspects within yourself. Think of a small step toward that goal, something that is easily achievable, to get you going!
