So i kind of want to give a go at writing and publishing my own poetry book but I’m kind of on the fence because I don’t know if anybody would actually want to buy/read it. i just wanted to call you

to hear your voice one last time

to tell you that everything will be okay

that i love you even when we’re not friends,

or lovers, or anything at all

to let you know that a part of me will always belong

to you

that even though my heart is broken, i cherish the

tattered pieces

it’s all i have left to remind me of you

i lose my mind over you

while you don’t even lose sleep over me

pluck my petals, one by one

deflower me

wither me down to stem and sinew

i am not but one flower

i am the soil,

the seed,

and i am not afraid to tend to my own garden

in order to fall asleep

this is the haunted homesick feeling

this is love

and it’s much more painful

and once the beautifully helpless girl

had finally drowned

she re-emerged as a siren

in deep blue serenity

ready to take her place

to lure those who dare underestimate
