Hey President Obama: Don't sell my home to Big Oil! Greenpeace Campaign: https://www.savethearctic.org
The New Partially Plasticized Possibly Poisonous Food Chain Each year, a whole bunch of plastic crap -equal to the weight of 40 aircraft carriers- winds up in our oceans. The plastic eventually dissolves into candy-colored dust and becomes part of a not-so-healthy diet for marine life. About one million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals die from ingesting plastic each year. That dust also leaches toxic substances like polychlorinated biphenyls. Fish eat those toxins (as many as 50 percent of saltwater fish have been exposed). [...] see: The Terrifying True Story of the Garbage That Could Kill the Whole Human race
Our marine life has been replaced by trash. http://savemyoceans.com
Consumers in rich countries waste almost as much food (222 million tonnes) as the entire food production of sub-saharan Africa (230 million tonnes). www.unep.org/wed
Eat less water. 2400 L water for one hamburger Food production consumes water. Conserve water by reducing food waste.
