It’s an inadvertent gerribaird trifecta!
Good For You is my gerribaird fake dating fic. It’s all meticulously planned out except like a dummy I included a load bearing business subplot on the assumption that future mouse would figure it out and I am still but a simple social good sector girly who does not understand the concept of doing things for the purposes of making money so I have not yet figured it out.
In The Way She Does Everything, Gerri and Baird are expecting their first child; Gerri’s due date has come and gone and she’s uncovering every stone to keep this whole family making endeavor on its assigned timeline. It may include the tag “Gerri Kellman is delighted to discover yet another problem for which sex is the answer.”
Missing Piece is a romangerribaird fic where…okay there’s no way to describe this that doesn’t sound so stupid so let me turn it over to mid-20s Roman Roy to sing us home:
Here’s the situation. They are trapped somewhere north of civilization and east of Fuck You, in a part of New York that any true New Yorker would call unworthy of the name, hunkered down in a so-called “heritage cabin” with a bearskin rug that’s clearly fucking cursed and a minibar full of $38 satchels of almonds. It’s meant to be a Waystar test run, a work-mandated getaway to see if the rustic-chic apres-ski Disneyland for people not rich enough to buy in Jackson Hole is acquisition-worthy.
In another season, of the year and of their lives, Roman might have delighted in this turn of events, being locked in with Baird and Gerri as a very romantic snowstorm rages outside. He can just picture it—can’t stop picturing it actually, it’s turning into a bit of a dissociative episode, yay for coping mechanisms?—a dreamy fireside blowjob for Baird as Gerri provides color commentary from a sleek leather wingback chair.
The reality, though, is a bit stickier. It’s the off-season. There is snow. There is ice. There is a downed old-growth elm the size of a skyscraper blocking the only entrance wide enough for an emergency vehicle. And there is Gerri, who insisted on coming despite being, like, catastrophically pregnant, and is now, predictably, cinematically, in labor.
This one more or less started as an exercise in managing my irrational fear that my January baby was going to be born during a snowstorm and we wouldn’t be able to get to the hospital. I’m thrilled to report that that came nowhere near happening. Anyway, I’ve written like 14,000 words of this 😅
Can you talk about After Life and Nonesuch? Those titles are so intriguing to me! :)

After Life is a fic you can read about half of already. The title reflects the theme: how do you construct a life again after your organizing principles disintegrate? The premise is sillier: Roman and Gerri are accidentally seeing the same therapist, who unknowingly (and firmly against her conscious will) helps to orchestrate their reunion.
In Nonesuch, Kerry, Marcia, Caroline and Sally Anne embark on a road trip to find out the truth about Logan’s first wife. “Nonesuch” is a restaurant in Oklahoma that features in the story, literally and symbolically. I wanted to write a madcap frenemies road trip fic but it keeps becoming a meditation on grief and what to do with the version of yourself that you’ve lost alongside your loved one.
