Same au as this.
When the guy you sent to die not only survived the same weird odds as you did, but also got warped to the very same universe you did. 12.9 light years away.

Building off my last post about Simon’s mutations being dormant for the most part, but triggered during periods of high emotional distress
Tumblr Sexyman Contest 2026 Round 5 Part 3
Simon (Iron Lung)
Gomez Addams (The Addams Family)
going to start a "good plants for people with ADHD" masterpost based on what's survived me
i kept a spider plant alive for all four years of college which is remarkable because i barely kept me alive for all four years of college. highly recommend. not toxic to cats but may be hallucinogenic for them so that's hilarious. they grow little babies and it's cute. comes in a curly variety
both mini monsteras (monstera adansonii and raphidophora tetrasperma) are fabulous. mine grow like weeds
honestly their daddy is pretty robust too (monstera deliciosa)
pothos (epipremnum aureum). your mileage may vary on this one because i do inevitably murder them but they are supposed to be easy and they tend to droop when they need watering (helpful visual reminder). they come in a lot of fun varieties
heart leaf philodendron is really similar to a pothos but ime harder to kill
fittonia (nerve plant) is colorful and also tends to dramatically flop to the ground when it's been underwatered (but recovers quickly once you remember to water it). honestly i routinely forget about my mostly-fittonia barbie dream terrarium and it's thriving
ponytail palms. i toss mine outside in the spring/summer and after that it's happy for the rest of the year. cat friendly i think
syngoniums come in a crazy number of varieties in all kinds of colors and sizes, they're low light, and they're not fussy. this is the other resident of the barbie dream terrarium that i forget about all the time
aglaonemas are maybe a little higher maintenance than the others, but they're pretty and they can hang in there for quite a while. i had one for years that was very happy in my cubicle with no window
snake plants (sansevierias) are basically plastic plants but alive. i was shocked recently to learn that one of mine had grown babies because they basically do nothing (and need nothing) most of the time
ZZ plants are probably the ultimate ADHD plant. i forgot one in my antique booth for six months with no sunlight and never watered it and it's still happy as a clam. they come in a cute little mini variety called zenzi and a goth variety too
good luck and try not to kill them
#plants #i need them that doesnt need much light too because my apartment faces the north #and i live in sweden so half the year it's like .... yeaaaah not a lot of daylight #will research more
tbh i would consider most of these plants relatively low light plants! variegated varieties (the ones with lighter and darker patches) will struggle more but yeah. snake plants and ZZ plants would be my top picks for you probably
you might also want to look into grow lights! some of them are pretty cute and they can come with automatic timers
hope this helps!
#plants #i need some plants so bad!!! i definitely worry about my cat getting into them though #so maybe some of them hanging plants 👀
none of the plants on this list are super dangerous to cats (like lilies or sago palms – i would never bring those into a house with cats)
that being said, these three are completely non-toxic per the ASPCA Poison Control:
Spider Plant
FIttonia
Ponytail Palm
the rest of the plants may cause nausea/vomiting/diarrhea (snake plants specifically) or oral irritation/difficulty swallowing/vomiting (the rest of them).
i've kept all of these plants in a home with a cat, but not one who's very determined to eat plants. so it might be worth starting with those three and seeing how it goes
a couple of other cat-friendly, easy-to-care-for plants that didn't make the list for no real reason:
Peperomia obtusifolia (baby rubber plant)
Pilea peperomioides
i've kept both and an confirm they're pretty hardy. my Pilea is one of my longest standing plants at this point despite some hardcore neglect
anyway hope this helps and say hi to your cat for me
so anyway yeah iron lung and project hail mary both very good
saw someone mix up "abysmal" and "abyssal" today, so as a reminder:
her skills are abysmal = she is unskilled
her skills are abyssal = her abilities draw upon the forbidden power of the dark void
Guys the textiles have me sobbing. There's so much love in this movie
Okay, we got a new one, boys.
Okay so, definitely this is about not giving your protagonist a spontaneous murder tail, but more largely and it's about building a living breathing world where things fit and work together within an established framework, rather than just adding new mechanics and features in isolation and outside of the rules the reader expects the world to follow.
It makes it believable, too. A tail is cool and awesome, of course, but what real-world things are only cool and awesome? Peak martial arts skills involve years of grueling training. Driving a badass motorcycle during a getaway scene comes after driving that same motorcycle through traffic, and refilling the gas tank, and debating whether any given errand will end up with too much to carry safely on the way back.
Winning a fight with a tail on page 120 is awesome. But the character has to live with that tail for the first 119 pages. Getting it stepped on or stuck in a door will make it seem real in a way that consistent coolness won't.
Plus, if the character has to suffer through endless indignities because of that tail, getting to finally do something amazing with it will be exceptionally satisfying.
Had a dream that markiplier was struck by lightning and imbued with electrical abilities. People were encouraging him to use his powers for good but he just went back to playing videogames. All the videos were about three minutes long because as soon as he got jumpscared there'd be a brilliant blue flash and he'd fry his computer.
I'm fed up with "maybe later".
Iron Lung (2026)
does this imply that the ocean is ketchup
"Halloween adults are just as bad as disney adults" "Furries are worse than disney adults"
I gotta be real, I thought we were critical of disney adults for aggressive loyalty to a really gross mega-corporation, or refusal to engage with media that isn't for kids, not because people... have hobbies?
hey chat, what do y'all think: was simon called butcher before filament station, after it or was butcher a name given to him by the light entity?
personally, i waffle between one (seems badass & probably has something to do with coi & eden clashing) and three (i noticed on my third watch that the eye/light entity was the first to call simon butcher)
Netflix: we think theatres are dying
Markiplier: my indie film is seven weeks from release, and has gone from being distributed in 50 theaters to almost 300 theaters in three days almost 500 theaters in four days OVER 1000 theaters in five days
It's over 3000 and international.
