possibly the beginning of a new fic...
« I surmised I would find you here.” She whispered. He felt her presence wrap around him like a fresh garland of flowers. “Are you still grieving? For him?”
Aulë sighed. “Is he not a thing of beauty?” he asked her, watching the strong muscles of the shoulders and back working smoothly under the taut skin, admiring the narrow hips, long legs, hair like a river of gold, neck like a column of alabaster.
“He certainly is.” Yavanna said. “But beauty does not make him less of a monster.”
“I failed him, so long ago.” Aulë said. “I failed to see that his brilliance and his extreme talent made him vulnerable. I failed to see that it was a mistake to try and contain him. I did not give him the freedom he needed.”
She sighed. “If a beautiful but poisonous flower would grow in my gardens, I would unroot it without hesitation to protect the rest of my creations.”
He moved, forcing his wive to loosen her embrace.
“He was not poisonous in the very beginnings, when the world was sung into existence. Melkor poisoned him with promises and lies, like he did with everything and everyone.”
She sighed, exhaling the sweet scent of roses. “He could have come back to you.”
“His pride kept him prisoner. You are right, my beloved. He was a monster. A murderer of thousands. A merciless torturer. A deceiver. Still when I look at him now, I see only beauty.”
She pressed against him. “Do not torment yourself, my love. He made his own choices. Do not deny him that.”
She left, light as a summer breeze and Aüle, after a while, followed.

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: The Silmarillion and other histories of Middle-Earth - J. R. R. Tolkien Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Characters: Annatar, Celebrimbor (Tolkien) Additional Tags: silvergifting Summary:
Annatar is curious. Don't they say something like "curiosity killed the cat?" No cat, no sex, only a whole lot of talking. And some angsty moments.
I never use AI (i'm old as fuck) so I decided to give it a try and ask Gemini and here we go
I won't repeat the expérience though. I don't feel confortable with such a tool.
Living in the wrong timsezone to notice when the hellsite is down - just like old times 🥹
Feel free to come for me Angbangers who subscribe to this school of thought, but I don’t think Melkor ever actually seduced Mairon in the typical sense I usually see in fandom interpretations (showing up to Aulë’s forge and being so cool and sexy and different that Mairon just can’t refuse, taboo romance hijinks ensuing), but rather Mairon seduced himself with the idea of Melkor. Perhaps they never properly met until the Admirable took himself to wherever the Mighty One was lurking and offered him somewhat of a business proposal. A partnership. An alliance, if you will. Help me destroy the vile ways of the Valar once and for all, and I will serve you in your designs to the limit of all my abilities.
It is canon that Mairon admired and thought highly of Melkor to a degree, but I don’t think they were as close as some fans believe. Like Pharazôn, I think Melkor was somebody the Deceiver gave himself over to as a means to an end, but unlike with Pharazôn, he didn’t quite predict what it was he’d be getting himself into. Even cosmic spirits must be a little naïve towards the beginning of their existence, and Mairon probably believed he could manipulate Melkor in the same way that he ends up doing to countless others.
But – like Sam, strangely enough, of all people – Melkor was someone he just couldn’t anticipate. Like he couldn’t comprehend someone being perfectly content in their life, Mairon couldn’t comprehend someone so willing to throw everything in their life away. Someone so embittered towards the world that he would rather watch it all burn (even the beautiful, perfect things that Mairon adored) than have to endure it for even a moment longer. He just didn’t get Melkor, and found himself trapped in a situation that he couldn’t control like he’d hoped, directing a war he knew was fruitless.
Of course, after his dark master was cast beyond creation, Mairon the Admirable returned to his own devices, and (though less powerful) was decidedly more successful in initiating his ultimate design than Melkor ever was. But in the beginning, he believed Melkor’s strength was the tool he would use to deliver Arda to salvation of his reckoning , and didn’t consider that maybe he was a little out of his depth, and that it would actually be he himself (literally, that fucking Ring is him) that was the key tool to bringing about his glorious revolution.
That turned weirdly motivational (if you’re an aspiring dark lord), but you get the idea. Mairon thought of Melkor as more of a concept than an actual being, and seduced himself with his own ideals that he’d placed on a pedestal.

HTML For AO3 Comments
Hey all! Did you know that you can format your comments on AO3 using HTML?
Wanna italicize a word? put this code around it: <em>your words here</em>
Want to make a word bold? This is the code for that: <strong>your words here</strong>
Want to add a span line? Just a simple <hr> will make one appear.
Want to insert a gif into your comment? It’s as simple as adding this piece of code: <img src=“https://whatever the url of the gif image is here”>
Need to make your font bigger or smaller? Try any of these around your text. H1 will be the biggest and H6 the smallest but they’ll all change the size of what would be the normal comment text: <h1>your words here</h1> <h2>your words here</h2> <h3>your words here</h3> <h4>your words here</h4> <h5>your words here</h5> <h6>your words here</h6>
You can even indent a quote from the fic by using the “blockquote” code around it: <blockquote>their words here</blockquote>
Now go! Fancy up all your comments!
You can even use these codes in your stories on AO3 (or anywhere else on the web that HTML is allowed, for that matter!)

My dear friends, I come bearing Sauron smut. 🎁
Inspired entirely by the absolute masterpiece currently pinned to this blog (though — and I cannot stress this enough — neither the artist, nor OP, is in any way affiliated with this degenerate filth).
It will get weird and dark, as is my way, but for now it's pure angbang x reader smutty goodness (at least, I hope it's good).
Please enjoy. 💕 Extract below cut:
