« I surmised I would find you here.” She whispered. He felt her presence wrap around him like a fresh garland of flowers. “Are you still grieving? For him?”
Aulë sighed. “Is he not a thing of beauty?” he asked her, watching the strong muscles of the shoulders and back working smoothly under the taut skin, admiring the narrow hips, long legs, hair like a river of gold, neck like a column of alabaster.
“He certainly is.” Yavanna said. “But beauty does not make him less of a monster.”

She sighed, exhaling the sweet scent of roses. “He could have come back to you.”
“His pride kept him prisoner. You are right, my beloved. He was a monster. A murderer of thousands. A merciless torturer. A deceiver. Still when I look at him now, I see only beauty.”
She pressed against him. “Do not torment yourself, my love. He made his own choices. Do not deny him that.”
She left, light as a summer breeze and Aüle, after a while, followed.
