Every time I listen to Daddy Lessons it pulls at my heart. The foundation for trust and love in a relationship comes from the relationship a girl has with her father. And when that foundation is broken it’s hard not to carry it into future relationships.

Daddy Lessons just explains that experience so well. I haven’t thought of my father in years but this song makes me think of him and just how much he damaged my sense of trust and love. It also makes me so grateful for my mother because she helps repair that damage everyday.
