Hey everyone, Moon here again with another one-shot! This one is a platonic friend group scenario with Janet, Bibi, and a shy female reader. Thanks so much for the request, and I hope you enjoy it!

One Shot – Platonic Friend Group (Janet & Bibi + Shy!Reader)

The afternoon at Starr Park was calm, though Janet could never stay still. Her excitement filled the air as she was already planning her next “big performance.” —“Girls! I’ve got the most amazing idea for a surprise show, right here, right now!” she exclaimed, already setting up her things as if it was a stage.

Bibi rolled her eyes, blowing a bubble with her gum. —“Tsk, Janet, not everyone wants to see you do flips every five minutes…” she muttered, though she was clearly amused.

Meanwhile, you lingered quietly in the back, your shyness keeping you from jumping into their conversation. It always felt hard to find the right words.

Janet noticed right away. —“Hey! Why so quiet? Come on over here, we need someone for the VIP audience!” she called, waving dramatically.

Bibi gave you a playful nudge on the shoulder. —“Relax, she doesn’t bite. Though, she does talk like she might.”

Both of them laughed, and when they saw the way you blushed, they softened their tone. Janet walked closer, her smile warm and genuine. —“Seriously, we’re glad you’re here. You don’t have to do anything—just… be you.”

Her words melted some of your nerves. Soon you were sitting with them, sharing a soda as Janet kept throwing out wild ideas and Bibi added sarcastic comments that made the three of you laugh.

Even if you didn’t say much, they never let you feel left out: Janet always asked your opinion like it was the most important, and Bibi teased you lightly to pull you into the banter.

For the first time in a while, that heavy “out of place” feeling faded away. With Janet and Bibi, you were simply part of the crew.

Byron doesn’t panic, but the second you cough near him, he looks at you like you’ve triggered a level 10 emergency. “You’re ill.” It’s not a question. It’s a statement. And before you can deny it, he’s already eyeing your symptoms and pulling out a thermometer.

2. Doctor Mode: Activated

He doesn’t ask, “How are you feeling?” Instead, he fires precise medical questions, mentally noting every detail, and starts mixing remedies like a surgeon preparing for operation. Still, in the middle of all that seriousness… he quietly drapes a blanket over your shoulders. And when you sneeze again, he mutters under his breath: “Tch… careless.” Yet he prepares a cup of herbal tea with honey, exactly the way you like it.

3. Forced Rest

He outright forbids you from leaving bed. If you try: “Where do you think you’re going?” And if you insist: “You can barely breathe through your nose and you want to do chores? Back to bed.”

He sits by you with a book in hand, like some stern guardian. He won’t admit it, but he’s there “just in case.” (In case you get dizzy. In case you need water. In case… you miss him.)

4. Quiet Affection

He’s not the hugging type. But when he sees you shivering, he simply takes your hand in his, holding it firmly. He doesn’t look at you, just keeps holding on. If you fall asleep like that, Byron won’t move an inch.

Sometimes his fingers brush against your forehead, checking your temperature. If it’s gone down, he sighs softly in relief. “Good. It’s working.” He says it like it’s nothing—but you know he’s been watching over you the whole time.

5. The Nighttime Note

Before bed, if you’re still unwell, he leaves something by your nightstand: A small bottle of medicine, a glass of water, and a neatly written note:

The first time they appeared, they came softly. Bo spoke calmly, trying to convince you that you’d be safer with them. Nita offered you nuts and berries with her small hands, while Leon tried to joke awkwardly to make you feel comfortable.

But you rejected them. You told them you wanted nothing to do with them. That your life was in the trees, in the flowers, in the breeze slipping under your animal hood. That you needed nothing else.

That was your mistake.

The second time, there was no choice. Bo stood before you, his eyes as serious as the night sky. His voice sounded like a sentence:

“You can’t be alone anymore. We warned you.”

Nita grabbed your hand with surprising strength for her age, staring at you with innocent yet insistent eyes.

“You’re my sibling now.”

And Leon, behind you, calmly placed his camo hood over your shoulders. His smile curved sideways, almost sad.

“Better get used to it. We’re not letting you go.”

The following days felt strange.

Nita followed you everywhere, proud and clingy, calling you “big sibling.” She copied everything you did: how you picked herbs, how you walked quietly so as not to scare the animals. Sometimes she tugged at your sleeve to show you what she’d found. Other times she simply hugged you, whispering:

“I don’t want you to disappear…”

Leon, in contrast, was unbearable with his jealousy. He watched you even when you went to drink from the river, appearing from the mist like a shadow.

“Who are you talking to? The trees? The wind?” he asked, half-joking, half-serious. When you didn’t answer, he stepped closer, blocking your path until you had no choice but to look at him. “I don’t care who it is… Just look at me first. Always.”

And Bo… Bo was different. He didn’t speak much, but he was everywhere. Every time you tried to escape, he was already there, blocking your way with that terrible calmness.

“You don’t understand,” he murmured. “There’s no safer place than with us. And no matter how far you run: we’ll always find you.”

The nature you loved so much began to feel like a cage. Every firefly seemed to be watched by Nita. Every shadow in the trees hid Leon. Every silence in the forest carried Bo’s heavy gaze.

And yet… no matter how much you resisted, no matter how many times you said you didn’t want anything to do with them… every time you stumbled, got sick, or felt cold under your animal hood, they were there.

Nita covered you with her blanket. Leon slipped you food when you refused to eat. Bo kept watch as you slept, whispering words you could never quite catch.

A forced “adoption,” yes. But a family that would never let you go.

Kenji is soft 99% of the time... But when it comes to your safety? He becomes a walking fortress.

2. His Protective Reflexes

Someone looks at you weird? He steps in front of you immediately.

You trip and scrape your knee? He carries you home like your leg's been broken.

His imagination tends to work against him. When you don’t answer his messages, his mind spirals into wild scenarios—usually involving magical beings or you getting stolen by some "mystic rival." His jealousy is dramatic, but deep down, it just means he misses you.

He walks around shirtless, messy-haired, and in pajamas (if you’re lucky—otherwise, just boxers), looking like a sleepy dragon himself. He leans on the doorframe, just watching you get ready with a sleepy smirk. “Damn… lucky me.”
