I had a different screenshot before where they got it all together but an idea from Calliope the Unicorn where they get their cutie marks separately was a much more interesting so I redid it
I cooked so HARD, though my process was literally "find a shape that can be applied to all three," made a little squiggly line, and it was lightning in a bottle
Gen 6 was announced and all the youtube videos on it are weirdly bad so I'm just making a post of what I have! I'm curious if people have more information

According to an interview with the writers (which I recommend if you're curious), this is a new show called "Forever Friendship" that will focus on the characters as individuals as much as their friendship and the more messy realistic way friendship has its ups and downs. Because of wanting to focus much more on the complexities of friendship, the main cast been consolidated from 6 to 4.
The returning ponies are Twilight, Fluttershy, Pinkie, and Rainbow. This is an entirely new canon not continuous with G4. The writers wanted to make the show enjoyable for both kids and adults. Similar to G4, it'll have both slice-of-life episodes as well as serialized plotlines.

I am PERFECTLY fine with them reusing the characters from g4 to tell their new plot, though I do wish that they used ponies that weren't main characters in g4. I know it's for recognition, really, but I think it'd be cool if they recycled ponies that didn't even appear in g4 for our new cast. Would be less confusing so we don't get them mixed up.
Like, for example, what if they used these four? Pearly Pie, Lily Lightly, Cotton Candy, and Thistle Whistle? They basically look the same and now there's less chance of confusing it with g4 lol
I also feel like some fans feel like Applejack and Rarity have been "excluded" due to this decision to reuse these four, but I really don't think that's an important criticism.
That said I have no doubt that these four, acting anywhere near like their G4 counterparts, would have really interesting chemistry to explore as the writers state their intent is.
The theme song sounds really generic, over-edited, and autotuned. With how boring it is to me it sounds like AI, which I guess is just another word for "trendy" at this point. It's not bad, it's just not my style, and I hope we get more character-sung songs in the show.
The voice actors sound good also!
Overall I'm pretty hyped for this overall. I really did not like the latter half of G4 and didn't care for G5 hardly at all. Children nowadays, which how much "Youtube Kids" and slop machine content farms are literally rotting their brains getting some good quality childrens shows at all is a must and I'll be so happy if it's as good as it's looking it will be.
I imagine Laurie was a pretty leggy child. His mane was longer for a bit and ! For fun! He is quite sensitive to bright lights (another reason he would come to enjoy his aunt Luna’s company when she gets released from moon-imprisonment). While all of Luna’s moonlight is mild enough for his eyes, he would often find himself squinting painfully at his mother’s early mornings.

I really wanted Celestia to look regal here, almost otherworldly. To make this extra difficult I changed up her color scheme a ton lol
The plain white of her g4 design is pretty and elegant I guess but I feel like it just doesn’t have that punch that I wanted… so instead I gave her a color theme I cobbled together from a bunch of photos of sunsets. I would have liked to give her some more pink, but it felt muddled whenever I tried.
Her face is the brightest point in the new design- I wanted her to look like the sun :] but she’s also very tired post nightmare moon. The stars interspersed within her cutie mark and the darker blues in her hair, flank, and forehooves could even be stains from the event, or side effects of having to take on Luna’s moon responsibilities in her absence. I think the face design gets dangerously close to clown paint but I got very attached and refuse to change it
The last thing I added is a ton of wings to give her a hint of that ‘be not afraid’ type of immortal quality, I see people do that a lot with redesigns and I wanted to try it too!
AU in which Chrysalis adopted a pony whose parents were killed by timberwolves.
She was given the name Sting and trained as one of the warriors of the hive.
Since she has lived in a hive all her life. Sting behaves like one of the changelings. She often hisses, and sometimes even bites.
Sting loves Chrysalis and considers her his mother. Chrysalis also feels affection for the girl. But she doesn't know how to express her feelings properly. Therefore, Chrysalis's care is limited to advice, guidance and rare praise.
Sting (at the time of these events, she is 16 years old) participated in the attack on Canterlot. But she was captured and sent to Canterlot Prison. So that the princesses could decide her fate.
