Dear Killer Moth, AKA Drury

You’re one of the most disregarded DC villains I know, next to condiment king, namely because no one can seem to take you seriously. I get it - the whole moth getup is a little bit of a hm, but you aren’t the WORSE villain in the Gotham Rogues set up.

Despite this fact, you’re still one that I relate to a lot. No one really took me seriously before either - and I was picked on a lot. So I guess it was an aha moment to see someone on the same roster as the Riddler or Scarecrow being written so jokingly - it was a just a huge mood?? But even though you’re written as nothing but a good comedy in a lot of comics, you still make really valid attempts at BEING someone, and I think that kinda helped me realize that not everything I do is wrong, or dumb, in a roundabout way.

So despite the awful outfit, questionable weaponry, and the fact that you have a mothmobile, thanks for kinda being a model for me I guess??

The thing I love about this scene is it’s supposed to play into the comedic schtick Marvel does in a lot of their movies where everyday citizens are oblivious to the superheroing going on around them and it’s supposed to be funny and put things in perspective. But I rather view this scene that by this point in the MCU, randoms citizens are just fucking Done with superhero bullshit and give zero fucks about it unless it’s posing an immediate danger to their lives. Especially considering those look like college students, I just love the idea of a group of college students all collectively not giving a single fuck about some giant grinding past their local coffee shop because they’ve got fucking papers to work on and it’s not even a recognizable Avenger so who the fuck even cares at this point.
