Jango stared at him for a long moment “Kryze? You’re partner is a Kryze and you’re not a pacifist?” He asked in more than a little shock. He knew all about the Kyrze and their attempted to wipe out Mandalorian culture.
“The last time I even saw a Kryze was that damned Satine mouthing off about how much she hated everything about being a Mandalorian.” He said with a scowl. It hadn’t been in person, Jango wasn’t sure if he’d been able to stop himself from trying to kill her.
But. He was giving this Vizsla the benefit of the doubt, giving him a change to be more than his clan name. Jango supposed he’d have to do the same with this Korkie Kryze as well.
“I won’t take his comm code. But let him know that Jango Fett would like to speak with him. And that I don’t mean him any harm.” Jango said instead “You can give him mine though.”
the other man’s comment took him by surprise. a pacifist? why would there be reason to think that by name alone, especially after his aunt bo-katan’s actions of such violence in the clone wars?
“ no, neither of us are. we-- ”
ah, right. korkie’s other aunt, satine. paz had heard about her, too-- about her efforts to preserve their people through peace instead of war. which had rubbed several of their people the wrong way. several, it seemed, including the man before him.
“ oh, satine. yes, i’ve heard about her and bo-katan... ” he trailed off, unsure what to say in response to the jibes at his partner’s family. “ er, but, i assure you, korkie is more than willing to fight for our people and our culture. neither of us, we... we don’t go searching for fights. but, we’re ready when war makes its way to us on its own. ”
paz nodded at the affirmation of a new line of communication with hope that he didn’t sound meek with his little knowledge of the politics of the past.
“ thank you, jango. i’ll pass this along to him. i’m sure he’ll be excited to speak to another mando’ade. as am i. ”
