Tony Stark's passively suicidal, obviously.

He lives his life in a very existential and helpless way. Nothing matters. Everyone dies. The high fades hours later. The time will pass anyway! You know, everyone goes on and on about hitting this supposed "rock bottom" just to find the rockier, shittier, bottomier bottom. Whatever, that's life. Tony's done it before, he'll do it again, he can handle it. If this is just how the boring, tired, old story goes, then Tony will play his part just to get to intermission. Experience the highs and the lows. You'd think that's the goal. That's what everyone wants, that's called living life, he should be happy. But he isn't. Because he doesn't deserve the highs yet he keeps grabbing for more. And the lows can only hurt so much until everything goes numb, it'll never be a proper punishment for a man like him.

He's approaching life medically. With the same apathetic tone and bored look on his face. This isn't a problem. These are just symptoms. Death isn't scary. And Tony lives a happy, fulfilled life.

when i was a kid i decided that killing people was bad therefore war was bad therefore the military was evil. and adults would tell me it's more nuanced than that and i would understand when i grew up. well i'm a grown up now and idk i still think that killing people is bad and war is bad and the military is evil
