Time-lapse screen recording of my portrait of Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) from the hit Netflix series Stranger Things.

This piece took just over 12.5 hours and was completed over three days which is one of my fastest times for TWO portraits.  I’m very happy with it and I hope to do more portraits from Stranger Things in the future as I’m a huge fan of the series!

Tools: I use Adobe Photoshop CS6 and a Wacom Intuos 3. I use only the soft round brush on different size/opacity/flow settings. I start with the sketch and block in colours/light and shadow - then I start working in detail and texture.  After that I overlay different textures (from photos, scanned watercolour textures or textures made in photoshop) and colours in order to create the final mood for the piece.

My newest finished portrait is Mike and Eleven from Stranger Things - my friends and I got totally hooked watching this and we marathoned it in two days and then I marathoned this artwork in three days and just under 13 hours which is the fastest I’ve ever done TWO portraits in… I’m very happy with it and I hope to do more portraits from Stranger Things in the future as I’m a huge fan of the series!
