The endpaper artworks I drew for Litjoy crates The Stolen Heir and The Prisoners Throne ❄️🌰🫀
an illustration i've made for litjoy crate edition of "the stolen heir" by holly black 🦊
I've stopped making music
Forgotten how to read
My brain is calling in so sick
It only knows to bleed
I'm counting all the dots
As I'm laying on the floor
Ignoring all my thoughts
Until I cannot anymore
I'm licking off the blood
Of another lonely night
The panic is a flood
The fear is just a blight
I hum into the darkness
Wearing terror in the dark
Another long forgotten mess
Another wildfire finds a spark
I had a dream. a dream in which i knew the fate of all others but my own. for i did not know my name and maddened myself over it. I could not see myself and turned over a thousand pages of a story book, where I had read the fate of others, to find out my own. i failed, none matched my description-of a green gown or brown boots or length of arms, of a character whose silver ring with carved symbols was causing her potential necrosis, or how deeply set the sockets of my eyes were- as they felt. my fate was left at the mercy of the strange, destined, awaiting future while i possessed the ability to save everyone else from death's cruel shadow. everyone else but me. I woke up before finding out if i succeeded in saving all or if I gave up halfway in the bitterness of my uncertain future.
i think of my dream as a metaphor; while you know- or think you know - and reassure a doubtful scared someone how meticulously they will be able to handle unprecedented future situations or how wonderfully they'll manage their future affairs; you always have this seed of uncertainty for your own self- whether or not you'll calm the storms or sail through regardless of one, stand on your own two feet while another dispels our fears. such is the complexity of humans.
Also i saw a wonderful sky, beautiful that we share it right?
Good days are ahead
no full stop because there's no end to the present till the very memory of it stops consuming your mind. unless it stops consuming your mind.present is immortal. till you forget it. unless you forget it
only then does it become the past
past is moral
there's an end
Anyways good pizza
hiii!
im just a girl, standing in front of a guy (reddit reviewers) asking him (them) to love her (accept her for not liking the mix of dark fantasy with dark romance (or spice in general). im a realist who is a firm believer that true love cannot be cultivated in a day and that you need to know the innards of one's soul, the map of their existence to ever confirm that you are truly in love w them and not just the vanity and frontal mannerisms. you need to know whether they kiss a coin after picking it up, which side of bed they prefer, what their was childhood like, what creature do they fear at night, if their imaginations run deep, how many secrets do they keep, ugly aspects they fear others knowing- that you hold dear.to love because and not just despite I could go on with my list.
other than that im just a girl who eats books on a daily basis and comforts herself by thinking that her life wouldn't be as relaxed as it is now and that fact alone should permit her to let her books consume her just for one more day. also, reading is never a waste of time, right?
apart from reading and writing reviews with no uppercases, i draw, i believe I'm better at that than writing
anyways, this is my review of, well you already it- one dark window and the twin crowns
I realised i love posting pictures with cute cute captions under. I don't understand the trend where people are posting amazing cinematic pictures with a subtitle kinda thing, i believe it just spoils the self interpretation part. A picture’s already worth a thousand words why burden it with more words? According to me it is just governing how we see that world. Let me discern the look on the vendor's face for myself or anything really. When I see pictures, I have this urge to absorb them, let my eyes wander and sink in every detail no matter how mundane. But instead of enjoying the little details on the picture, my eyes drift to the subtitle. I don't want to look at the picture with your perspective or anyone’s, if I'm ever so curious I'll just read the caption. Everybody views the world differently and i don't wish it to be any other way. It is not supposed to be that serious or meant to be that way but i hate the idea of somebody force feeding me their perspective while Im building mine by enjoying the company of my greatest loves, observing and admiring.
Also if you don't think you mind that subtitle much tell me, how many times have you skipped a picture on pinterest and saved a pin for the quote? How many times do you even notice the background under the quote. Rarely. If someone is taking a picture professional, I don't want a subtitle to grab all the attention.
a text from a friend
A friend was talking to me about whether AI could write a novel as purely as a human could. The topic of AI came up. And he mentioned that artificial intelligence had come up in the literary world as well.
And I just said my opinion. Which I also consider a fact.
No. Definitely not. The novel is among the most individual art forms. It needs a human brain to do it. Because you have to have a unique head to make it up. You must have independent imagination. These are the elements that make novels profound. They are works of specific people and opinions, who have had their own willpower in order to create something as dense as a full book.
Artificial Intelligence simply would not have the ability to match these human characteristics. Nope. No deal. I have still never used AI and never intend to do so. And definitely would never go near it for my writing. No chance.
thoughts on bridgerton season 4? here's mine
I wanna learn, like I wanna know everything about everything
What is a man to god?
the way man inevitably always betrays what he once loved/if all the good qualities of a man is attributed to a deity why not the scornful ones? afterall we are his children and an apple cannot fall too far off the tree. from what I've heard- god is supposed to be perfect, but from what I've learnt- he is everything but that; i believe god to be the most flawed creature of all whose essence runs in my veins and corrupts my mind. he is a selfish and a proud being whom i cannot reject him for I am him. and he does not love us, cannot love us . not without conditions and to test is not to love. but that is fine, for we are his mistake and he does not have love us to prove we are his demons and blood
sonder- a realization that everyone's life is as elaborate and complex as your own
had this realization on my way back from an old age home. that detail isn't necessary as the realization didn't sprout from the aged souls, maybe that did sow a seed subconsciously but the metamorphosis truly began from me sitting idly in an autorickshaw wondering where the didi carrying a milk canister on a passenger side of some scooter is headed to- to her home? maybe to tend to her ailing brother, does she have a brother? what must their childhood be like? could it be complex as mine? what were her dreams? what are her dreams? these questions popped up while waiting at the railway crossing near my house. the train was taking its due course in leisure time which kept us waiting a hot minute. which was enough for my thoughts to leap onto another fellow, again the questions flooded in. the most overwhelming part is that even if you ask the same question to a hundred people, given that the question isn't vague that just requires one word answer or opinion, chances are that there might not be a single pair of identical answers.there maybe a similar blueprint or a stark closeness in situations- like all of us waiting for the train to pass through, each one of us probably had a different thought process or a different range of emotions owing different tales, different stories.
each one of us had a different story.
we were all in the same situation and yet had a different experience.
they say life is short but I believe this alone makes it so wide. which gives it the power to potentially overwhelm a person. life's short if you only live your own. you can have multiple experiences, live more lives by just observing and listening to the people who share this world with you.
you're as much a part of their world as they are of yours
“Letters I'll never mail”
“Dear __
Can I be honest with you? I don't know what I'm doing. You must've pondered on that idea for a while now. You are smart, unlike me. And unlike me, realistic as well. Here I am hopeful that this pen would start working again by the end of- whatever this monologue is. You don't reuse your pens. I strangely get attached to mine. I still use this pen even though it blouches my fingers and ruins my paper. That's just me, i find beauty in it. I am sure you would think this stupid. You are cynical whereas I am nothing but a coward. Hence, I write you this with no intention of mailing it. But really, that is not the part that defines me a coward.
You see, i find you in everything or daydream of your perfect self in our perfect future where everything goes well. You have become my anchor for entirely disdainful & selfish reasons of mine. If you knew how obsessive I am truly of this fantasy version of you, you would've blocked me by now. That's a lie, i believe you are both in love & afraid of that quality of mine because surely I have hinted it enough! It bothers me, that I don't know you enough to determine the extent of how wrong I have guessed you to be and I might never know and that scares me. So i don't hold that possibility and don't think of it at all.
That's what makes me a coward. I always knew that, but I truly misjudged the extent of that till yesterday. It wasn't while talking to you, we barely talk nowadays, but yesterday I was watching this movie. Funny how a movie led me to this realization, Me Before You. It was about this ray of sunshine girl who saw the world in rose-tinted glasses, falling for a broken man. He did not want to live. He gave his mom six more months before legally ending his life. He wanted to kill himself. The girl thought she could change his mind. Both were selfish. The girl lost. Because she deluded herself into thinking he actually was getting better. I believed so too. So much so that I had almost convinced myself that he would change his mind for her, for their future, till the very last moment. I would have thought it to be left on a cliffhanger if not for the end scene in Paris. I did not accept the reality till the epilogue killed me. Maybe I so often daydream as a mechanism. To not let the present reality kill me.Reality in which I do not have you with me, beside me, and I might never be with you, since present directs the future, and there is no future if I am not present in the present. The mere fact that I would have preferred a cliffhanger over the obvious ending leads me to the conclusion that I would rather stay deluded in a fantasy than stick to the logical explanation. I have trouble accepting reality. That's what makes me a bigger coward than I thought I was. Maybe it is an involuntary coping mechanism I have to make myself feel better. Deep down, I have sorted out the facts, figured out the truth. It is so pathetic, but it is a tragedy to have to live with myself. It is a tragedy and it is absolutely exhausting. I am tired of myself. And I am tired of being this pathetic coward that is myself. I hate myself, and I hate you too. For distancing. I understand you do it to protect yourself. You are too feeling. But, no, no buts. I understand. Like Lou did at the very last, and maybe she was happy afterwards. Not entirely, but satisfied with herself for not being selfish enough to choose herself. The ending wasn't what she wanted, but she accepted it anyways. That's what makes her brave and me a coward. You are not that great too, you know. I stray from the reality, you dwell upon it. I delude and you distance. You are scared of getting too attached, and I fear who I'll be if not for that. I only live for the future, whereas you fear it. Cowards, the both of us.
Yours”
This is the first one of my first series whoohooo yey
Capitalism is like the Yggdrasil of problems and youngsters like us can sense it and yet fail to compete. But at a certain level it is because we are handicapped. Often, many of us are dealing with personal matters and just aren't privileged enough to care about the world expect our little bubble simply because of necessity and 'hum kya hi kar sakte' mindset. I'd love to explain my whole view of the reality but the gist of it is getting sucked into ignorance and the sphere of work life. But labelling it as selfish desire in the world that plays survival of the fittest feels uncouth.
We live in a world where a single billionaire can end world hunger and chooses not to. And yet we hold ourselves accountable for not acting on the actions of the said billionaires. This quote was written for a reason "Give them bread and circuses and they will never revolt". No matter how woke we are we need bread and water on the table. That's what they hold against us right? For commoners to unite they need reassurance that they would survive thereafter. Sorry I'm making rushed statements right now but can we really, truly, blame ourselves? For not uniting against a common enemy when we have majority on our side?
'“I know we have to go to the protest but i have my final sem tomorrow and ssc online backlog to finish otherwise I won't get a job and won't be able to put food on the table.”
“I know we have to go to the protest but i have to solve my client’s problems by tomorrow otherwise I'll get fired and won't have the money to pay my emi or rent or food or water or electricity.”
Take materialistic life as an abyss you get sucked into more each day. Woke youngsters want the world to be a better place but also want security. Can we have both? Turning against a secured powerful administration is not impossible but extremely tough with severe casualities. And what? If a corrupt government backed by its favored millionaires fall, another will take its place and may make a situation worse than the current one. At a certain level, we can help purify the environment? Use metal straws, electric vehicles (doesn't help much), reduce the use of plastic.
My country really needs German or Chinese waste management system. My country really needs to start favouring enviornmental scientists instead of start up businesses or Bollywood films about heroism or insanity. A guy with zero engineering knowledge made cars that run on water and was disfavoured by the government. I'll have to stop writing before my chant becomes a yap but people who tell us to not blame the government and take shit in our hands should really understand we are not paying heavy taxes for nothing. We do not want to feed the rich and the fucked up thing is we can only do little to change it. The balance between work life and woke life is extremely tough and may cause you your life. Wow We are actively protesting while the millionaires and corrupted officers send their honest to god juniors to take care of the trash/nuisance whole drinking imported champagne. The honest junior understands the people's concerns argues that the people aren't trash, but his voice also is not heard and he’s scolded by his fat senior. The honest to god junior does what he's told cause he also has a family to feed. Soon he'll be pressurized to give into the system and his way of thinking will match that of his senior. If he does not kiss his senior's ass he might never get promoted and get the car he saw in an ad. That's how the algorithm attacks right? Tracks your interests, lures you into greed and giving up to greed is so human. He gets the cars and pays with his morals.
We miraculously forget the people who have tasted power might not be…stupid? They're the fittest/foulest who are backed up by hundreds of brilliant minds who best know how to manipulate the human mind and nature to their advantage. How to lead us to a path of ignorance, blissful or not. To have us stay in our little bubble or let it burst for a little public performance they set up for glory or debauchery od reputation. We cannot comprehend their power.
It may seem like I'm putting them on a pedestal, they are obviously not gods but they have access to almost everything and sometimes we let them control our lives
