Hoyt was unable to hide his disgust at the violence displayed and he covered his mouth and winced behind it as he heard bones crackle. The vampire on the floor yelped in pain. Hoyt felt bile rise up from his stomach and into his throat but he fought the urge to throw up.
The guy tried to fang rape ya, Hoyt. Fuck him.
When the red headed vampire turned to look at him, he took an involuntary step backwards, wiping at his face, trying his best to gain some kind of composure back.
"Yeah. Yeah. I—I’m OK. Ya sure he’s not gonna bounce back and attack us both?" He asked, glancing over at the struggling vampire on the floor.
In her rage, Jessica's forgotten that this isn't a part of Hoyt's world anymore. Before she glamoured him, maybe he could have handled this but right now it's all new to him and she can see how pale he is suddenly. It makes her feel awful but she can't bring herself to regret leaving the other vampire a mangled mess, even when Hoyt takes a step away from her.
It hurts, but he doesn't know her anymore, not really and she has to remember that too.
"If he knows what's good for him, he'll lay there until we're gone. Hopefully, the sun will come up before he does. But if he gets up, I'll put him back down again." Really, the rookie vamp is the least of Jessica's worries at this point.
"I'll walk you the rest of the way home...if you want."
