I made it to the college for my other classes at 8 this morning so since we skipped out on having our last review day in class. I spent that time finishing up the study guide/questions. It was pretty easy since my group finished AVFTGS first and half of The Road questions. I must say, I’m feeling pretty confident for this class. Not so much for my others. I really enjoyed this class and surprisingly somewhat of the style that po-mo actually is. Maybe not so much the books we read, but I have been broadening my genre of  books and added a couple to my reading list. I really enjoyed being about to have a class to discuss things critically and the groups. It made my other classes seem lethargic and boring. So, here’s to finals week!

I did the same thing. I got there around 8 and realize that class was cancelled. That was the only class I had that day. I missed two review days but I feel pretty good about this books. They were both interesting. The road has so many symbolism that it confuses me. I feel good about this final. This is my easy final. I have two science finals and I am not feeling ready. Finals

I m so ready for finals to be over. I had so much fun in this class. I m made some awesome friends. I really enjoyed all the books. Some were hard to read and understand, but it was worth the struggle. I would have never read this book if it were not for this class. I m wish all of you have good final week and all of you do great in your finals. I really enjoy this class and it was nice meeting everyone and it was nice seeing different age group. I loved group discussion. I enjoyed more listening to what everyone had to say. Also I m going to miss writing blog for this class:( #blog5/2/2014

I have finished reading The Road and I have also watched the movie. Although the ending of the book did not give any details to what happens to the boy after he went off with the family, I felt like it was a good ending just because the boy did not end up alone and that he would be with people...

I watch part of the movie with you and it was fun. I just really hope I knew what happens in the end. I feel like the end was just left off. I was disappointed that they did not tells us what happened to the world. I just did not like a when the dad dies. I really hope the dad would have got to live and be with boy. Coming to the end

I just can not believe how fast time Flys. All the books that we have read were great. I am so glad that I met some wonderful people in this class. I still have hard time understanding post modernism. I really enjoyed the book goon squad. I am happy that we will have final on only two books. I had heard so many things about Ms. Clark and they all were true. She is wonderful. I do not think I would have enjoy this class if Mr.clark was not the teacher. #blog4/25/14

I so agree with you Sam. The boy has all the right to ask questions. The boy is so strong. I can only imagine how long they been hiding and going. The part with his mother was really sad. I always hear that mom is more close to a child than anyone in world because she cared the child for nine months. But in this case it was so different. It felt like she did not care about the child or her husband. I kinda got mad at situation while I was reading it. #reblog4/19/2014

The Road

This book is very slow. When I first started I did not like it, but as I m reading more and more I am starting to like it. I just hope that it was fast. Sometimes I fall asleep while reading. I hate how we don't know the end. Or what is going on. People eating people is so gross. I can not believe that some people would go this low. I feel like if I was in the guys spot I would have been dead because I would want to save everyone. #4/18/2014

I have started reading “The Road” and honestly, if I didn’t have to leave and go to work, I think I would have kept reading until I was done. I’m not even that far into the book, and it’s already got me hooked. It’s mysterious and definitely has my attention unlike “The Visit From the Goon Squad.” Can’t wait to get off work, cuddle with my puppy and keep reading!!

A visit from goon squad was interesting. The weakness of this book was that it did not feel like a novel. It made me feel like I was reading short stories. The other weakness was the ending. The beginning start of with lots of details about the characters and as we went on it just got confusing. For me I enjoy reading short stories so it was good book. I really did not like the ending tho. The road sounds good. Hopefully it will be easy. #post4/11/14

Do not worry. You are not the only one who is behind. I am behind also and hoping that I will catch up over the weekend. We do have to finish this book by Monday if I am not wrong and we do have quiz on it. This book skips around a lot, but that is my favorite part. Just how you said look at it as short stories. There is some interesting ways this book is written. If you read the title of each chapter they are connected. It is one of the postmodernism way of writing. Interesting

Everyone is complaining about the book. Yes, it is annoying that it keeps on jumping around. It helps if you look at the book as short story. I really enjoy this book because I can jump around the chapters and not have to worry about being lost. There is not a theme. It is just stories of this people life. I feel like it's diary where she is just talking about random things. I am liking this book more because it is easy to understand. There is few characters that I feel like didn't got enough story to. I wish I knew what is happening with them. There so many characters in the book, but we can tell that most of them are related to Bennie somehow. #post4/4/14

It's so funny we both are complaining same thing. I agree with u that the book jumps around in time. It is little aggravated. I just hope they would not jump. The point of view in each chapter makes it hard to understand who is telling the story. I am not done with reading everything we were suppose to. I am trying to read catch up with this book. I had work all day yesterday and had a emergency. I m posting late. I am really enjoying this book we are reading. I m little behind but I should catch up by Monday. This book is little different. I do not really like the time changing and different people talking at different chapter. I just wish it was easy to understand who is talking. Overall, I really enjoy this book. Halfway

I can not believe we are about to have midterms. Time has past so fast. I love our literature class. I enjoy every moment of it. From group discussion to working in groups. We had way to much fun making the midterm test. I am so glad that we will know 70 percent of things that will be in midterm. I am also glad there is no essay. I just hope there is no crosswords. I hate them. I can not wait to to read more books. I love the last book. I m just worried about midterm going in to small details. I hope I do not mess up people names in last book. Just like a lot of the other people on the class, I have not finished the book, but I’m 75 % done. If I didn’t have two jobs and school I probably would never put this book down. It’s very interesting. It’s sometimes hard to keep up with the jumping around, especially with the “My feelings” chapters, but I am starting to catch on, lol. I love Oskar, he is such a smart and interesting 9 year old boy. He’s very brave and he is his own person. I definitely cried during the chapter of the grandfather leaving the grandmother. Mostly when she let all the animals free. It has been kind of hard for me to put everything together from where I am in the book, but I am nearly done and it is all falling together perfectly!!

I know what you mean. I love this book too. I just hope there was enough time in day for me to get everything done. He is very smart for his age. He has crazy new ideas. I love the one with ambulance. He gets along with Mr. Blank so well. He speak many languages. He loves his grandmother. I had hard time understanding book because it jumps around.
