TH vs FNC

I am not the biggest TH fan but seeing them genuinely happy after the game vs FNC made me wanna see what grandpas like Wunder and Jankos could do this split with a more stable midlaner like Zwyroo , Flakked and Trymbi (a crime that he was FA during winter)!

nah put me on record defending him. The switchup is crazy, LCS fans loved him and were chanting his name back in spring now everyone hates him, like 80% of the reddit comments on the thread about his retirement are like good riddance etc.

I know he has been toxic and has had bad mental but I'm an apologist. During his time in EU where he was reportedly a terrible teammate, showed up drunk to scrims etc, he was DISOWNED by his parents

Brother needed therapy and was alone abroad with NO safety net. Not saying his actions were justified, but I'm not going to take it as an overall reflection of his character when he was clearly at the lowest points in his life.

If he had killed himself the public sentiment would be very different don't you think? so can we be nicer to someone who had the mental fortitude to NOT kill himself even if he didnt always cope in a healthy way?

about the soloQ comments yeah it was really cringe and toxic and he deserved consequence (say, fine + diversity training) but the public reaction was disproportionate, and his punishment was also disproportionate, relative to the established magnitude of punishment for toxicity in the league. $15k USD fine is crazy, i dont think any single player has gotten a fine of more than 1k-2k or so (altho I'm not 100% on this). Even though supposedly it included past soloQ behaviour, not just this instance, im not buying 15x. (the entire org of TSM literally got 75k fine for hate speech and harrassment to their players and staff. this is not 1/5 of that). It was turbo cringe that he doubled down on it but not 15k cringe idc.

im sorry but saying "go back to your country" to a white person does not have the same weight as saying it to someone who is actually the target of xenophobia. Btw, spear shot literally called him a pig in his callout tweet and no one mentioned it. So clearly the league community is ok with some baseline level of toxicity. Idk maybe I'm making wrong assumptions here but just feels like white people outraged over comments that the rest of us just shrug off every day. Can we fund LCS with a light 5k fine off every person working in the pro scene who has ever been racist or sexist? lol
