Just discovered it’s National Schizophrenia Awareness Day!!

So! Here’s some awareness from yours truly!!
We are people just like you
We are statistically more likely to be harmed than to do harm
Not all of us are overt, there’s a good chance you have talked to and maybe even been friends with a schizophrenic without knowing!
There’s more schizophrenia spectrum disorders than just schizophrenia, such as schizoaffective personality disorder
“Schizo” is considered an offensive term by many schizophrenics and some even consider it a slur against us, if you aren’t schizospec yourself please try to avoid using it (as well as “psycho” for psychosis!)
Similarly, the recently common “quirky” online phrases “delulu”, “schizoposting”, “I’m so delusional” (without actually having a delusion), etc are also very offensive! We aren’t a joke!
Not all of us hallucinate or have delusions. There’s more symptoms than just those 2 and the schizophrenia diagnostic criteria doesn’t even necessarily require either of them to be present
We can sometimes know we’re having a delusion while still experiencing the delusion, it’s called double bookkeeping
We deserve rights and bodily autonomy (that includes to not be forcefully drugged and locked up without our consent!!!)
My MHA Tomodachi island! I've added some fireworks since the summer update, but this is pretty much it! The random All Might bill boards and the All Might statue in the town square bring me joy.

None of the above. While we were born plural, the label of endogenic is not a great one. It specifically originated as a way to cede ground to medicalists, and a lot of ostensibly pro-endogenic arguments are still very medicalist in nature. Like, there's that whole "endogenic proof" doc and, IMO, it's downright dehumanizing and abusive to demand "proof" of somebody's existence rather than just listen to their lived experiences (and a bit dehumanizing to offer said "proof" too). Also, calling and endogenic plural an "endo" sounds to me just like calling a transgender person a "tran," which is probably not an unfounded concern considering the tone that "endo" is often used with.

(Because it's your birthday, i decided to let it be izuku's birthday as well ;))
Izuku woke up blearily when he heard his phone ring from across the room. No light was coming out of the window, so he guessed it was still nighttime. He padded across the room, sleepy, before he felt all the sleepiness evaporate in an instant when he saw the caller.
"All Might!" he said into the receiver. "Is there a problem?"
He heard the man's hearty chuckle through the call and relaxed, even though he couldn't see his laugh.
"No, my boy! Guess why I'm calling so late. Or early."
Izuku floundered. Had he forgotten something? He checked his phone to see it was just past twelve, and right beside the time, it read 15 July.
"It's my birthday!"
Izuku heard the hearty laugh again and felt a happy smile lift his lips as well.
"Yes, my boy! Now, come down, I have a gift for you!"
Izuku rushed to the window, only to see All Might standing near his house, with a nicely wrapped box in his hands.
Izuku rushed down, not wanting to make All Might wait any longer, and rushed out of the house.
"All Might!" he called out. All Might turned to his sound and gave him his brightest smile.
Even in his late 50s, All Might looked healthier than ever. Strands of white hair were decorating his head and smile lines had appeared all around his eyes and lips, but All Might looked happier than ever, holding out a box to Izuku.
"This is for you. Happy birthday, my boy."
Izuku felt tears prick his eyes. Age had not made him any less of a crybaby.
"Thank you, All Might," he said with a lump in his throat. He was sure if he said anything more, he might burst into tears immediately.
"Open it!" All Might urged. "I heard it was a limited edition one!"
Izuku nodded, feeling a little surprised. 'Limited edition'? But the moment he opened the box, he understood why.
"All Might!" he exclaimed. "This is the Limited Edition Robo-Suit figurine! How did you get it? It's so expensive!"
All Might laughed and looked a tad bit embarrassed. "Well, it was a figurine of me, so I got it quite easily, my boy!"
Izuku looked at him with stars in his eyes before remembering they were still standing outside his house on a cold night.
"Please come in, All Might. I'll make you some tea."
All Might laughed. "Perhaps it's a bit too early to drink tea," he said, "but, of course."
They entered Izuku's house, and Izuku immediately busied himself with making two cups of tea.
"Thank you so much for the gift, All Might," he said while watching the water heat. "I couldn't have had a better birthday."
"My boy, your birthday is only going to get better! Your friends seemed quite excited about today."
Izuku felt tears threaten his eyes. Oh, what a wonderful day. Getting to meet All Might at the start of the day, and then to be promised a wonderful day with his friends. He felt truly happy. He might not have been able to spend time with them daily like he had thought he would, but this was fine, too, wasn't it?
Izuku placed the cups on the tiny coffee table. He focused his eyes on the steam emanating.
"Thank you, All Might," he said perhaps for the tenth time, but that didn't make it any less sincere. "I've never had a better birthday."
All Might placed a gentle hand on his shoulder and they sat in silence for a while before All Might broke the silence with a question.
"Do you like robo-suits? Did you like the one I had?"
Izuku was surprised by the question but he nodded his head eagerly.
"Of course!" he said. "They were an engineering marvel! I still can't wrap my head around how so many quirks were copied in an almost flawless manner through only coding and mechanics! The fact that it had continued to function even after receiving so much damage-"
All Might laughed and gave his shoulder a big clap. "You have researched quite a lot, my boy!" All Might smiled, smile lines crinkling around his eyes. "I'm glad you like it."
All Might got up. "Well, my boy, I better go! I have much to prepare for your birthday!"
Izuku immediately got up. "You've already done enough, All Might! Please, just stay here, I have a spare room." He was only offering his spare one because the main bedroom was filled with an embarrassing amount of All Might merch.
"Don't worry, my boy!" he said as he put on his shoes. As he stepped out the door, All Might turned again to hug him.
Izuku immediately melted into the hug, wrapping his arms around All Might. Even at 24, he hadn't grown all that tall, but he was glad about that now because he got the chance to get completely enveloped by All Might's hold.
All Might pulled apart first and stepped out a door. He had a secretive twinkle in his eye when he said, "Your friends and I are planning a little belated birthday gift for you. Keep your eyes peeled, my boy!"
Izuku smiled quizzically as he watched All Might walk away and knew down to his core that he would love any gift they gave him.
“Class 1-A surrounds Toshinori, a thin musical instrument in each of their hands. He watches in horror as his precious students raise them to their lips and his eardrums are pierced by the screeching noise that follows.

Hanging out with Shel in her room, Piper had to remind her heart to beat regularly.
The two of them were sat beside each other on Piper's twin bed in their pajamas, watching old movies and eating old candy. Piper was acutely aware of Shel's hand resting atop her own. Shel had brought a couple blankets, even though Piper had plenty, so now they were pretty much buried. Her open window was bringing in a chilled winter breeze, giving the two all the more reasons to sit closer together. The only light came from the TV screen.
Things couldn't get much better than this.
