Hello! Welcome to this poll blog!

I made this blog very impulsively and have never run a poll blog before. Please do be patient with me as I get this started.

What Pokémon would this character own?

What Pokémon would this character own?

Currently I don't plan on restricting fandoms or characters, including sending in existing Pokémon characters that already have teams. This doesn't mean I won't have a ban list in the future, just there currently isn't one and I don't want to ban too much since I want this to be a light hearted and fun blog. If I post a character from a "problematic" fandom, I probably don't know much about it if anything at all. Also just because I think it'd be fun, I won't restrict trainers to only human characters. Submit Spongebob if you want. I do think for now I'll allow real people to be submitted unless I'm given reason to stop (ie too many requests for mean spirited matches). The only restriction for requests currently will be for OCs. Do not request OCs. Also I hope this goes without saying, don't be mean or bully people for voting in whichever direction in a poll. I won't hesitate to ban anyone doing so. Propagandizing is fine, bullying is not.

First rule: one Pokémon per submission Second rule: please only use the form for submissions, all requests in the inbox will be ignored Third rule (more so clarification): anyone can have any Pokémon, they can have mythicals, legends, paradox or any Pokémon in the dex. If there's art of it, I will allow it to be submitted. For those with forms outside of the official art, I have stuff from Home that can be used, including shinies.

just saw a pigeon doing the puffed up courtship dance thing to another pigeon, and as he was strutting around he suddenly stopped for a split second to do a very brief preen-peck at his own side, then returned to the strutting around. and i surprised myself by instantly losing respect for the male pigeon in that moment, like come on man i appreciate you had an itch or whatever but how is she supposed to feel special when you're getting distracted by bullshit like that? which on reflection i don't endorse, i mean those are pretty harsh dating norms i'm imposing on these pigeons, from a total outsider perspective, for no reason. probably not all girl pigeons are as uptight about that sort of thing as i would apparently be if i was a girl pigeon, maybe she even found it endearing who knows, i don't know her. it's none of my business really. sorry pigeons.

idk thinking about how thalia and percy allegedly look/act more like siblings than thalia and jason, what with their tan faces and black hair and sarcastic attitudes, the way they tease each other and fight each other and know each other's limits but would also die for each other. Thinking about them meeting up after the Battle of Manhattan, the two of them and Annabeth and Grover, all four of their little group heading to some restaurant in the square for lunch and somebody asking if Thalia and Percy are siblings. Percy rolling his eyes and laughing it off while Thalia suddenly shuts down for no apparent reason.

Thalia who spends the rest of the visit cold and quiet and Percy who knows it's somehow his fault but doesn't know why, couldn't possibly know why, because he doesn't know about Jason. Grover and Annabeth who are equally confused, watching, as Percy spends the rest of the day trying and failing to cheer Thalia up. Thalia who snaps at him at the end of it because she's reached the end of her line, she doesn't want to tell him the truth, can't tell him the truth, and she's sorry, she's so sorry, but she's mad at him for reasons that aren't his fault.

Thalia and Percy who spend the rest of the evening inexplicably mad at each other. Assuring themselves that the next time they meet it'll have blown over. Thalia telling herself she'll get over it, Percy convincing himself that she was just in a bad mood today and he must have said something to set her off.

Except they don't get that chance because Hera kidnaps Percy the following winter, and who does Thalia find while looking for him? Jason. Jason, who made her snap at Percy because she was mad that he was here and Jason wasn't. And now Jason is here and Percy isn't.

Today I want to show you a very special painting.This place is part of my childhood and some of my happiest memories. I painted it after a trip to Russia in 2017. It feels like a lifetime ago. My oldest son had just turned one, and my husband and I traveled to visit my parents.My parents have a big off-road vehicle, and they love exploring places where ordinary cars simply can’t go-deep forests, marshes, hidden lakes, and quiet rivers. They took us on many adventures, and this was one of those places. We spent the day fishing there and even caught a few large northern pike.This landscape is near the village of Kholuy in the Ivanovo region of Russia.Although I painted it years ago, it isn’t for sale. It is the only painting that was permanently damaged during the catastrophic flood that hit my gallery in 2021, After days of heavy rain in Belgium and Germany, a dam had to be opened overnight to prevent an even greater disaster. Nobody had time to prepare. During the night, the water rushed into the building. The flood reached almost 2.5 meters (over 8 feet) high, nearly touching the ceiling. My paintings floated in muddy water for many hours.Afterward, I washed and disinfected every painting by hand. Many survived surprisingly well, although several wooden stretcher bars warped as they dried. This painting was less fortunate. It must have fallen in just the wrong way, and part of the thick acrylic paint layer detached from the canvas. It now has a small but visible scar, and I still don’t know the best way to restore it.So it hangs in my home instead.People often ask whether it’s okay to touch my textured paintings. I always say yes you can gently touch them with your fingers or even wipe them with a damp cloth if needed. After seeing paintings survive a flood, floating in dirty water for hours, it’s hard for me to imagine that even thousands of curious fingers could do more damage than that one night did.

Sometimes a painting carries not only the memory of the place it depicts, but also the memory of everything it has survived.

Wasn't sure what ep is was, but imagine a scenario where the Eredians learn about humans drinking alcohol, and they make some for Grace, but it's like Ron's moonshine. (The one that makes Lesie say it's poison before getting blackout drunk, and then everyone else tries and fails to drink it.)

"We have learned humans enjoy drinking poison! So we are going to try preparing it for Savior Grace! Apparently it is used for medical uses as well!"

It's commonly accepted in this fandom that humans have extremely fragile bodies in comparison to Eridians, but I think that's actually an oversimplification.

Because while Eridians are incredibly strong and tough on the outside, on the inside they are actually quite fragile:

They have no immune system, so anything that makes it past their enclosed carapace and internal heating will pretty much kill them

They have no natural defenses to radiation of any kind

In general they have very little organic matter so anything that targets their cells directly is quickly lethal

They are partially cold-blooded and live at a very narrow temperature range (about 20 degrees C)

They rely almost entirely on one, highly developed sense and are helpless if deafened (can't even remember the layout of a room)

They are completely helpless while asleep and can't control when that happens

They will forcibly become dormant after eating AND when badly hurt enough (their equivalent of going into shock)

They require more energy to function than humans do, and have very little organic matter to burn in the case of starvation

In contrast, humans:

Have an aggressive immune system and internal mechanisms for dealing with cell damage

Have adrenaline which allows them to temporarily ignore injuries and perform abnormal feats of strength

Are persistence hunters built for economy of movement and capable of extreme levels of endurance

Exist in a very wide range of habitats and on a diverse diet

Are very hardy in general, able to survive massive injuries, lack of sleep, prolonged starvation, and intense environmental conditions if given proper care

The quintessential example of this dichotomy between strength and endurance is the Going Fishing incident in the book: Rocky is able to survive and move in G forces that are killing Grace and to physically wrestle off the chair crushing him, but he collapses from his injuries almost immediately after. Despite being injured himself Grace then carries his 400lb friend up a ladder, is badly burned returning him to his atmosphere, and then proceeds to get some basic medical care, hype himself up on pain meds and keep working (albeit rather badly, lol) while Rocky forcibly sleeps.

The TL:DR is that Eridians are harder to damage, but easier to kill. They're like an rpg character with high armor and low health. I think Rocky would consider Grace to be very delicate at first, only to be blown away by how deceptively tough his friend can be.
