William may not hold figures of authority in the highest of esteems; however, he begrudgingly admits Morgana is the one exception in a city he feels no fondness for. HE MISSES THE SIMPLICITY OF EALDOR AT TIMES. The Darling Woods can only do so much to soothe his mind when surrounded by hoards of people & their problems-- And Camelot’s own mess he’s somehow muddled himself up in along with Merlin.                               Kissing his BEST FRIEND on the lips might have crossed his mind once or twice-- Or, rather, a few times too many; however, William simply chalked it up to a flight of fancy: a whimsical fantasy of a confused boy first navigating through the onset of puberty. He had ascribed the notion to normality ( nothing unusual for his age ) but neither of them were so young anymore. The question could not have been posed out of Merlin’s desperation to appease his hormones. “——Sure,” William says if only to fill the silence lingering in the air between them. He tries not to overthink it in the moment. “Well, what are you waiting for, then?” he asks. His voice doesn’t falter.

A better man ( whose actions do speak louder than his words ) in William’s humble opinion than most he has met along the way whether they are of lowborn or of royalty. He furrows his brows ever-so-slightly. “Only do it if you know they’ll appreciate it-- Or you could always buy your way in.”
