The time has come! Dark!Flip and Sackler x Black!reader are being laid out and worked on as you read this! Since I’m working on both of these at the same time, I need to schedule them to ensure the best quality writing gets out to you all! (This is subject to change as I start college in less than a month!)
Tuesdays: Dark!Flip, drabbles, thots
Thursdays: Sackler x Black!Reader, imagines
During the week I will answer any questions or random things I get in my inbox as I can, but that requires things to be in my messages so please spam away!
I took a long break from everything. I had a group of really close friends who I had an argument with and in retaliation, they sent private photos of me (yes, from OF) to my parents.
Now I know this could have gone terribly, but my parents were beyond supportive and never once shamed me for it, however I needed to take a break after that.
I felt ashamed, embarrassed and overall, downright depressed. I reached out to old friends, friends that my old group had excluded me from and from there I met the best support system I could have ever asked for.
It took me a lot to come back to this, again from embarrassment that I had let so many people down and for that I want to apologize.
I’m getting an apartment with one of the best people in the world, transferred to a new college and am having a new start so I would love if you guys would accept me back.
Thank you all and I missed you so much. I’m so happy to be back.
I have no words to describe how happy I am to read a fanfic with a black reader! ! The idea of Adam / Flip being attracted to someone like me is taking me to paradise 😍 And if they have wives / girlfriends this is even more incredible! Your writing is perfect ❤️😍💕🥰
Aw honey! I have always had a hard time finding any reading about any character that has any resemblance of a POC character, so I thought I would spread the love, especially since I know I needed it growing up!
So your girl has the rona, but I am completely asymptomatic. I will start writing tonight once the creativity time hits! In the meantime, send ya girl some thots and HC requests to distract me!
hey everybody, there won't be any update for adam sackler x black!reader today... my cousin tested positive for COVID-19 so I'm completely scatterbrained today. I have to get tested tomorrow and depending on those results, there might be a ton of updates while I'm quarantined. much love!

TW: Brief mention of a hate crime
The days were starting to get colder in Colorado Springs as winter rapidly approached. Luckily for the Colorado Springs Police Department, crime spiked in the summer and dimmed down in the winter. Unluckily for the department, that meant more dragging days for the officers and detectives. The day had been spent in the indoor range practicing aim, discarding old paperwork that was no longer needed, and prank calls from just as restless teenagers.
At this point, Flip had considered quitting, going home, and finding something more productive to do until the weather warmed back up. Just when he was about to give in, there came a knock on the glass doors of the detective wing. Flip was the first out of his seat and at the door, pulling it wide open. He expected an elated chief with a case in his hand but instead was greeted with a small, familiar figure holding multiple boxes of what smelled to be the most delicious donuts in the area.
Y/N let out a struggling groan as she balanced the boxes in her arms. "A little help here!" The small voice echoed from behind the boxes. Flip snapped out of his shock that she had returned and swiftly pulled the boxes from her, carrying them to his desk. Everyone jumped from their seats and ran over, eager to get a bite of the sweet-smelling desserts. Flip smacked them away from the boxes and scolded them like small children. "Where are your manners?" His voice boomed in a tone to make any man tremble. The chorus of apologies seemed to be enough for him.
With a chorus of praise and thanks, each man returned to their desks with at least two donuts in hand. Flip turned to Y/N with a soft smile on his face. "Thank you for the donuts... It's been a long day." He let out a heavy sigh as he walked to the corner and grabbed an extra chair. He set it down beside his desk before plopping down in his desk chair. "Hard cases?" Y/N questioned as she situated herself in the chair he had offered and grabbing a donut of her own. Flip let out a strained laugh and shook his head. "Lack thereof." He corrected her. Y/N raised her eyebrow slightly. "I guess seasonal crime is true, huh?" Flip nodded his head solemnly. "The same way... every... fucking... year..." He accentuated.
Flip was relieved that Y/N had decided to stay to keep them all company. He had missed her over the last week. Sometimes, she was all he could think about. Truth be told, most of the detectives had given up on her case. Racism was so prevalent in Colorado Springs, that it had just been pushed behind the many cases before it. Flip was the only one still working on the case. He had been able to track down some witnesses and gained a few names in the process. He was slowly narrowing the down when he could get in touch with them. He wasn't going to let her down. He had made a promise to her.
When Y/N decided it was time for her to go home to cook dinner, Flip was devastated. He wanted nothing more than to spend more hours with her, but he understood. He stood up from his desk chair as she helped clean up the room. He helped pick up some napkins and tossed them into the trash along with the empty donut boxes. He walked over to her and gently placed his hand on the dip in her back, guiding her out the big doors. He walked with her down the stairs and outside, a soft smile on his face. "Had to make sure you made it to your car safely." He reassured her as he stepped back, shoving his hands into his jean pockets. He watched her climb into the car and roll the window down. "Thank you, detective." Her voice was sly as she teased him. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he shook his head. "Drive home safe, Y/N." She reassured him in return.
Flip still had his shift to finish, but it seemed to fly by now that he had been able to see Y/N for the day. He let out a sigh of relief once he finally looked at the clock on the wall. It had already gone dark outside, meaning his wife was probably fast asleep in bed. That gave him time to stop by the bar and get a few drinks to relax after a long day. He walked out of the station, waving bye to Jimmy and Ron before he made it to his truck. He stepped inside with ease and started up the engine before looking over at the passenger seat. Her file sat snug on the seat as he had left it this morning. He bit his lip as he picked up the manilla folder and opened it up. He smiled softly as he gazed at the contents before he set it down and drove off down the road.
He switched off the engine as his truck idled. He had made a few turns in the opposite direction of the bar, ending up right where he wanted to be. He was parked across the street from her house, gazing up at her windows, watching as her shadow passed by over and over again. He picked the camera up from the floor and chewed on his bottom lip before lifted the camera, snapping a few polaroids as she gazed out the window for the last time of the night. He set the polaroids down on his lap and watched her as she shut the curtains and walked away.
He waited until the house went dark before looking down at the polaroids in his lap. He smiled slightly as he gazed at her soft features before he flipped the file open, placing it in the pile of other pictures, sighing happily as he flicked the file closed and headed back home for the night, ready to tell his wife about his wonderful time at the bar in the morning.

Outstanding (Chapter 1) ~ Adam Sackler x Black!Reader
Enjoy my babies! I know it’s late! I’m sorry! <3
When you first met Sackler, you hated him. He was an obnoxious manboy who had no filter whatsoever. With his inappropriate jokes and outbursts during the commercial shoot, you never thought you would finish before the deadline. He couldn’t keep his head in one place no matter how many times the director put him in check. You figured he was one of the many boys who came to New York thinking they could profit off their looks and make it to stardom.
You had suffered about 4 hours of Sackler’s grueling annoyance when a pretty blonde woman walked on set. She walked over to Sackler, speaking to him first before she walked over with a wide smile. “Hi, I’m Jessa! I’m Adam’s girlfriend... Although that is up for debate.” She glared back at him. You stood there with a wide smile that was slowly faltering at the odd and uncomfortable glares they shot at one another. “It’s um... It’s nice to meet you, Jessa. I’m Y/N.” You gave her a short smile when she finally looked back. “It’s nice to meet you too, hun.” Her accent thick as she spoke. “Well... I’ll step off to the side. I figure you want to wrap this up as soon as you can.” She laughed shortly before stepping off to the side.
With the small break over and the lights shining on the both of you, the shooting started once again. “What’s for dinner, honey?” You recite your lines eloquently. “Well, I’m glad you asked, babe. We got our first delivery of Blue Apron today.” Adam carried the box to the island and set it down. “Blue Apron? What’s that?” You strode over to meet him. “Well, I’m glad you- fuck.. I already said that.” Adam let out a bubbly laugh. You sighed heavily as the director shouted for the shoot to cut. Sackler shoved your shoulder slightly. “My bad. Next take. I promise.” He was only met with a sharp stare.
You felt a bead of sweat roll down your back from the hot lights as you and Adam ran through the scene for what had to be the 12th time. You practically held your breath each time it was his turn to speak. When the director finally shouted for the final cut, you wanted to dance and cheer, but you digressed.
With Sackler running over to celebrate a successful shoot with his girlfriend, you left to go get changed to retreat to your apartment with a bottle of wine and some sushi for the rest of the night. You apologized as you slipped by and pushed into the dressing room. You could feel the hard stare of someone on your back, but you tossed the feeling away, too concentrated on the task at hand. The wardrobe wasn’t anything too intense, just some jewelry pieces and your top. You were back out the door in no time, headed to part ways with the director until you heard a voice shout for you.
“Y/N! Hey girl, before you leave, Adam and I were wondering if you wanted to stop by our apartment tonight? Ya know... Have some dinner and talk. You dealt with him all day, I figured we could treat you to some food at the least.” She laughed softly. Flickering your eyes between the two of them, you debated your answer before swallowing your apprehension. “Sure. I would love to.” You smiled softly and shuffled your bag onto your other shoulder.
It was quite the kicker for Sackler who was laughing about it practically the whole dinner. The wine bottle had been left outside on the steps and probably stolen by some random edgy teenagers while you all talked for the third hour. You had learned all about their drama with Hannah and all her other friends and how Adam and Jessa came to be. It was a fun dinner at the least, especially fun when you compared it to the shoot earlier that day.
You decided it was best not to come empty-handed, so you brought a bottle of wine and some apple pie with you. Your mama had taught you better than to go to anyone's house and just take their food with no thanks. Finding the apartment was a bit of struggle, but you made it eventually. You pressed on the button by the door and shuffled the pie on your arm, clearing your throat softly until you earned a loud crackling in your ear. “Who is it?!” You heard Sackler’s voice shout through the speaker. You cringed away and cursed softly. “Y/N. It’s Y/N… damn.” You rolled your eyes and huffed softly. Without any apology, the door buzzed loudly.
Their apartment was all the way on the other end of the old townhome, which caused you to lose your breath on the way there. You huffed softly and shook your head as you knocked firmly on the door. It wasn’t even seconds later until Jessa ripped the door open with a wide smile. “Y/N! Welcome! Here I’ll take this from you.” She grabbed the pie from your hands. You slipped the wine from your bag with a soft smile. “I also brought some merlot.” That only earned you a shocked, blank stare. “Oh.. Oh Y/N.. we’re um... We’re in AA.” You could feel blood rush to your ears as you stood there. “Oh my god. I am so sorry.”
You were sad to leave oddly enough, but you had a different shoot the next day that required some rest. You all gathered at the door to say your goodbyes. You swung your jacket onto your arms as Adam grabbed your bag and handed it over. “We’ll have to plan a dinner at mine next time.” You suggested. “Then we’ll have to see who really cooks the meanest chicken.” You teased Adam. “Thank you for having me over guys.” You walked out the door. They both waved you goodbye as you slipped out the door and down the stairs.
The subway ride back home seemed to pass in a flash before you were in your apartment, bra on the couch, and bag on the coffee table. You walked to the kitchen and poured yourself a glass of water before heading to the couch and collapsing down. You shuffled through your purse in search of your contact case but brushed against a slip of paper. You pulled it out in a bit of confusion and scanned over the paper. Your heart skipped a beat as you stared at Sackler’s chicken scratch with an attached number. You figured it was for planning purposes or arguing about who could cook better, so you simply set it down to the side, but your heart was still racing.
Your brain still hadn’t settled by the time you laid down in bed. Had he given his number to you for the purpose of setting up another number? Why hadn’t he just given it to you in front of Jessa? You theorized in your head until it all just became a jumbled mess. Finally convincing yourself that Adam was in a happy and presumably healthy relationship, you decided to let your mind and body relax for a good night's sleep.
