Someday theoretically I'll post full breakdowns and art and such for the ocs etc over at @dragonstamed.
Going insane about star trek over at @3rdgenerationstartrekautism
If the blog looks very Spoons Heavy at the moment, that's because it is, they're currently eating my brain sdaljg;lfsdjg. Don't worry, my other children will eat my brain soon sgjsdkfg
CURRENTLY UPDATING FIC(S)
The Spoons Saga:
A massive rewrite of Stargate SG1 from season 3, all the way to the end or whenever I run out of steam, whichever comes first. The whole thing is outlined through season 10, so hopefully I don't crash and burn.
A New Normal: part three of the Spoons Saga, relationships come together and the longer-term impacts of the alternate universe come start coming into play
The Long Way Home (Author's commentary): Buying myself time to write more of part four and fix the beginning of part three my yapping about my own fic for a few weeks sadgjs;fgj
Something Strange and Almost Kind:
After they return from Abydos, Jack brings a grieving Spoons to dinner at the behest of Sara. Now retired and no longer suicidal, Jack decides he's going to step up for Sara and hope beyond hope that it's not too little, too late.
Spoons, devastated by Daniel choosing to stay on Abydos for reasons she cannot articulate, is surprised by how much kindness the O'Neills show her.
Sara, for her part, is just relieved that, despite all evidence that Jack was not supposed to come home on that last mission, he's back in arms reach and seems determined to stay.
Fucked-up, insecure, neurotic, and emotional, the three of them work their way back towards the land of the living together just in-time for Anubis to dial Earth on that fateful day.
Current For Fun project, sporadic up-dates
COMING SOON
Hitting Their Stride:
Part 4 of the Spoons Saga. Covers up to the end of season four, partially written, will begin posting after A New Normal finishes
The Spoons Saga: Author's Commentary Edition (part 2):
Same as the Spoons Saga, literally the exact same, but I'll have yammering and annotations included. Mostly exists to be a filler for when my buffer for the written fics gets thin sldjfgs;djflg and because I can't shut up.
freedom made ones spirit soar:
the steampunk au feat. my friend's oc and me going insane about gender politics
Spoonsgate Atlantis:
Explores how Stargate Atlantis would change if Spoons was there. Born of a desire to bounce Spoons and Rodney off each other, this is PROBABLY next on the list for fic updates once I finish the Spoons Saga
Spoons On Abydos (Title Pending):
What if Spoons went on the Original Abydos mission and stayed behind with Daniel?
Spoons The Tok'ra (Title Pending):
What if Spoons went on the Original Abydos mission and went home with the crew? An expansion of the Smoke and Firelight drabble (though who knows if the events will stay having happened that way once I get to writing this sdglja;ljfdgk)
Party Genders Have Been Auto Balanced (Title Pending):
What if Ishta was the shol'va instead of Teal'c? Can't decide if I want this to be 50/50 man/woman split and leave Daniel on the team or if I want to swap him out completely for Spoons instead. There's merit to both and tbh I might just write both, but for now only one goes on the board
Fuck you, I'm gonna fund the Jaffa rebellion (Title Pending):
This one is SUPER cooking but there's something in here with an oc goa'uld getting placed into Spoons who then rebels SUPER HARD because she hates how she gets treated and Spoons is Along For The Ride. I had an idea for this starting mid-movie with Ra sending Spoons off with some Jaffa as a potential host as like a political gift? I'm cooking and it's gonna be good I promise
Prison Break:
Based on a throwaway line in settling in chapter four where I mentioned that Spoons and the askrak would have been thrown into Netu if anyone had figured out the ashrak was going to rebel. Gonna start with Spoons meeting Jacob and Selmak on Netu and then breaking out and going from there

Series: Part 4 of The Spoons Saga
Summary:
"That's good." Spoons realizes that there is another person in the room and turns to greet them. "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there. I'm Dr. Faulkner, I work with the diplomacy teams."
The woman she turns to is on the taller side, with auburn hair and pale skin. Her clothing marks her as being one of the Tok'ra. "I am Anise." Her voice has the resonance that the symbiotes use to differentiate themselves from their hosts. She closes her eyes and dips their head. Her host raises it. "And I am Freya. Martouf and Lantash told us you would want to be introduced to both of us."
"Well, I like to make sure I know the names of everyone in the room."
an important part of Aubrey and Alisa's dynamic is they both think the other one is insane for picking the career they did
most people agree with Alisa that test pilot is a stupidly dangerous thing to do, but very few understand why Aubrey is so fucking scared of Alisa getting thrown from a horse. I should make Alisa have done rodeo, just to actually even their playing field
anyway, they Both insist that actually if you're really good at what you are doing the [plane/horse] is very responsive and it'll be fine if you're not an idiot and respect what it can do
there's a joke in here that leviathans are the only form of transportation that they would both like
They're identical twins for the Stargate/Farscape crossover that's been percolating in the back of my head for years and has now been kicked into overdrive since I am finally getting around to finishing farscape sshdhfkkg. I'm only 4 episodes into season 2 so 1) no spoilers please and 2) some of this is subject to change as I learn more about Things and also Stuff. BUT, in this au Cam and John are identical twins who weren't, like, fully parent-trapped, but they were a little bit parent-trapped. Cam ended up taking his step-dad's last name after their mom remarried. This is part of the stuff that is subject to change, but also it's an au so I might keep it anyway, we'll see.
ANYWAY, Aubrey is a test-pilot for the Air Force, and a Damn Fucking Good One, so she's one of the pilots testing the 302s. Someone in the SGC has the bright idea to try and recreate John's experiment and send a probe through the wormhole that shows up and, like, hope it ends up in the same place John did? Like, it's a stretch, but it's better than nothing and they can't just Not look for him when they have more technology than the general public. Aubrey is picked to run the experiment.
She's also engaged to Cam and I think timeline wise this means he would have actually learned about the SGC early? Doesn't really matter, he knows and is stressed and they had put the wedding on hold when John went missing bc they obviously wanted him there, but about a week before Aubrey is supposed to run the test, Cam is freaking out and she's like. Let's elope so we can be married before anything potentially happens and we can have a ceremony and everything after we get John back. So they do, and it's sweet, and Cam is torn between "grateful they got married so he wouldn't lose his chance" and "now stressed about losing his Wife the same way he lost his Twin". He's doing his best.
And on the day of the test she's there with Cam and he's still freaking out and she's like "babe, I know this is scary and I'm not gonna lie to you and say it will be okay because I cannot guarantee that, but I'm good at my job and they've got other people up there monitoring, and since we gave the Asgard a heads-up that we were going to do this so they wouldn't freak out about the wormhole close to Earth (again), they're hanging out In Case. It is as safe as it can be and someone needs to do soemthing to go get John."
And he's like "I know and I love you and I trust you, come back to me."
And since she's very aware that "as safe as possible" is still not "safe", she just hugs him instead of making a promise she can't be sure she'll keep.
And, of course, the protections are good, but not enough, and as safe as it was, the pull of the wormhole is too much for her to escape and she tumbles across the universe just in time to get scooped up by a peacekeeper cruiser with a commander hell bent on killing one John Crichton and now he has his sister-in-law as bait.
And Krais interrogates her and yells at her and doesn't torture her, even though he was very clearly about to, because he found a picture of her and John (her and Cam) on her dashboard so he screams at her that her lover murdered his brother and all she says is a very sincere "I'm sorry". She knows that can't be the whole story, there's no way it's the whole story, but this man's brother is dead and john very likely did have something to do with it even if it was the accident she is pretty sure it has to have been. She thinks about what she would be like if Alisa died and doesn't bother trying to reason with him. She just expresses remorse.
The man's brother is dead, she can be kind.
And he stops yelling, because he's seen, his grief and his pain is validated, and he wasn't expecting it, not from this woman who is so obviously connected to Crichton. It's shock, more than anything. And she pulls her knees up and rests her chin on them and calmly explains that John's her brother-in-law, not her husband, her husband is his identical twin and he stays. Well. Not nice, but surprisingly cordial after that.
And when it turns out in a fucked up miracle, her birth control failed and, somehow, the shock of the injuries didn't end the little life before it could start, he's genuinely kind to her about it. He's shitty and fucked up, but not actively evil, mostly, and she doesn't really know what to do with it.
And it's several months of just sort of sitting in a cell watching her belly get bigger and bigger and being forced to accept medical help from a bunch of alien doctors who have her kidnapped and it's weird and bad and confusing, but apparently there is a line and "torturing a pregnant person" is over it and then over hears Krais bragging that he's going to make sure that Crichton's niece (she's having a girl, she didn't know that) is going to be raised a peacekeeper and something inside her cracks and breaks, but, like everything else, there isn't much she can do about it. She just sings her baby lullabies and hopes she somehow, someway remembers them when she's older.
(There's a malfunction in her cell one day and a pretty blonde tech comes in to fix it and they don't bother dragging her out of the cell, content with how compliant she has been. The tech asks in a bare whisper if there's anything she can do to help her. Aubrey huffs something too sad to be a laugh and says "dandruff shampoo would be nice". When they refresh her her toiletries later, there's a medicated shampoo in there. It's another bit of kindness she doesn't really know what to do with.)
(Later, running out of a base with John, John's cellmate, and Aeryn and the pretty tech that Aubrey now knows is named Gilina, Aubrey will say "I don't care what's going on with you and John and Aeryn, you are the only person who was nice to me while I was here. Get the fuck out of here with us." Gilina get the fuck out of there with them.)
(After that, when Talon is refusing to leave without Krais, or with Aeryn, Gilina will volunteer to go with them. They sell Talon on that, a competent tech who's familiar with peacekeeper technology will only be an asset. It makes Aeryn feel both better and worse.)
Scorpious won't put Aubrey in the chair, performatively nice in a way that sets Aubrey's teeth on edge in a way that Krais's confusing kindness never did. When Aubrey finds out why Scorpius is chasing down John, she feels a wave of fear for both herself and John. She knows things about wormholes, possibly even more than John, certainly more consciously. She realizes she can never tell anyone what, exactly, her job on Earth was. She can't tell them about the SGC, about all the planets she has been to, about the existence of the Stargates and all they mean. She can't even tell them there might be a way for John and her to get home and still be able to visit. It's horrible and awful and Aubrey wants to tell them so bad, wants to split Scorpius's focus, wants to make him want more than just John, but that's stupid, so unbelievably, incalculably stupid. She keeps her mouth shut and feels so very guilty for doing the tactically sound thing. They all chuck her moods up to pregnancy and that's annoying, but useful. She let's it stand.
Alisa, back on Earth, is a heart-broken horseback riding instructor who only knows that somehow her sister went up for a test flight and came back "missing in action." She's not stupid, she knows that's "dead, but we can't find the body." Still, Cam doesn't let them hold a funeral and Alisa can't make herself fight him about that. Maybe she survived her crash somewhere in a satellite dead-zone and they'll find her any day now. They'll get a call and meet her plane and she'll be injured and starving, but beautifully, brilliantly alive and Alisa will have her sister back. She moves in with Cam, the only person who doesn't give her shit for this daydream. (Every year the hope gets more stupid, but more comforting. She builds her life around the hole where her sister should be and she thinks to herself that if this is what the rest of her life is going to be, it could be much worse. Maybe it's better this way, if they never find the body, then she sister never died. She's just somewhere up in the sky, still flying. She'll come back down to the ground when she's ready.)
“I was the host of the Goa’uld Qetesh. The Tok’ra freed me from her and dumped me here. Apparently, they thought it might be a good idea for me to have a sense of purpose after being freed.” There’s a pile of resentment in there.
Spoons winces. “I guess that’s better than just throwing you back out into the galaxy.”
Vala sighs. “I am grateful to them for freeing me. And they did ask if I would like to join their ranks I just…”
“That’s a lot and it’s not for everyone. Honestly, it’s not for most people, though they have a pretty hard time seeing why.” The next obvious question would be to ask about Vala’s home, but that way feels like a landmine. “Is there anything you’re looking forward to doing now that you have your body back?” She asks instead.
Vala blinks. “What?”
“You know,” Spoons says, “are you going to get any tattoos? Piercings?” She pulls at her braid. “Dye your hair?”
Small Suggestively Spicy (but not Severely Smutty) Sinday Ask List.
Although there are some excellent - and entertainingly explicit - Sinday-themed ask lists available, I was asked by a couple of people to try creating one that was suitably unchaste, but without being too overtly graphic. I'm not sure if this is what those people had in mind, but I did my best.
How was your OC’s first sexual experience? Was it planned or spontaneous? Positive or negative? If they haven’t yet had any sexual experiences then how are they hoping their first experience will play out?
What is your OC’s usual choice of underwear? Would they opt for something racier if they were expecting to be undressing in front of a lover or a romantic conquest?
Do they have any area of their body that is particularly sensitive? If so then do they particularly like attention being paid to this area? Or does it rapidly become overstimulating?
What is their greatest anxiety or insecurity when it comes to sexual activity or romantic intimacy? Is this the result of a negative previous experience - or is it just a secret fear?
Has your OC ever had an experience – or been exposed to an idea – that awoke something in them sexually - or led to them developing an unexpected kink or preference?
How would your OC respond to being offered a large payment from an admirer in exchange for performing a striptease, posing nude or something yet more daring?
Does your OC have a secret crush? Do they ever fantasise about them? If they have an existing partner who is not said crush, then do they know about it?
Would they ever pay for sex - or do they need to know that the other person is only participating of their own volition? Conversely, would they ever have sex with someone to whom they were not attracted, either for money or just out of the goodness of their… heart.
What do they consider their best physical feature? Would their partner(s) or admirers agree?
Do they enjoy reading erotica or viewing pornographic material? Did (or would) they stop doing this once in a relationship? Or would it be something they would hope to enjoy with a partner?
How does your OC feel about roleplay – especially if requested by a sexual partner? Would they get into role with great enthusiasm, whilst utilising a range of props, accessories and possibly wigs? Or would they find the very idea excruciatingly embarrassing? Or would they try it and only then find they couldn’t avoid getting the giggles?
Is there a sexual act they avoid, or to which they will not consent? Is this due to a moral concern? Concern over discomfort or hygiene? Or a negative previous experience?
What physical qualities or parts of the body do they find most alluring in other people? Are there any that they find a bit less appealing?
Is your OC usually the one to make the first move? Or do they wait for the other person to initiate proceedings? Have they become more confident with this over time?
Are they usually in the mood for a sexual encounter at any given moment? Or do they need a particular set of circumstances or a gradual build-up before feeling suitably motivated?
Is your OC an exhibitionist? Do they favour skimpy beachwear or form-fitting outfits? Or are they modest or even shy about the way they present themselves?
Does your OC find certain smells enticing or seductive – perhaps a particular perfume or cologne; or possibly something less obvious such as engine grease or fuel – or even something more…raw, like fresh sweat?
What might your OC buy a lover or romantic partner, if they were looking for something saucy or suggestive? Scented massage oils? A set of racy underwear? A full set of leather implements and restraints? Or something else entirely?
What terms does (or would) your OC use for parts of the body? Do they tend to use strictly biologically accurate terms? Coy or cute euphemisms? Or do they find crude, or even vulgar, terms quite erotic when used with a lover?
Does your OC enjoy foreplay and like to extend it for some time? Or would they sooner get straight down to business as soon as possible? If their partner is differently wired in this regard then how do they compromise?

Summary:
He's a mean mother fucker, Jim. Goes in public by the name Anubis, playing at godhood the way all of them do. Jim, however, decided he didn't want to play with Daniel. Least, not like that.
An evil clone duplicated my friend and everyone wants me to help figure out which one is the real one but I keep getting distracted because the way they grab at each other roughly hands on identical hands and insult each other so targetedly is actually really, really hot. Can't we just keep both of them? We'll just domesticate the doppelganger. It'll be fine.
