Spring Equinox Collective Reading!

Spring has sprung here in Australia and yesterday was the spring equinox. This reading is intended for those experiencing the spring equinox rather than the autumn but if you feel drawn please keep reading. I'll have another autumn equinox reading too.

With The Sun reversed I'm seeing that the collective may have been experiencing some seasonal depression or just feeling generally unmotivated because of the weather. The 10 of cups leading into the six of swords leading into the moon suggests to me that things are on the up, and quickly. Day 7 - How to Care For Your Crystals

Cleansing & Charging

Charging and cleansing crystals is an important part of taking care of your crystals. It ensures that you're crystals stay clean, full of energy, and can aid you when you need them. The following are some common cleansing and charging methods:

Moonlight Cleansing & Charging: On the night of the full moon set your crystals outside or on a windowsill where they can be bathed in moonlight. Leave them overnight to allow the moons energy to cleanse them. You can repeat this process to charge it.

Running Water Cleansing: Hold your crystals under running water for anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute. As the water pours over the stones visualize the old energy being washed away. Make sure you're crystals are water safe for this method. If it ends in -ite it's probably not water safe.

Sound Cleansing: Use a bell or any other object that produces a clear resonate sound near your crystals. The vibrations can cleanse there energy even from a decent distance.

Smoke Cleansing: Wave your crystals through the smoke from burning a bundle of herbs or incense. As you do so visualize the smoke carrying away the stagnant energy.

Earth Cleansing & Charging: Bury your crystals in the earth or in a small pot of soil for 24 hours before digging it up and cleaning it off. The soil will absorb and neutralize any negative energy sticking to the stone. You can repeat this process to charge it.

Sunlight Charging: Set your crystals in the sun for 2-4 hours so it can charge up the sun's energy. It's best to do this in the early morning or late evening to avoid the harsh mid-day lighting. Some crystals aren't sun safe and will fade under direct sunlight so make sure to check if your crystals are sun safe.

Storing Your Crystals

Organize by Intention: Store crystals with similar purposes together. This prevents any conflicting energies from affecting the crystals.

Use Natural Materials: Use cotton pouches, wooden boxes, or fabric scraps to store your stones. Natural materials allow the energy to flow better then synthetic ones like plastic.

Keep Them Away From Electronics: Electronics put out a small amount of electromagnetic radiation, which is safe for humans but can be harmful to your energies of the stones. It's best to store crystals on an altar or a special shelf away from electronics.
