JAMES:
The Gryffindor common room was packed, and judging by the amount of people outside of their common room as well, James had a feeling that their professors were letting them have this one. Most of the upperclassman were in partying to their hearts content, and he did catch sight of a few of the younger years in joining in. Having seen a couple seconds years with firewhiskey in their cups, James responsibly took their cups off of them. A few of them had been at the quidditch tryouts and at least one of them had made the team and the last thing James wanted was a bunch of drunk twelve year olds making stupid decisions. Having poured their shots into one cup and added soda to it James took the drink for himself like the responsible upperclassman he was. Turning from the drink table back to the crowd, he nearly ran into someone that close by. Seeing one Narcissa Black was a bit of a surprise, and he knew the verbal sparring match was likely about to ensue, so he took a breath and braced himself. “Ah, little Black, lovely to see you here. I’m surprised to see you in such an undignified place,” he greeted with a smug grin.
@princissa·
The common room was so large and yet it so easily crowded with so many hyper, drunk (and frankly a little sweaty) students. How her friends could enjoy this kind of atmosphere was beyond her, but she tried to make it work for a little longer solely for the fact that Mercy and Helena were around and could hopefully keep her sane until she left. She needed to get away from a fourth year that was practically breathing down her neck and headed to the drink table in an attempt to lose him. Her head was turned to look over her shoulder to make sure she was alone only to turn back and almost bump into James Potter. Narcissa huffed already annoyed that she had to run into him when there were so many other people she could have been stuck with. "Oh perfect, it wouldn't be a trashy Gryffindor party without you, Potter. Someone had to class up this party and unfortunately, that someone had to be me but don't worry I'll be out of that greasy hair of yours soon enough. I just need a drink."
