There was buzzing in your hotel room. March, you, and Stelle were all packed into her suite.Â
âHelp me put on my dress real quick!â You said as you called March over.Â
Still as bright and cheerful as ever.
âOn it!â Called out March as she rushed her way toward you, her heels clicking against the marble floors of the suite.Â
She quickly zipped up the dress in the blink of an eye, so quick that your back arched a little. March couldnât help but poke at the side of your stomach due to your reaction. You laughed a bit and poked her back, it took you back to your younger days.
Seeing everyone all together again, no busy schedules and no pressure of that horrible office job you have, made you feel happy, content.Â
You thought to yourself about how funny it would be to see someone else from your past, rekindle a friendship.
What you didnât know was that Sunday was thinking the same thing.
Sunday adjusted his tie as he wore all black. He looked at himself in the full length mirror, gold adorned it. The warmth of the painted gold reminded him of you, and how we would watch you put in your earrings, or adjust your eyelashes before you headed out for the night.Â
He quickly shaked those thoughts off.
âDove,â he called out upstairs where his sonâs bedroom resided, âare you ready yet?â
âHold onââ He was rushing down the stairs, panting.Â
Sunday softly smiled and watched as his son ascended downwards.
âDid you need help with your tie?â He said as he took note of Doveâs tie hanging loosely.Â
Dove nodded and Sunday had no hesitation in tying it for him. His hands moved fast, as if it were folding origami.Â
âThere, all done.âÂ
He let out a breath of relief, he hadnât realized he was holding in his breath. Dove gave him a small thank you before walking past to look at himself in the mirror. While Dove saw a teenager, all Sunday could see was him being cradled in your arms.
Sunday couldnât help but feel anticipation; he hoped to see you there. Fully there, not just sitting in your car when you had to drop off Dove at his house.
-
The wedding song began to play; it remained muffled as you lined up behind the doors. You were the last one to go, following March. You took a breath and looked over to see the flower girls, tribios, trianne, and tribbie. A cute set of triplets; they were all lined up together, very prim and proper!Â
You stood straight as March turned to face you with a smile, âIâm up!â
You smile and whisper âgood luckâ with a playful wink. She nods and proceeds to walk forward towards Stelle, who was surprisingly standing still at the altar.Â
You took a breath and looked at Eilos on your right. He was your partner for the runway. He gave a reassuring smile and linked his arms with yours. You plastered on a bright smile and made your way down the aisle. Your heels clicked, but the sound was overwritten by the loud ensemble. The beats made by the double-bass had practically banged on your ear drums. You and Eilos parted ways as you lined yourself next to March.
There she was, Firefly in the most grand, white wedding dress you have ever seen. Blade arms were wrapped around Fireflyâs. You swore you saw a tear run down his cheek as he gave her away to Stelle. It sure does bring you back.
-
Sundayâs eyes widened. The sight of you was refreshing, like a fresh breath of air. It always was. Once Dove saw his mother, he almost immediately turned to look at his father. He tried his best at analyzing and picking apart at every facial expression he had. The conclusion still remained, Sunday was still in love with you.
-
The night grew tireless. The couple gave their vows, and many gave their speeches and blessings (you included, of course). Once the ceremony was done and the celebration began, you almost immediately threw yourself at the bar. Finally, you can let loose and party. Drink after drink, you couldnât help but find yourself at the dance floor.Â
After an hour or so, your heels were digging into your feet. Chatting it up with attendees, and flirting with some, really drained the energy from you. Before you could speak to the bartender, someone else had beaten it to you.Â
âOne margarita please.âÂ
You sat inside the lecture hall, dozing off with a yawn. A couple weeks had passed since that mixer. You fidgeted your pencil in between your index and middle finger, letting the plastic tap the back of your fingers repeatedly. You suddenly straightened your back, reminding yourself youâre in public. You couldnât help but tune out your professor, and instead turned your attention to the people in your seminar. As you looked to your right you noticed a familiar set of yellow eyes looking at you.Â
He may seem composed but the moment your eyes met he immediately covered his with his wings. It may just be muscle memory of his, but you couldnât help but have a cocky expression lie on your face.Â
From your first meeting, you never took Sunday as a liberal studies type, but knowing his status and his people skills, he may need it. Afterall, he was rumored to be the next head of The Family. Whatever that meant, you werenât really too interested in his status or his family, but rather the man himself.Â
He seemed polite, was quite good looking, and mysterious. Who wouldnât want that??
You took a breath and continued to write down notes and actually pay attention to your professor. Unbeknownst to you, Sundayâs heart had skipped a beat upon looking into your eyes. He didnât even realize he was staring so much. He put his hand to his chin, he didnât lose his cool that often. Until he met you.
-
You began packing up your stuff, sighing as you stood up straight. You pressed your hand into your shoulder and massaged the tension filled muscle.Â
âExcuse me,â called a soft voice to your right.
You nearly jumped. You hated it whenever you were caught off guard.
You looked to your right as your nerves settled, Sunday stood tall and composed. Maybe youâre imagining it, but is there a sign of blush on his cheeks? A smile crept across your face as you picked your bag up and gently slung it around your shoulder.Â
âYouâre Sunday, right?â Of course you knew that, you just wanted to see how he would react if you said his name.
And of course, the blush across his face grew deeper and the wings that sat on the side of his head twitched. He was cute, really.Â
âYes,â He looked at your bag and saw an opportunity.Â
âI can hold that for you,â he offered with a smile. You gave him a simple thank you and handed him your bag. âI was wondering if you wanted to go out again?â
Oh, there was no way you would pass up on this opportunity.Â
You could recognize that voice anywhere. It was soft, yet firm. You didnât want to look at him, you couldnât. You almost scoffed, almost, but surprisingly you held it in. It caught you off guard, big time. You wished you could almost fall down a rabbit hole and never come out, maybe then you could live the life of your dreams with no responsibilities and awkwardness. Maybe smoke with a blue caterpillar. Then again, you hated running away, you could face things head on. Just like the time you first brought the papers to his attention.Â
Sunday took the seat next to you, he watched as you immediately sat up straight. He stayed quiet, you were still the same.Â
âWhat are you doing here?â Your voice came out rougher than you intended.Â
The bartender walked by and placed the margarita in front of Sunday, he then proceeded to gently slide the drink towards you. He wasnât expecting a thanks. You reluctantly took the drink and took a deep sip.Â
âSame reason youâre here.âÂ
He knew what you meant, but he still provided a vague answer. He didnât want to rile you up nor aggravate you. He remained composed, but worry seeped into his thoughts. He looked at your appearance. Despite your heavy makeup, he could still see signs of exhaustion. You hated how he kept that calm voice. Even though you once loved it, bathed in his words of reassurance, especially during your pregnancy with Dove.Â
Silence remained between the both of you. The loud music still rang through the venue and the neon lights were near blinding.Â
âYou look beautiful in that color,â Sunday said softly before taking a sip of his water.Â
You simply nodded before abruptly standing up. You needed to get out. Your ex-husband is talking to you, outside of texts regarding Dove. Heâs talking to you outside of drop-offs. The music is too loud, the lights are suddenly too flashy, and people are too damn noisy. You didnât know where you were going, you just rushed out of the venue. Sunday quickly followed you. He quickly noticed your stumble.
âWait!â He called out for you, watching your every move.Â
You pushed open the big double doors, the cool wind hitting your skin. The moon was shining bright. The noise and lights of the venue finally were drowned out, except there was one thing left. Sunday. He gently grabbed your wrist, his other hand made it to your waist as you nearly fell off a tiny step. You looked into his eyes, for the first time in forever. It almost hurt. No one looked at you the way Sunday did. He always had this special shine in his eyes whenever he saw you.Â
And for him, it was always you.Â
âJust tell me why are you really, truly here for?â your voice cracked.Â
He held his breath, it was embarrassing for him to admit, but he wasnât ashamed.Â
âYou,â his voice was raw, âI was here because I wanted to see you.â He had worry etched across his face, he was being honest, raw, and it hurt.Â
You shook your head and tried pushing him off, reluctantly, he let go.Â
A few tears fell down your face. It wasnât sadness. It was all the pent up anger inside you. It felt as if you just ripped off a bandaid, only to discover that the wound was still fresh.Â
âYou shouldâve been there for me when you had me.â The harsh words just fell out of your mouth. Mascara was running down your face, Sunday reached to wipe it off. You used your wrist to push his hand away, the movement was sloppy and not at all graceful. Maybe itâs the alcohol taking over. You walked back inside, it was better to be with a loud atmosphere rather than a tense one where the silence felt deafening. Sunday wanted to reach out, but he knew you were right. After the double doors closed shut with a slam, his phone rang. He immediately picked up upon seeing the name.Â
âDad, can we go home? I kinda threw up in the bathroom stallsâŚâ
Sunday sighed.Â
âMeet me outside.â
-
You made your way to say goodbye to your friends as soon as you got back inside. Congratulate them and all those other formalities. Luckily they werenât hard to find. You, March, and Stelle gave each other sloppy, drunken hugs, whereas Dan Heng gave you a firm one and wished safety for your ride back home. Although he did question your messy, tear-filled appearance. Firefly put her hands in yours as you cried while congratulating Stelle and Firefly. Your mascara stains your face and becoming more smudged than it already was.Â
Just as you were making your way to the back exit, you bumped into a familiar figure.Â
âWoah there,â his voice was honeyed as he chuckled. His hands went to the small of your back as you bumped into his chest.Â

The wedding invitation e-card was simple, yet grand. Yellowish gold adorned the sides and corners of the invitation card that was sent via link. Atop of the letter were two names, bold and capitalized.Â
YOUâRE INVITED!
STELLE AND FIREFLYâS WEDDING
No little kids and everyone is allowed a plus one.
The wedding will be this Saturday, doors will open at 6!
Venue: Penaconyâs Dreamscape
Be there or be squared! -STELLE
You already knew of the wedding, afterall you were one of Stelleâs bridesmaids. Stelle would be wearing a sparkly black dress, yet she requested you guys (the bridesmaids) wear a representative color she chose for you. The dresses she selected were in different colors, yet had the same silhouette. March had a color soft pink, Dan Heng (somehow a bridesmaid) was given a tux that was a deep, dark, olive color, and yours was just stunning! There was just one problem, you didnât have a plus-one, or a date. Having no plus one (and your last relationship being a failure) left you with no options. You also didnât have Dove for the week, afterall, he was with his father. You stared at the card and sighed, maybe itâs best to go to the wedding alone.Â
You turned your phone off with a simple click. The screen faded to black and all you saw was your reflection, dark circles surrounded your eyes. You sighed once more, but hey, things will get better. At least thatâs what you told yourself as you opened the door to start your day.Â
-
Sundayâs phone buzzed, his hand gently flipped it over.Â
123456
YOUâVE BEEN INVITED! -STELLE & FIREFLY
He raised an eyebrow and clicked the notification. Attached under the three words was a link. A wedding invitation, it really took him back.. He hadnât seen one in awhile, the last time being your wedding. Dove noticed the way his eyes lookedâŚshocked, or maybe amused?
âDad, whatâs wrong?âÂ
Sunday looked up and locked his phone, âItâs nothing.â
Dove nodded and sat down on the opposite side of his father at the dining table. On his plate laid the fluffiest pancakes that looked like they belonged in a dream. Homemade whip cream, strawberry jam, and a side of sunny-side-up eggs.Â
âYou know Auntie Stelle, right?â Sunday asked as he looked up at Dove. He had the smile of a doting father.
Dove simply nodded before responding with another question, âWhy?â
âWanna come to her wedding with me?âÂ
Dove looks up, almost surprised.
âDad, you donât have a girlfriend, or anyone else to go with?âÂ
Sunday felt a little hurt, honestly. Being one year away from 40 and not getting any play for 12 years hurts. Especially when your son says it.Â
âNo,â Sunday replied. He wasnât ashamed, but being hung up on your ex-wife really hurts.Â
Dove simply sighs and shakes his head.Â
-
March patted your back and whispered âgood luckâ to you before running off to meet her date. Still standing at the gazebo, you mustered up all the courage to talk to Sunday. You looked around, but he was⌠gone?
Whatever, I mean who needs a date. You were always an independent person anyways. You began to circle the park, seeing that everyone was so invested into their dates. Even March. At least you could take some selfies and pictures of the dimly lit park for your instagram post.Â
Squatting down, you looked into the lake that was a few feet behind the gazebo. Luckily it was far enough that the music from the mixer became a soft hum. All you heard was the soft sounds of the waves and the breeze. It was awfully chilly; goosebumps began to litter your skin. Unfortunately for you, you had already lent March your blazer (and no itâs not those grandma ones, thank you).Yet when you looked upâto your surpriseâit was Sunday. Standing to the left side of the lake.Â
Before you knew it, your body was moving on its own. You stood up so swiftly that you could feel the blood rush to your feet, not a good feeling. You brushed your dress off and made your way towards Sunday.Â
âExcuse me,â you said softly, almost scared that if you spoke too loud he would run away.
Sunday turned to face you, his features were soft under the moonlight. The wings perched on his head fluttered for a quick second.
âCan I help you?â His words came out a bit harsher than intended, but his soft smile made up for it.Â
You laughed a little before responding, âNo, but can I? Afterall, youâre standing alone at a mixer, why come but not⌠I donât know, mix?âÂ
Sunday knew you were teasing him, but he couldnât help but feel a bit flustered. Somehow, he remained composed as ever.Â
âI was tricked into coming,â he admitted while adjusting the cuffs of his tux.
You smiled, you didnât think Sunday was good company at first.

She quickly zipped up the dress in the blink of an eye, so quick that your back arched a little. March couldnât help but poke at the side of your stomach due to your reaction. You laughed a bit and poked her back, it took you back to your younger days.

Sundayâs eyes widened. The sight of you was refreshing, it always was.
Chatting it up with attendees, and flirting with some, really drained the energy from you (despite being tipsy).
You found your way back to the bar, walking in between hot crowds of people filling up the hotel's lobby. You sat down, feet finally getting rest. And before you can order yourself a drink, someone else has beaten it to you.
âOne Margarita, and donât forget the lime please.â
You froze. You could recognize that voice anywhere, no matter how hard you tried to scrub it off your memories.
-
âYou wereâŚtricked?â you questioned, wanting to get to know him. Well, you also wanted to make the most out of this mixer.Â
Sunday sighed, âIâd rather not discuss the details.â
You let out a chuckle. Then a light breeze blew past you, it earned a slightly aggressive shiver out of you. A coat quickly wrapped around your shoulders, quite the gentlemen, right?
He stood there, adjusting the cuffs of his button up, paying no mind to the fact he just gave you his coat. Face flushed, you looked up at him and smiled, âThank you.â
He looked down, his gaze slightly softened and he felt his heart poundâit even skipped a beat. A loud crash was heard, you whipped around your head and Sundayâs gaze had followed yours. March had dropped a bottle of alcohol, her face was flushed, and her laugh was a little too loud. She was drunk, and that was a sign knowing you guys had to call Dan Heng for a ride home. You immediately rushed over to be her knight in shining armor, her PR team. Sunday blinked as he watched you dash over to her, he followed after, per usual.Â
You hooked her arm onto her shoulder, she leaned into you and cried, âSorry! Girls like me can have their moments too!âÂ
Her smile was bright, you couldnât help but reflect her carefree expression.Â
Sunday awkwardly stood to the side, too prim and proper to be around a group of tipsy or wasted college students.Â
âCould you please grab my phone from my purse?â You asked him, and of course, he complied. He dug through your purse and held your phone, âDid you need me to call your friend?â
You nodded and told him your phone's password, he dialed it and looked through your phone app.Â
dan heng (dd)
He clicked the number after seeing those two letters in parentheses. The phone rang twice before the man on the other end picked up, âHello?âÂ
Sunday held the phone close to your face, âMarch is pretty drunk, think you can pick us up now?âÂ
âIs she alright?â you could already hear Dan Heng getting out of bed and grabbing his car keys.
âSheâsââÂ
âIâm fineee!â Called March, right, forgot Sunday had put him on speaker.Â
âIâll be there in 20,â and then the line went flat.Â
You sighed out of relief and looked up to Sunday as he put your phone back into your purse.Â
âThanks for tonight,â you said with a smile, March leaned into you more, like a clingy cat.
âWait, let me walk you out,â Sunday didnât know what was falling out of his mouth, he didnât really express his wants or care for strangers. Yet he felt like it was his duty to stay with you. You let him walk you two out. The three of you sat down on a bench that was a 5 minute walk away from the park. You looked out onto the road, looking for Dan Heng's car. March dozed off, and there was an awkward silence between you and Sunday. Thankfully, Dan Hengâs car pulled up at the right time.Â
âThis is us,â you gently helped March back up, she groaned and let out a complaint that you couldnât quite catch, âit was nice meeting you!â
Sunday watched you stand up, he simply smiled and waved you off.
He watched your ride leave.Â
its been a good week since you & satoru have broken up, you thought nothing of it. it was simply too much stress, finals, so many exams and on top of that a boyfriend that believes you donât care for him. wellâŚat the time you didnt have the capacity to, so you told him âweâre doneâ. maybe he could find someone with the mental capacity to take care of him.
you were wrong.
he stood outside of your off campus apartment window.
he held a blue tooth speaker in one hand, and his phone in the other. he went over the top and wore the clothes you said he looked good in. which really were just clothes that clung to his body and hung low at his waist.
âbabe, i know i caused you so much stress butââ honestly you tuned out the words when he started speaking becauseâwas that fetty wap?
before you know it, trap queen by fetty wap just straight up BLASTS through the blue tooth speaker. he knows you had been streaming his music for a good minute, but why use it to get you back?
he looked pathetic, honestly, but gosh he did wear it good. you couldnt help yourself from smilingâand dont think tgat didnt go unoticed.
âthatâs the smile i love,â he looked up at you and screamed the lyrics, âSHES MY TRAP QUEEN, INTRODUCE HER TO MY STOVEâ
he pointed towards you and you couldnt help but laugh, like actually laugh out loud.

mentions of scamming men LOL, mentions drĂźgs, 602 words... all fun in games really, fast paced.
Code Name: Childe
Title: Tartaglia
The most wanted con man ever.Â
Typically goes for rich and corrupted millionaires/billionaires.Â
Never once screwed up, never will.
Rumor has it, there's a network full of people like him.
An army, if you will.
Method of scamming: varies, usually curates big cons.
Name: [REDACTED]
Just a woman who scams random people for money.
Typically the elderly or random men on the street.
Considered the best swindler in town, gets a couple hundred bucks here and there.
Has been caught a few times, but runs away effortlessly somehow.Â
Method of swindling: ranges from selling fake drßgs and products to randoms, catfishing old men on dating apps, etc⌠nothing too crazy.
Ginger hair, looks to be in his twenties, around the same age as name. He might be hard to scam, but nothing you canât handle. His face is flushed, a glass of vodka in his hand. Lime and salt decorates the rim of the glass. By the looks of it, he appears to be wasted, a perfect opportunity. You slowly approached the ginger haired man, sitting on the stool next to him.Â
âCan I get a glass of vodka?â you said to the bartender. Who was now turning a blind eye to the fact that youâre about to scam another poor man out of his hard earned money.
The ginger man turned his face towards you, âyouâve got good taste.â
He smiled, his breath reeks of alcohol. You would be lying if she said he wasnât handsome, especially under the warm lights of the bar.
You looked towards his drink, then back at his eyes. Blue, yet, there was something oddâsomething that you couldnât quite place. His eyes were different.Â
âAnd so do you,â you replied, putting on the most charming smile.Â
The man simply chuckled, equally as charming.Â
âIâm Ajax,â he said with a warm smile, âand you are?â
You proceeded to give him your name.Â
âPretty,â the man said under his breath, subtle, but you could still hear it.Â
Something in your gut told you it was intentional.
The bartender ringed up your vodka, sliding it down the counter. You patted yourself down for your wallet, looking through your purse. You sighed, your wallet just âmysteriouslyâ disappeared! This was an act you always played, this got you a good 50 bucks every night.Â
âSorry, you can take the drink back,â you said softly to the bartender, âforgot my wallet.âÂ
You moved to get up from your seat, but the ginger haired man moved. His movements were sloppy, yet sleek.Â
âIâll pay for her,â he said as he pulled out his black card. The bartender shared the same shocked expression you had.Â
âPlease, you donât ha-â
âMy treat,â said Ajax, âreserved just for you, pretty lady.â
âReally?â you said with shock still etched on your face, this time it was just acting.Â
Ajax chuckled, âYour acting could use some work, but itâs still useful.â
Your heart dropped, what the hell? You quickly dropped the act.
âExcuse me?â
âJoin my crew,â he said as she handed you wads of thick cash, the one hundred dollar Benjamin staring back at you. He basically handed you five grand right there. Youâre both shocked and surprised.Â
He then took your wrist, quickly writing down his number.Â
âIâll pick you up at five,â he said casually.
âpack all your clothes, new suit cases will be at your doorstep byâŚâ he looked towards his watch and continued, âaround ten-ish.â
âWaitâfive, ten?â you were confused, what was he on about?
âYes, five in the morning, ever been to Milan?â

âI hate my dad,âÂ
âAnd why is that?â
âBecause heâs still in love with my mom.â
âWait, wait, waitâbut your parents are divorced..?â said the bewildered Clementine, her voice rising up at the end with shock.
âItâs complicated,â were the words that fell out of Doveâs mouth.Â
Clementine looked towards dove as she watched his hair flow through the wind, almost feather like (excluding the actual feathered wings on his head). She placed her hands next to her thighs; her palms being pressed onto the bench they were seated on.Â
Sitting on the roof was their thing ever since they were kids, and surely after doves parents had divorced. Every playdate they had, they somehow winded up on the roof of clementines house. They did this especially on hot summer
days. When the UV rays hit exceptionally high levels, or when their popsicles would just become sticks after a few seconds under the sun.Â
Now, here they are. Standing roughly 5â5-5â10ft tall, this duo was inseparable.Â
Clementine yawnedâher previously pressed palms now reaching for the skies.Â
âits weird,â dove noticed, âhe refuses to do anything about it.â
Clementine looked back at him. She took a breath, stood up, and then proceeded to lean against the steal railings. Now front facing her pondering friend, listening to his words as she could truly gauge at his facial expressions.
He looked up at her as he spoke, âheâs never tried dating other people, like, ever.â
Clementine just nodded as she looked at him, her eyes matching his.
âItâs as ifââ Dove abruptly stood up, almost awakening something in himself, âhes begging for my mom to come back to him, yet he wont do anything about it.â
Clementine looked at Dove, shocked at his sudden movements, but also at his words.
âIsnât sheâyâknowâŚâ Clementine looked around, as if the answer wasnt in his face, âdating that mister⌠oh-! mr. veritas!â
âThey broke up awhile ago,â dove said with a sigh, âbut thatsânever mind, the point is,â dove looked up at Clementine and his eyes had a mixture of disappointment and disapproval.
âI just want my dad to man up,â he admits, âits been like...10 years since the divorce.â
Senior year of college, PCU (Penacony University), 4 years before marriage.
See, Sunday had a full-ride to PCU; matter of a fact, he didnât need one. everyone knows him as a filthy rich nepo-baby. he had connections that practically filled up a whole phonebook and pockets that ran deep, full of money.
meanwhileâŚ
(name)Â was a transfer student from the previous year. she came from some no-name community college, and an even nameless family. she was already drowning in debt from her junior year aloneâthat being her first year at PCU.Â
Sunday was that prince-like man that could have any girl wrapped around his finger, yet he remained completely oblivious to his own charms. (name) was just a regular student, sure she stood out occasionally, just not as much as Sunday.Â
Aventurine slung his hand other to Sundayâs shoulder in the library, giving it a light pat before retracting it and sitting straight in the creaking wooden chair.
âIsnât it the most handsome face of all of PCU!â said Aventurine, cheerful yet sultry at the same time.Â
Sunday looked towards Aventurine, giving him a glance and then back at his college ruled notebook. He knows Aventurine wants something, or is just causing mischiefâwellâfor a cause.Â
âIs there something you want to tell me?â said Sunday, his voice having an underlying tone of agitation underneath the light and soft cover of his words.Â
Aventurine pushed down his sunglasses, giving Sunday a slyâcunning glance. he proceeded to cross his legs, keeping himself proper as Sunday would want.Â
âletâs go to a mixer!â Aventurine blurts out with a smile.
Sunday looked at him like he was crazy. First and foremost, Aventurine is a calculating man. So why would someone as cunning as him tell Sunday to just âgo to a mixer.â
(name)Â (being drowned in debt) took up an offer of going to a mixer with her friend March, for the mere price of $50.
$50 is $50, is what (name) thought. See, what she didnât think about were the people who were going.Â
âits going to be so much fun!â exclaimed march, âwhat if youâll find that rich CEO youâve been dreaming about?â
(name) brushed her off, but a smile crept out at the thought of a guy paying off your debts. Itâs a dream, but dream big girl!
âMaybe youâll find a partner that listens to you and tends to your heart!â said (name) in the same tone as marches.
The duo squealed and fantasized about their fairytale lives, just the thought of it all made their hearts flutter. March proceeded to link arms with (name), a simple action, yet showed how strong their bond truly is. Just like two cherries tied to one stem!Â
The duo initially wanted to invite their beloved Dan Heng, for their trio would never be complete without him. Unfortunately he couldnât go due to him working at the library to tutor kids for a few extra bucks. Even if he had time, the pair knew he would still turn down their offerâor at least tag-a-long just to make sure they donât get too drunk, or even be their chauffeur.
The strong aroma of coffee leaked through doves door. his scrunched up at the smell of it as he wiped the crust off of his eyes. his fatherâSundayâmustâve had a rough night in his study as usually. Sunday stepped down from working for The Family (his fathers company & organization) and decided to be a college professor in the field of psychology. Away from all the noise of an office job and closer to being with his son.
Dove sluggishly slipped out of bed, his hand running through his (h/c) locks. he would be a spitting image of his father if it wasnât for his hair and eye color. Sunday always thought his sonâs features were (softer/stronger) like his motherâs compared to his. he truly saw her in everything she created.
Dove stepped into the dining room with a shiver. His eyes fell onto his fatherâs as he sat there with a melancholy expression on his face. Sunday snapped out of his trance, his head looking up at his sonâs.Â
âMorning, dove,â said Sunday, heâs smiling but itâs not quite reaching his eyes. His glasses were falling down the tip of his nose before he pushed them back up.
Dove simply nodded as Sunday took a sip of his coffee. Sunday had learned how to cook after providing for his younger sister, Robin, His cooking was exceptional, but Dove had been so used to it, this was his norm. Dove always thought whatever he had at a restaurant, his father could make it ten times better. Of course, Dove would never say that out loud (his primary school days donât count).
Aventurine just wanted what was best for his friend and wanted to see how drunk he would get). He wanted him to let loose after the harsh exams they just they had. Robin and Aventurine both took note of the mans stress, curating a plan to convince him to go.
âWhy do I have to spend my time at mixer?â his voice had a twinge of sharpness to it, yet remained soft-spoken as ever.
âWell, Robins going,â Aventurine said as he looked to Sunday, wanting to see his reaction.
Sundays head perked towards his, almost shocked his sisterâhis baby sister would go to something as foolish as a mixer!Â
Robin wasnât actually going, but she and Aventurine knew that her name would certainly trigger his parental instincts.
Aventurine smiled, saccharine dripping from his words, âDonât you wanna protect your dear sister?âÂ
Sunday stood up abruptly, âIâll go,â is what slipped out his mouth.Â
âGreat! Iâll let Sampo know weâre going.âÂ
Aventurine smiled and quickly sent a text to both Sampo & Robin. The planned worked and operation Stress Free Sunday was in motion.
Both (name) & March spent several hours getting ready, meanwhile Dan Heng sat there and rated their outfits. A majority of them he just gave an approving hum, or he just looked at the clock so he knows when to leave. He really did enjoy their company, despite his platonic love being on the quiet side. Caelus and Stelle on the other hand clapped, gave tiny speeches when their outfits were mind-blowing, or critiqued the outfits like the families on Say Yes to The Dress. Finally, March settled on a beautiful, short, white dress with blue accents. It was frilly yet flowing at the same time, perfectly suiting March's bubbly personality. (name) settled on a cute outfit where her confidence was soaring through the roof. A perfect mix of sexy and cute, something that certainly leaves a good first impression. Their hair was all done, makeup perfectly making with their undertones, all with the help of Stelle and Caelus of course.
Dan Heng stood up, ready to drive the pair to their mixer. Stelle and Caelus stayed behind. The trio stepped outside into the cold air. Dan Heng insisted that March would wear a thicker jacket, but she always replied with, "it just ruins the outfit." Dan Heng climbed into the front seat while March and (name) sat in the back. They didn't want to sit next to Dan Heng, just in case anyone got the wrong idea.
Dan Heng looked up to the rearview mirror, "Do you guys have your seatbelts on?"
(name) had already fastened hers, March had just slipped hers in with a sharp click.
"We do!" replied (name).
Dan Heng simply nodded and started his carâa rundown, gray, Honda civic. March pulled out her phone, looking at (name), "Cheese!" She said with a bright smile.
They looked back at the photo in Marches gallery, both of them have the peace sign help up and smiling brightly. The drive was about 30 minutes. They both sang along to the songs on the radio, they may be off key, but the memories make up for it. Soon Dan Heng pulled up to the rented out park that had a massive gazebo.
"We're here," Dan Heng stated, "be safe, and don't do anything I wouldn't do.
"We won't!" March and (name) called out as they climbed out of the car. Dan Heng watched them leave and drove off.
"Alright," March said under her breath as she dusted off the hem of her dress, "Let's take a bunch of cute pics, and hopefully get a second date!" March winked to (name)
Aventurine and Sunday made their way to the mixer. Sampo had rented out a park nearby PCU. It had a large gazebo, perfect for parties, a garden, and a tiny lake. Honestly, nobody knows how Sampo even got into PCU, or where he got the money to afford renting out a place like this.
The dress code was semi-formal. Aventurine being the flamboyant man he is, wore flashy sunglasses, unbuttoned both his blazer and blouse, and then proceeded to black matching slacks. Sunday, on the other hand, wore a whole tuxedo. It was simpleâafter allâhe was only here for Robin, or not.
Sunday stepped out of Aventurines car. They walked closer to the gazebo and Sunday began searching for his sisters face. What he did find was whole bottles of various alcoholic beverages, cigarettes littered throughout the area, and actual birds that certainly weren't his sister. Sunday soon came to the realization that Aventurine lied. He sighed and began to walk back to the Gazebo after circling the park for a good 20 minutes.
Aventurine looked towards Sunday, seeing the expression on his face let him know he finally figured it out. Sunday took a breath and spoke, his voice still soft as ever, "I'll be taking my leave now."
Aventurine was about to stop him, until someone else did. Sampo stepped into the center of the Gazebo, holding a cup full of popsicle sticks. Everyone cheered and people began to gravitate towards him. This ultimately trapped Sunday in the crowd, leaving him with no exit and no choice but to look towards Sampo.
Sampo smiled and locked eyes with Sunday before looking towards everyone else. "Hi everyone!" His smile shining bright, "I'm Sampo and it's a pleasure meeting you all!" Sampo gave a spiel about the whole mixer before actually explaining the rules.
"Here I have a cup of popsicle sticks, each popsicle stick has a color coordinating pair," the blue haired man explained, "the two people who have the same colored popsicle stick will be a pair for tonight!" Sampo proceeded to point towards Sunday, "You, in the tux!"
Sampo's green eyes pierced through Sundays. He began to reluctantly walk towards the gazebo, embarrassed, but also agitated. But luckily, Sunday isn't the type of person to show his emotions on his face. He smiled, clearly media trained from birth. He dipped his hand into the cup and proceeded to pull a popsicle stick, the bottom was colored yellow with a marker.
Sampo began calling multiple people up, one by one. Some disappointed, others excited for the person they pulled. Then, it was (name)'s turn. She dipped her hand in, March looked towards her with anticipation. March had already pulled a popsicle stick, hers colored a dark green.
Name proceeded to pull her popsicle stick, her eyes closed. March gasped, shocked. Slowly, her eyes opened, yellow. The same bright yellow Sunday had pulled. March was shocked, "If you get a second date, will I be able to meet Robin?
