So I posted this status on my FACEBOOK about how meninism is horrible and how it discredits feminism. I mentioned a few topics like the wage gap and school dress codes, and I shit you not this guy commented saying that I was over exaggerating and that the wage gap isn’t real. Then says later that he is all for feminism but he doesn’t believe that half this stuff actually happened.

Well the wage gap isn’t real - at least not the way that feminism claims it is. Feminism claims that women make 77c for every dollar a man makes and that this is discrimination. However this figure is reached by simply taking the average take home pay of all full time workers. It therefore does not take into account number of hours worked, overtime worked, relative experience, job title or even area of work. So it is not a like for like comparison, and when you do factor in these things then the ‘wage gap’ all but disappears.

The truth is there is an earnings gap between men and women, but once you factor in the fact that men on average work longer hours, work more overtime and take on more dangerous jobs (which are often highly paid) then we can see that this gap is actually not due to discrimination but to the different personal choices men and women make. So if feminism wants to see this earnings gap disappear then the only way it can do this is to encourage women to take on more dangerous and dirty jobs, to work longer hours and often to completely change their own choice of career path in order to equalise these numbers. 

But of course equality of outcome should not be the aim - equality of opportunity should. And we already have that - women are free to take on any career path they choose just as men are. However feminism does not seem to want to acknowledge this and this is why it still peddles the 77c figure and claims it is discrimination. And actually this is exactly one of the reasons that parody movements like meninism do discredit feminism - because feminism is spreading non factual information in this area and it absolutely should be discredited for that.

Does four out of our six members being white make us racist? Does having only 1 person that is not heterosexual make us homophobic? Does having no transgender people make us transphobic?

I suppose I should clarify what our opinions are.

We said that we are anti-SJW. We never said that we were KKK members.

We are also most definitely not republicans.

The one thing that I could imagine someone like you having a problem with is that we believe in the actual medical definition of transgender, and not just “feeling” like something else. Dysphoria, not just wanting to be something else to feel special, is what makes someone transgender. If you want to argue about that, do it off anon.
