To me Morocco has a better flag just because of the pentagram, it makes the flag stand out better than a generic tricolor.

It also is a good reminder, when teaching about religious symbols, that the pentagram is alot more than just the "symbol of witchcraft"

While I kinda agree, I have to point out the French flag is the original vertical tricolour. The reason why it looks generic is because everyone else copied the design.

Commodoren puhelimeen ei saa ladattua useimpia sosiaalisen median sovelluksia, vaikka yrittäisi. Sama pätee nettiselaimiin.

Pöytäkoneistaan ja peleistään tunnettu Commodore tarjoaa ratkaisuksi simpukkapuhelinta, jolla ei voi somettaa eikä käyttää internetselainta. Commodore Callback 8020 -puhelimessa on kuitenkin nykystandardien mukainen verkko, kamerat ja äänentoisto. Myös useimmat Android-pohjaiset sovellukset toimivat, mutta ilman Android-käyttöjärjestelmää.

Puhelimessa on suomalaisen Jolla-ohjelmistoyhtiön kehittämä Sailfish OS. Yhteistyö käynnistyi keväällä, kun Fractic otti yhteyttä Jollan toimitusjohtaja Sami Pienimäkeen ja kysyi, voisiko Callback-puhelimessa käyttää heidän käyttöjärjestelmäänsä. ”Meillä on yhteinen suunnittelufilosofia, joka pitää sisällään ennen muuta sen, että yksityisyydensuojaa on kunnioitettava. Sailfish ei kerää käyttäjästään mitään dataa, ja asia on absoluuttisesti näin”, Pienimäki kertoo. Pienimäen mukaan tämä on olennainen ero verrattuna Googlen Android-käyttöjärjestelmään, jossa imuroidaan käyttäjästä dataa esimerkiksi mikrofonin sekä silmän- ja kädenliikkeitä seuraamalla.

Datankeruuta koskeva huoli koskee usein kuitenkin juuri sovelluksia. Mitä hyötyä yksityisyyden varmistavasta käyttöjärjestelmästä on, jos viestittely tapahtuu kuitenkin käyttäjien tietoja laajamittaisesti hyödyntävän Metan sovelluksella? Pienimäki toteaa, että puhelimen käyttöjärjestelmä ei voi säädellä sitä, mitä tietoa käyttäjä on itsestään ladannut Metan sovelluksiin vuosien varrella. Sen sijaan käyttöjärjestelmä estää sovellusta käyttämästä vaikkapa mikrofonia tai puhelimen etukameraa datankeruutarkoituksessa. ”Tällöin sovellusten on selvästi vaikeampaa tehdä käyttäjästä markkina-analyysiä. Ja veikkaan, että aika harvat asiakkaistamme haluavat Facebookin puhelimeensa, vaikka se mahdollista olisikin.”

Itseäni huvittaa tämä Commodoren kananpään liimailu kaikkiin mahdollisiin hieromasauvoihin. Mitään jatkumoahan sillä kasarilla loistonpäiviään viettäneeseen puljuun enää ole ja Jack Tramielkin kuoli aikaa sitten, sitäpaitsi C64 on noin teknisesti ottaen (äänipiiriä lukuunottamatta!) melko huono tietokone ja oikea Commodore taisi olla ystävät ja demot, joita kohtasimme matkalla. (Amiga taas on oma lukunsa, Amiga, Homestuck ja homostelu ovat sellaisia kulttuurillisia juggernautteja, joiden lähipiirissä olen elänyt, mutta joista en tajua mitään)

Muuten en tajua tätä härpättiä, kai nyt puhelimesta saa muutenkin häiritsevät somet pois, jos se on ongelma, mutta sähköposti, erilaiset matkustusapit, selain satunnaisten asioiden selvittämiseen ja ennen kaikkea vehje, joka kertoo kartalla, että missäs perkeleessä sitä ollaan ja mistä pääsee paikkaan X ovat kullanarvoisia. Jos joku miettii, että miten ennen pärjättiin, niin mm. ei pärjätty, eksyin aika usein ja siitä seurasi kaikenlaista hämminkiä.

I never really thought of myself as a person that likes to exercise or do sports, that is, before I discovered the joys of cycling. Holy shit. Oh my dace. Cycling is fucking amazing. It’s such a versatile activity!!! I can choose to cycle around the city to explore all the sights much faster and easier, just meandering around, I can choose to cycle long distance to someplace new or old, I can choose to cycle a certain route as fast as I can! Not only do I get the benefit of moving fast from point A to point B but I also get to savour all the sights around me, hear the birds, feel the wind on me, smell the flowers, take it all in. And if all that wasn’t just the best thing in the world already good cod does it just feel good to cycle. Really straining to reach a certain speed or going uphill makes me feel so alive. It makes my blood flow! And the feeling in my legs right after I’ve finished my route, AUGHHHH I live for that feeling, I really do. All my life I’ve felt like a wimp who could never reach the expected level of fitness if my life depended on it but when I cycle I feel so strong! I feel so capable! It’s amazing! I found My Sport and on cod I hope everybody finds theirs

Yep, the frame mounts for water bottles are not some racing thing, I found out that I can't just be arsed stop to drink and end up going on thirsty, where as at least the front one is easy to operate while riding and when it's empty, at that point it might be a good idea to stop to stretch or something. (I don't know about which kinds of plastics kills you most these days, but those Camelbaks at least taste better than random bottles)

Also, as 150 km is basically 50 km three times in a row, doable form most people with surprisingly little training, as the bicycle is one of the most efficient means of transport and it is easy to pull the speed of Marathon runner's world record for hours and hours. However: you must eat, preferably even before you get hungry. Sounds obvious but even experienced riders are sometimes fooled to think there's some mechanical problem when bike just stops going as it should. Nope, it's the engine.

Day 167/365 of listing something good I saw today:

A gorgeous well-kept old vintage (if not antique?) sports car. I'm no good at identifying cars on sight, have no idea how to look up different car types by looks alone, and I only saw a glimpse of it in traffic, but it looked something like this:

This one specifically is a 1955 EMW 327-3 Sport Coupe currently for auction in Finland, but its more common sibling is the older BMW 327 from 1937-1941. (They're otherwise identical, the EMWs were produced when the Soviets took over one of the BMW factories post-WWII.)

Obviously only you'd know for sure, but this seems to have both the fenders and the grill you drew, and the production was located in the right geographical location to be collected in your area.

Editing to add my fathers take: Could also be a Citroen (probably a Traction Avant?), which also have the swoopy fenders and have a notable V on the front grill, though those were more of a luxury sedan than the sporty racecar implied by the 86 numbering.

The Traction Avant does have the Citroën double-V on the grill, but it's famously point upwards. What I started thinking was an early Peugeot, one of the 02s, most probably the 302.

Although, I don't know many of these are in Finland, if any, on the other hand I have seen several Traction Avants.
