HELLUVA RANT ~ !!Spoilers!! ~ {Millie}
**Rant + How I think the show should handle it**
Sorry, desperately need to vent about this story beat from the last episode because nothing pisses me off more in a tv show than this. Millie is a character that we have been begging more development for. To me, she's always just kind of felt like a device to flesh out Moxxie, with Millie feeling so one dimensional. We got a little bit of Millie backstory in Ghost F****rs, but ultimately her purpose in being in the episode was to make Blitz feel better about himself. And as much as I love the short with her and her sister, that's a short, not the main show. Millie is always there to boost the depth and complexities of other characters at the expense of her own.
Making your underdeveloped female characters pregnant is a cheap and lazy way to develop them, in my opinion. And here's the thing, based off of M&M's interaction at the end of the season finale, I have a feeling that this pregnancy will not be about developing Millie, but rather developing Moxxie! Here me out.
Her tone of "You know I love you, right?", to me, implies that she's not going to want this kid. They're poor, and in a very dangerous line of work. I don't think she's going to want to go through with the pregnancy. Either she's going to terminate, and the story is going to put M&M's relationship on the line after Moxxie finds out, or he finds out before she decides to do something, causing him to try to talk her out of it. Frankly, I'm super uninterested in a story about a husband trying to convince his wife to do one thing or another.
What do I think is the best way that the show could handle this development? Maybe have Millie put off telling Moxxie, and have him completely and wholeheartedly support Millie in what she thinks is best for them. Maybe have a conversation about them communicating. Moxxie has shown that he wants to be there for her, and seeing him have unquestioning faith in his wife's decision would be very tasteful. But where's the drama in that? Moxxie's family. Have them interfere in some way. Preferably with Millie taking the charge in the encounter. Give me an angry badass woman standing up against someone wanting to control her, without making it all about Moxxie. The conflict does not need to come from Millie and Moxxie's relationship.
Do I hate that this is the direction the show has decided to take Millie's character? Absolutely. But it's not like there isn't a way to resolve it tastefully. I'm hesitant about the current direction of the show. For now I choose to be optimistic.

I can’t be the only young person in their 20s that is tired of anyone 5 years older than me talking about how old they are compared to me. Idk why I just find it so annoying
The thing about doomscrolling at 3am on a work night is that weird sensation of the experience being almost liminal. The feeling is only exacerbated by sleeping in a new space for the first time. The fear and anxiety it causes should be enough for me to put the phone down and roll over, but I can’t. The embrace of a parter at night still isn’t quite enough to make it go away. Paranoia is a monster I’m still learning to get over. It’s hard. It’s really hard. And it’s even harder to talk about without feeling crazy.
I think everyone experiences this feeling at some point in their lives. Work, school, moving, and preparing a large project that has the potential to be life changing for me has me on edge. Life is happening very quickly and very rapidly, and this simple activity of swiping on a screen feels like the only thing around me I have control over sometimes. I’m ready to not feel like I’m drowning. Where denying my body precious recovery time is where I feel the most sane, while simultaneously driving myself insane in the process.
Just a rant. My journal is in a box somewhere, so here is where my brain shall spill its thoughts.

the story will not 100% go as you planned. that is fine. that is a huge part of this medium. it's literally normal
