1) the terumob situationship
i hit them with the satosugu kfc break up special basically LMAO. in my ageswap au a few details go similarly in canon and one of those is terumob's first meet. but aside from being averse to harming others due to what happened with ritsu he doesn't quite have the vocabulary to teach teru anything. they fight, become friends, and teru gets an ego check + the fixation on mob but he keeps a lot of his pre-mob personality. because they're the only other natural esper they know for basically their entire middle school to high school lives + the fact that they're both pretty isolated regardless they get really close and a little (really) codependent.
but they don't actually agree on a lot of their philosphies regarding how their powers should be used and viewed and its not like they have anyone who would really Understand to discuss this with so eventually the disagreement reaches a breaking point and they "break up" around end of highschool. teru eventually joins claw and shigeo takes up tome's offer in helping her run an exorcism office.
fast forward a few more years and lo and behold, they re-unite on the battlefield...
the one i have set in stone for Sure is alcoholism. pre-reigen he has a flask of kahlua and milk in his trenchcoat that he takes a sip from throughout the day. post-reigen he just drinks a lot after work. he's a heavyweight so its not like he's getting plastered on or off the job but it's not a very good coping mechanism either way.
this one isn't nearly as frequent, but he also self-harms. he often scratches/grips his forearms as physically trying to restrain himself to the point of injury when he feels like ???% is going to come out as a poor attempt of grounding himself / physically trying to cast ???% away. this is more of an abstract version of self-harm but 100% or ???% simply being unleashed also tends to do more bodily damage to shigeo beyond fatigue
other habits i thought of that im still on the fence about / i imagine he tried but gave up on:
i see him as having tried smoking but he didn't really like the smell so he switched to alcohol
i had a thought of him having slept around like once or twice more as a funny little "kageyama shisho has game??????" joke than an actual Thing he's done but i can see him getting lured to bed a few times while tipsy but ultimately not continuing because he's there's just too much going on in his head to enjoy sex like that and trying to get intimate with a stranger actually ends up making it Worse
similarly i had a thought of him having done edibles or something more as a funny little "kageyama shisho does drugs???????" joke than anything lol. after looking into it, it seems that kind of thing is outrageously difficult to obtain in japan so its probably not something shigeo can keep doing in the long run, or even do At All. ill probably still make jokes about it though
ive heard of interpretations of ageswap mob where he becomes dependent on meds (like, not-illegal-but-still-addictive meds) but i dont really know enough about both the technicality of acquiring or getting prescribed drugs like nor the actual experience of struggling with an addictiion/dependency in that way, so if it's something i end up wanting to explore ill definitely have to do more research
