Snape became a Professor sometime in 1981, Tonks attended Hogwarts from 1984 to 1991. 

Snape was 24 when Tonks started school. Can you imagine? He’s BARELY an adult himself, teaching kids, and then in walks Tonks the walking disaster. Can you IMAGINE who utterly exasperated he must have been with her?!

Like, thirteen-years between them wouldn’t seem like a HUGE age gap when she was finally an adult, but damn, like… I bet he looks at her sometimes and just subtly shakes his head because GOD she was an annoying child. 

It actually amuses me to know end.
