Did I kill off the part of me I loved most?
You know what, fuck you *banishes you to the late 90s music video dimension*

Everyones allways like "Go, My Scarab" and throws me at a guy but no ones ever like "Come Here My Scarab" and gives me a hug, know what I mean?
Sorry @mutualcombat I didn't have any context of who to tag, I think I got it from FB like a year ago? I've only had Tumblr for like 2 weeks and haven't figured it all out yet and have just been posting things I think are fun? Is that not how this works?
Concept: cursed blade rehabilitation center. Destroying a sentient weapon is expensive and highly unethical, so adventurers bring them to the center where highly trained staff can care for them and eventually find them forever homes. It turns out most cursed weapons are products of trauma and are not strictly evil themselves. Some blades turn out to be fiercely protective companions. Others don't even want to be weapons at all, finding joy in simple work like blacksmithing or farming. Most blades just need to be loved.
A pack of bandits descend upon a seemingly undefended town. But the blacksmith's hammer, the farmer's scythe, the woodsman's axe, they have not forgotten what they once were, and they *will* defend the town that they have come to love.
This sweet girl has been with us for seven seasons. She was forged in the heart of a volcano and would be ideal for anyone with a preexisting fire affinity (she's a cuddler and is guaranteed to keep you warm in winter). She still loves burning, but it turns out you can only reduce the world to ash once. She would be perfectly suited for forest management that regularly requires controlled burns.
This weary old soul has grown tired of bloodshed and would much rather spend his days as an ominous decoration in a tavern or common room, a perfect fit for an adventurer looking to leave their dungeon crawling days behind. He likes peoplewatching with his single glowing eye, preferably from high, prominent locations with views of entrances and exits.
When I was in my teens, I used to make an entire magic system with 360+ unique spells, ordered in magic schools and categories, and it boggles my mind that I basically reinvented DnD mechanics, even down to metamagic.
I wanted to make a wiki about it but I don't have time for it.
The point was to try to encompass every "superpower" I could think of into a magic system.
I even got lore related to it all, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna simply reuse it all for OC worldbuilding. Ngl the fun part was naming all the spells, symbols and coming up with the logic of it all.
⚔️ Swordtember 2025 ⚔️ is just around the corner and I couldn’t be any more excited!
This marks my fourth year participating in this challenge creating magical swords for D&D 5e, and if you know me, you know how much I adore it.
This year, inspired by the amazing lists from Faith Schaffer (@faithschaffer) and Tim Kaminski (@randomspirits), I decided to put my own spin on things with a TTRPG and D&D-focused prompt list. Most lean hard into fantasy, but I threw in a few wildcards just to keep it interesting.
Remember: this is all about having fun, not stress. Skip prompts, make up your own, or combine with other lists. You can participate however this list inspires you, drawing, creating the stats or lore for a TTRPG, writing poetry… whatever sparks your creativity! Just one thing, no AI art, this is about human-made creations.
I’ll keep this list pinned to my profile so it’s easy to find. And I’d love to see what you create with it, so tag me in your posts so I can check them out and share them.
Now, let’s get those blades (and imaginations) sharp. Happy Swordtember!
