He doesn't push your hand away. After a beat Bakugo lifts his head slightly from your shoulder to kiss the side of your head. "Yeah. Work's been kicking my ass," he murmurs gruffly into your hair. "But don't tell anyone I just said that or I'll kick yours."

"I wouldn't dream of it..." She said softly, leaning against him. She used the silence following to slip into her own thoughts for a moment. Her smile slowly became bigger, and after time had passed, she nuzzled her head against him.

"Hungry? I can make something for you..."

He carefully brings his hand up to cup the other side of her head without fully touching with that fear of accidentally setting off his quirk and closes his eyes, letting the tension from the day melt away. "You're an idiot if you think I'm just gonna let you do that when I'm more than capable."

She gave him a look, raising her brow. Though, despite that, she made the move to lean against his hand, showing how much she trusted him. "Is it wrong to want to treat you? You had a long day. Even heroes need to relax..." Her eyes sparkled as she flashed a smile his way.

Bakugo freezes completely, eyes widened. Scared to even flex his fingers to palm your head better. His breath hitches. Then that's quickly replaced with his eyes narrowing. "Relaxation is weakness." He's still a bit short-circuited to actually snap anything back at you since this is the closest he's ever been to a girl or anyone really.

Yoko stared at him, then scoffed. She moved her hand this time, pressing her palm against his cheek, her thumb brushing against the scar under his eye. She ignored her own racing pulse, her eyes shining with sincerity and honesty. "Bakugo.... You're not some machine... You're human... you need to rest. Properly."

He averts his gaze not knowing what else. He's never been talked at before. Sure he's used to hero speeches and lectures from Deku especially, but this feels different. Then abruptly Bakugo pulls away as a deflection and gets off the couch. "I can handle a simple task as making something for us to eat and if you don't think I can, then DI-." He catches himself, finding himself doing that more frequently around you and he can't understand why. Bakugo groans in annoyance and frustration after a moment and marches to the kitchen on a mission and ignoring the fact it's not even his apartment. He rummages through the cabinets for pans, loudly clanging them as if they personally offended him.

She watched him leave, a small frown on her face. She sat there for a bit of time, giving him the space he needed. Though, her mind is in shambles, racing at breakneck speeds. After what felt like an eternity, she finally got up to join him in the kitchen, aiming to make some tea. Something to help both of them calm down, but mostly to stop her nerves from going into overdrive.

He stops cutting up the ingredients for a stir fry (which is beef and vegetables) for a fraction to look over in your direction and see what you're up to since Bakugo thought he made it clear he's got this. "What are you doing?"

Yoko glanced up at him with a small smile. "Figured some tea would help? I wanted to try a new blend that Yaoyorozu gifted me. It's blueberry and lavender..." She stepped over to the cabinets to get the tin out, then grabbed her kettle and began to fill it with water.

"Want me to make you some? It could help relieve stress..."

He exhales that could almost be mistaken for a huff with his eyes closed for a moment. Out of defeat? No. Bakugo never loses in something. Just strangely letting you have this. "Sure." He looks forward again and gets back to chopping up the vegetables and beef before turning on the burner to medium-low. "So it's new huh? Like haven't tried it before? Or?" With the same knife used for cutting he slides the ingredients off the cutting boards and into the pan before it got too hot then drizzles oil over it.

Yoko smiled softly, bringing the kettle to a separate burner and placing it on top. She then turned the heat for medium-high, making a mental timer for five minutes. She hummed a bit as she gathered the mugs and the other items to steep her tea, even grabbing some honey to add to the drinks.

"This one is new to me, yes. I've had lavender, and it always seems to work, but the floral taste is a bit strange to me... I prefer a fruit flavor to my tea..."

He takes note of that as if it's important to remember later. "What's so strange about floral?" Bakugo keeps attention on the food cooking as the aroma fills the kitchen. He'll be damned if it burns and grabs a spatula to flip it over in sections like he's done this countless times.
