A heartfelt thanks to my friends who were at the Assassin’s Creed Origins x Final Fantasy XV panel at Gamescom last summer and gifted me this amazing poster signed by AC Origins game director Ashraf Ismail and FFXV game director Hajime Tabata!
L’ARC in danger of disbanding due to 2 billion JPY of real estate - tetsuya does not deny.
L’Arc~en~Ciel may have just reached their 25th anniversary, but they are at risk of splitting up due to label troubles. The story revolves around financial “alchemy” by the head of the label, using profits he secretly took without informing the band members.
–
The band members have long been dissatisfied with the pay they received from the label, which is led by Oishi Masahiro (age 57), For instance, top selling artists normally receive a musician’s fee of 3 to 5% per million albums sold, but L’Arc’s members have only received 2.5%. Oishi always explained this by saying the label was “in the red,” but always refused to show relevant financial documents to the band members.
However, in truth, Oishi’s label makes over 1.5 bilion JPY per year and consistently produces over 20 million in JPY profits. According to Oishi, the money saved by underpaying the artists has gone into 2.2 bilion JPY of Tokyo real estate, notably a building in Hirakawacho and a penthouse in Ebisu.
Learning these facts has created an undeniable trench between the members and the label. However, the four independent members are not monolithic. They are divided, rather like SMAP, who have disbanded. According to our research, Oishi claims that “contract negotiations are under serious discussion.” When asked directly about disbanding and these troubles, the band leader, tetsuya, replied “No comment. I just don’t want to make the fans sad.”
– Further details about Oishi’s real estate dealings and L’Arc~en~Ciel’s label are available in our print edition.

Which one will you vote for?
Since you can choose only ONE option, I voted for “World of Ruin”.
SPOILERS!!!
(don’t say I didn’t warn you)
I’m uninterested in new playable characters, hard mode and upgrades.
Characters’ activities are a bit... meh (maybe apart from Luna’s).
Noctis’s disappearance might turn out to be just Noctis being trained by Bahamut, something I'm not really interested to play.
The line of Lucis... I have no idea what kind of content could it be.
Ardyn’s past and Ifrit’s betrayal (the latter might confirm or disprove a very thrilling theory about Ifrit and the Pitioss Dungeon I read on reddit) sounds interesting enough but as I said, you can choose only one option.
As for the World of Ruin... I was fascinated and a bit scared when Noctis reached what remained of the Golden Quay and found it abandoned and overrun by daemons (have you noticed the clothes on the floor?). And when we finally reached Hammerhead and Talcott told us what happened in that 10 years I started thinking “whoa, I’d so love to see how things went downhill”.
Finally getting around to those Kingsglaive things I mentioned and I’m gonna start with the ring. (There’s always a damn ring)
So Niflheim invades Insomnia to steal the crystal, and honestly thats all they need, thats all Iedolas seems to want. Steal the crystal, kill the king, break the city, thats all it takes and Insomnia is no longer a problem. They don’t need the ring, really Ardyn wants Noctis to eventually get it so he can face a truly realized King of Light so taking it wouldn’t make much sense in the grand scheme of things.
So why send Glauca after it with such drive?
Because it essentially kills two birds with one stone.
Send Glauca, controlled and driven by the Empire’s promise to free his home, and either way Ardyn wins (because really the motives of the Empire fall back on him)
Either Glauca fails (which honestly its like they expected that because they didn’t exactly wait around and started dropping demons into the city while he was still there like now that im thinking about it holy shit) and they don’t get the ring they even seem to care about and don’t have to deal with Glauca and his goal.
Or Glauca miraculously succeeds, Ardyn gets the ring but then has to deal with Glauca waiting for the Empire to deliver on their promise. Probably would have killed him himself.
Either way I don’t believe the plan was ever for Glauca to survive the fall of Insomnia. He was a tool that had completed its use. The Empire didn’t need him for anything else and definitely didn’t need to deal with him while hunting down Noctis and Luna.
Sending Glauca after the ring was more about getting rid of Glauca than actually getting the ring of the Lucii
