#its all about him having to pause tying his feet together#the intimacy of that act itself#especially how its just dean. no one else even in the room#implied that dean specifically requested it that way#or sam knew it wasnt his place#despite knowing cas for pretty much the same amount of time#because sam knows dean and cas are closer that they have something different#everyone knows. even dean and cas know...#and they finally address it in 15.18#but at this point just...#the separation of dean's grief for cas#how its confirmed it was about losing cas#like yes losing mary affected him too but#'losing cas damn near broke me'#later that season#its...#and then the pause#godddd goddddd#its so good#its sooo good#his body malfunctioning because of the insane amount of grief#he is trying to do this last thing for cas#(and then spread his ashes)#he is trying to focus and push his grief down just for now. just until he can put cas to rest physically#but its too much. he has to stop#he physically cant do it yet#and then the fade to the next scene...#who knows how many times he had to stop and swallow his grief or even let it out for a few minutes before returning#and then carrying cas' body outside to the pyre.....#tag limit reached sorry i just love widower dean (tags via: @destielgaysex)

obsessed w the campbells bc they really are THEE killers. john signed up to fight but the campbells are like we ARE the war and always have been. which is SO interesting in the context of mary-the-nightgown because it emphasizes more than anything else that 1) mary was playing a role and 2) dean got subsumed by a role he didn't know WAS a role until much later in life. like the mary fallacy is also the campbell fallacy. there IS no mother mary there IS no loving normal campbells which means deans WHOLE role in the family which he thought he was filling he was actually creating. MARY is not even mary. ONLY dean is mary

Not sure why it's a new trend among fic readers to assume if the fic has not been posted within the week it's inappropriate to comment on it, like the fic has to be hot out of the oven to give feedback for.

I got a comment on a fic that is less than a year old and it was mostly an apology for being a comment on an "old fic" and how late they were in commenting.

Just comment on the fic. Doesn't matter how old it is.
