that feeling when a character in a series/movie/dorama/lacorn instead of chasing after the main character who rejected them or trying to win them over simply walks off into the sunset unhurriedly and with a faint smile:

(and they may even help the main character’s chosen partner, even while that partner voices his jealousy and views them with suspicion)

that’s how I view those chinese historical dramas where the male lead isn't cold, cruel and all-powerful but genuinely kind and sweet and he and the female lead make such a calm, domestic duo:

"are you the one" / "hidden charm" - cui xing zhou × liu mian tang

that’s how I view those censored chinese historical dramas where the characters even without words of love, kisses or the like share a stunningly tragic chemistry, a deep bond and one of them would sacrifice at least his life for the other:

this film is the kind of project that leaves you in a sad, anxious mood all day long. as if the tragedy were real and there was nothing you could do. But the way the characters (played by engfa waraha and jeff satur) seem to reconcile at the end (each having been a victim in their own way) leaves behind that little sense of healing.

(this story line in "fangs of fortune" will always be a little special to me. a demon's betrayal by his human friend is nothing new in different dramas. but the fact that the minister kept the book and cared for it his entire life... did he ever think about his former friend? did he feel guilty towards him and therefore helped the main characters? we never know... so please write a fic about them...)

I love the hair detail (up/down) in this drama:

she is his "wife" ×

she broke up with him and found out that their marriage was actually fake ×

she made peace with him and became his wife for real.

(and when the drama show her past before "marriage" she also had hair down, yeah...)

drama - hidden charm

han ba reum, bye-bye... (i watched this drama a month ago and im still impressed)

i dont feel sorry for the old han ba reum, but feel sory for new... what does a serial killer-psychopath feel when his conscience suddenly awakens and he truly begins to love his friends, knowing that they hate him? and the dies due to the rejection of the part of the brain that gave him this conscience... oh
