like why out of everyone just these three have to ended up like that like literally why only the main characters. they were main character? right? oh... what could it have been

they should have ended stranger things in s1 only as always planned because they just stretched it for us just to get attached to it because this was the same ending in S1. there was never any alternate ending in their stupid mind they just wanted aesthetic and nostalgia like stfu and s1 was way way vey much better and I was at least happy that they got Will back and was not that much attached to El at that time and I was not even a Byler ovb. so yeah s1 ending was way very much better than wtv the ending we got in s5 like Ig they just thought let's again give them the same ending we gave them in s1 because we don't really have any brains for any alternate ending

This dialogue collects all the beautiful meaning of the movie but let's focus for a moment on Yori's "sorry I lied".

That child dared to disobey his own father and incur his punishment, again, just for Minato! These kids want so much to be together, freely and simply. They just want to be themselves with someone who truly understands them and to express their care. They want to never have to ask permission again. Why the social stigma shouldn't have let them experience their first love, their true identity?

And finally in the end they both let go of the shame. They no longer ask permission and accept themselves as they are.
