And I decided to share some steps of my drawing process here. I know many people are ashamed of tracing the reference, but I don’t find it bad or shameful, as long as you don’t copy someone’s artwork. My first step is always highlighting some main points of reference, head, position of nose and eyes, joints etc. Because anathomy is still hard for me. And then I do my sketch, line work and base colours. Do you use lines or do you paint over your sketch? I think I have some explaining to do today… I received a message that I promote “being fat as ok” and unhealthy lifestyle being justified as self love. Well, let me get things straight. I do not believe that body positivity is just some excuse to unhealthy lifestyle. Body positivity and body acceptance means few things for me: ❤️ Accepting yourself in the moment, in the place you are right now. It has no point to hate yourself everyday because of your looks. You are you and your body carries you through your life. ❤️ If you want to change something, then change it. Only you have the power to create life you want and body you want. But it doesn’t mean you should hate yourself until you reach that goal. Accepting yourself and also taking care of yourself is the way that will bring you peace with yourself 🙌 ❤️ For me, body acceptance means being ok with yourself, while taking proper care of yourself. Nourishing your body, mind and soul. ❤️Body positivity isn’t excuse for living out of junk food, alcohol or even drugs and telling yourself “that’s who I am and I love it” because this lifestyle does not show love to your body. And there is a difference between treating yourself with your fav food and being actually unhealthy due to your lifestyle. ❤️ Body positivity is accepting that all people are different, we have different shapes and sizes and it should not determine our worth or beauty. ❤️ Body positivity is overcoming beauty standards held by society around us. Body positivity and acceptance illustration no. 12 …I think 😅 Tag a mamma/friend who maybe needs to see this today 🙌 And this one is kinda personal for me because I became mother back in 2020. And the first thing that cross my mind when it came to postpartum was: I need to get my flat belly back. Because of all thise perfect athlete bodies I saw on Pinterest like “6 weeks postpartum” even my body actually never looked like olympic swimmer’s. So… Well guess what. It simply doesn’t look the same and it never will. And that’s ok. Our journey is different and our bodies are also different. And it is completely up to you how you gonna take care of your body to stay healthy, mentaly and physically. The important thing is to simply accept that your beautiful and strong body changed. There is no wrong or right way, just the fact that you managed to create new life, bring it to this world, all with your own strength and loving heart. And the reason why you want to be fit again should come from your heart, not from Instagram or society expectations.
