Glitch City is a hell hole.

Every inch of the city was corrupt, the powerless continued to be exploited. For all that technology has made leaps and bounds so much of it was still off limits. It was only reasonable that everyone wanted to escape from here, in some way or another. Few managed to successfully leave, so many found their escape at the bottom of a glass. Tucked away on a side street, right off the main avenue was a small dive bar, BTC-certified under the bar code VA-11 and located in Hall-A of the district. Valhalla.

Among the chaos, the bar has become something of a sanctuary for Langa. Its isolated from the noise. The clients are usually tame enough for him to handle- even if some of them are objectively dangerous, he never really feels threatened. The pay is good. His boss is great and he loves his fiery coworker. Reki, who's so warm and bright among the dim bar lights. Reki, who understands Langa in a way he's always craved. Reki, who is unfairly hot.

Reki, who has a secret he's convinced would have Langa running for the hills.

The ways they were presented always varied. Some only had half of a design, waiting to find its other half. Alternatively, it could be missing pieces, like an incomplete puzzle. Others were line art, lacking the beauty of colors. Occasionally they were verses or words left incomplete. Regardless, the tattoos were always on the left side. Normally, on your arms or legs, sometimes on the torso.

Old superstition says it is because that is the side where the heart lives.

Summary: Kaoru breathed in deeply, smoke filling his lungs and dulling his brain. He tips his head back, slowly exhaling. His mind is hazy as he watches the smoke, transfixed. Lazily, it wisps through the light, dancing along the gentle breeze coming through the apartment windows. Absentmindedly, he fiddled with the pipe, fingers brushing along the shank. It was a mix of wood and metal, a traditional styled tobacco pipe with a cherry blossom branch burned on the stem, a blossom engraved on the metallic shank. It was beautiful in its simplicity and more importantly it was a gift- from Kojiro. Despite his attempt to float above his emotions, reality broke through the haze and he slumped onto his knees. He should have predicted this, knew he shouldn’t have gotten high without some form of distraction to keep his attention. Maybe he had just been hoping Kojiro would be back by now. The green haired buffoon was a suitable enough distraction. Instead he is left to ruminate in the quiet of their shared apartment. He’s unsure how long he stares at the mattress between his knees. Graduation is fast upon them and Kojiro plans on leaving for Italy a month after their ceremony.

Excerpt from A Fever You Can’t Sweat out

“Is that my sweater?”

“If you think I’d personally own anything in orange, Caleb Widogast, perhaps you don’t know me at all”

Caleb smiled fondly, amazed at how comfortable his lover had become around all of them in the few years they’ve known each other. The sweater was most definitely much too big for the elf, and was an awful shade of orange with two yellow ducks placed over the nipples. It was a joke gift from Beauregard, given to him before they had departed for their ‘newest wizard adventure’.

“Ridiculous as it looks, it is quite warm” Essek continued, disdainfully plucking at one of the smiling ducks.

“I think it looks good on you”

Essek raised one disbelieving eyebrow at Caleb “I think you only enjoy it because it is a...What did Jester call it? A boyfriend’s sweater?”  

Caleb rose from his spot on the couch, setting aside the documents he had been working to translate as Essek soaked in a warm bath. He already knew from experience the elf would be a while, hot boi that he is. He made his way towards Essek, the other meeting him halfway. Like two planets in orbit, they come together. Pulled in by a gravity they’ve always shared. They settle against each other as naturally as breathing.

Caleb wrapped an arm around Essek’s shoulder, the other gently caressing his face tenderly. Essek in turn, wraps his arms around Caleb’s waist, thumb rubbing soft circles on his spine. “I believe that is the term. Regardless, it would be a lie if I said I didn’t enjoy seeing you in my clothes. No matter how much you disdain them.”

“It would be better if your clothing wasn’t ridiculous I’m sure” An amused lilt made its way into his voice. “Though I suppose it is better than anything Jester would have given either of us, at least this is phallic free...as far as I’m aware of”

Caleb chuckles and presses a kiss to the top of Essek’s head as he looks down to observe the sweater more closely. Essek had grown to distrust any clothing gifts from the Nein after Jester had once gifted him a very nice navy blue button up... with realistic looking dick shaped cuff-links. He hadn’t noticed until Beau had seen them at a dinner spent together and had nearly toppled over the table in her laughter.

For all that he complained, however, he still wore the cuff-links on occasion much to Jester’s delight.

Essek looks back up once he’s done inspecting the sweater, finding that the offensive nipple ducks were the only atrocity on the clothing item. “Well, I suppose I can understand the sentiment” he said, fiddling with the gold and silver ear cuffs framing his ear. The chains chime with the movement, warm under his touch. He had had the piece enchanted so as not to freeze the human’s ear off during their travels.

With a shared smile, they both leaned in for a kiss. Arms wrapping tighter around each other, savoring the warmth and love from one another.

She knew him well enough to know that leaving Essek alone is out of the question. Besides, they share a bed, a room, a tower, a house, and a life together. The window for avoiding contamination was already out the window.

His spells are tapped now. This will be the last of the contact he will have with Beau.“

Haven’t posted any fic in 100 years but as a struggling chemistry student who was not able to find this synthesis anywhere on the internet for a project I have taken the liberty of writing it myself and sharing it to the world.

I just want this to exist somewhere on the internet because we were literally the only group who found NOTHING about this and had to throw darts at a wall and do it ourselves and I might just be bitter

KNY 200 spoilers and thoughts (mostly on Nezuko)

So in light of the recent chapters I think it’s fair to say we’re all pretty damn sad about all the sad going around. I do think it’s pretty fitting when you consider the story though.

With this chapter brought along the death of many favs and most of the battle participants. I think most shocking of them all, to many people, is Tanjirou’s death. I am 100% on board with the hope that he somehow lives because he’s main boy, how dare you kill him Gotouge. I certainly wouldn’t be mad if some shenanigans are pulled to keep best boy alive.

That said, I don’t think that will be the case personally, or rather I can see it not being the path this story will take. Overall I think it runs the risk of taking away meaning from the story.

I think from here on out we’re going to see how Nezuko reacts. I am are unsure if she’s going to keep her memories from her time spent as a demon or if she will only recall her last moments before getting turned into a demon. Personally, I think it may be the former. But there’s also no denying a large part of her time as a demon was spent sleeping, so there will most likely be gaps in her memory regardless. Most notably, the two years she spent asleep, which were also the two years were Tanjirou changed the most, because it was during these two years were he was training and learning from Urokodaki.

But he also did something else during those two years, he was writing journals, for Nezuko.

It is vaguely mentioned in the beginning of the series that he used those very notes to train, and that’s the last we ever hear of them. I sorta assumed that they were stashed and forgotten because Nezuko woke up, Tanjirou could just tell her himself and that was that, but if Tanjirou truly is dead and gone I think this will be were they will resurface. With no where else to go, the logical place for Nezuko to return to would most likely be with Urokodaki, who most likely is in possession of all of Tanjirous writing, because we certainly don’t ever see him travel with them.

So I think Nezuko will most likely spend some time reading those entries, and most likely boiling with her own regrets and confusion, and maybe even find her own new found determination. I think it would be nice to see her take on the hanafuda earrings as part of that, wanting to keep moving forward as she knows her brother would most likely want for her.

I’ve seen a lot of post rightfully screaming about Nezuko being left alone, but I think what we’ll see it is quite the opposite. Even if she finds herself with gaps in her memories and lost in confusion, Nezuko is anything but alone. Be it because of personal connections to Nezuko herself or simply people wanting to look out for a precious friend’s little sister, Nezuko will have help getting through this and she won’t be the only one mourning her brother and that alone can help bring comfort to her.

Urokodaki will be there for her without a doubt, already having pledged his life for her and her brother. Giyuu will most likely stick by her, be it through his own care or survivor’s guilt, I don’t doubt that they will have positive interactions. The girls at the Butterfly estate have come to like her dearly, especially after she conquered the sun.

And of course, she’ll still have Zenitsu and Inosuke. I can definitely see these three sticking close together for a while after this shit show, taking comfort in each other’s presence while they all heal , both emotionally and physically.

Kimetsu no Yaiba has always seemed to be a story of loss and humanity, but it’s also a story of how you can keep going despite that loss and how you can find strength in it.

Puerto Rico governor vows to remain in office despite escalating protests

San Juan, P.R. — Defying growing calls for his immediate resignation, Puerto Rico's beleaguered Gov. Ricardo Rosselló on Tuesday vowed to remain in office and bring more transparency and accountability to the Puerto Rican government. In recent days, his office has been rocked by high-profile corruption arrests and escalating protests over the revelation of vulgar and inappropriate private messages between the governor and his staff.

A political crisis has swept the Caribbean island — home to approximately 3.2 million U.S. citizens — since a non-profit journalism group, Puerto Rico's Center for Investigative Journalism, published a trove of messages in which Rosselló and his top lieutenants mocked political opponents, talked about retaliating against journalists and made sexist and homophobic remarks. The scandal prompted the resignation of several officials in the messaging group, including his secretary of state and chief financial officer, but the governor has tried to quell the fallout and save his political career.
