Haven't been on here in a hot minute lol. Here's a freshly completed piece I made for fun, using my dnd characters in the vol. 4 cover of houseki no kuni.

It took a while, but I'm pretty satisfied with the final product. Haruko Ichikawa's style has always been a huge inspiration to me, so I might do a couple more riffs on the covers or redraw some manga pages for fun :)

I posted this as a comment but I’m not sure if it went through, forgive me for the repetition.

I was really impressed with the “Zelda with Tony Hawk syndrome” piece. Specifically, how you managed to make the Flameproof set look not totally ridiculous. it reminded me of some of the Oseram outfits from Horizon Zero Dawn. I was wondering if you would do a full body version of that?

First off my friend I am so sorry this took so long to respond to 😓😓 I have had a hardcore artist block going on and most of my energy has been spent on work.

Second, I was honestly a little surprised because I didn't do much to change the flameproof armor. The major thing I would say is to simplify the torso area and reduce the amout of accordion tubing-- I think it makes some sense for the arms to allow more flexible movement, but the legs could be switched out for full plate (save for behind the knees). In addition, reducing the color palette (as I prefer to use hatching and inking over full coloring) helps keep the design more unified.

Here's a full body reference of the flameproof armor, along with the snowquill armor design I use and the Zora armor I use. If I can clarify anything else let me know!

Do you do commissions, by chance? I saw some of your Zelda AU art and was super impressed by it, and I happen to be writing a very similar fic myself. (Can provide link if requested).

At this moment in time I do not have a system set up for commissions, but I do take requests :)

Requests are done basically when I have the time and on a case-by-case basis, go ahead and drop anything you'd like to see in the askbox and I'll see what I can do!
