Oh gosh I love your art! May I ask, how exactly do you draw your transparent drawings? I especially love those but can’t figure out how it works 😂

On Tumblr, the trick to transparent images is that by default, images on the dashboard are displayed against the white background of the post, but when you click on them (or click and drag) they are displayed against a dark background.  Anything drawn in white against a transparent background will therefore be invisible by default, and only revealed when viewed against the dark background!

(Note: this does mean that when the post is displayed on someone’s blog, rather than the dashboard, if their background color is something other than white the surprise doesn’t work so good ^^;;)

When I’m working on these drawings, I put in a temporary black background layer so that I can see what I’m doing while drawing all in white.  I delete or hide the background before saving the image file as a transparent .png (jpegs don’t preserve transparency)

(If you want a dark image to appear, rather than a light one, you can fill the whole layer with white and draw by erasing.)

You can also add foreground elements in whatever color you like, as long as they are above your white layer, and positioned in such a way (or transparent enough) that they don’t obscure your invisible drawing.

Sure, @anatomicalart! The colors get reused between the arm/back angles so I’ll separate them.

Arm view: Red = Deltoids (all three heads are in one color) Blue = Latissimus Dorsi Green = Biceps Brachii Yellow = Triceps Brachii

Forearm: Red = One of the wrist flexors Blue = Brachioradialis

Back view, left side: Red = Deltoids (all three heads are in one color) Blue = Latissimus Dorsi Green = Infraspinatus, Teres Minor, Teres Major Yellow = Trapezius (all groups one color)

Back view, right side: Red = Supraspinatus Blue = Serratus Anterior  Green = Rhomboids Yellow = Levator Scapulae
