LEAH: know what i was just thinking?
LEAH: how’d you end up with the nickname puck when there are so many of us? fucked up.
xiopez:
It’s those damn faces! The puppy eyes control you.
For real. How do you think I ended up bringing him home with me in the first place?
cozyrchl:
I find it very insulting when animals choose to destroy our belongings like we don’t cater to their every needs.
He’s definitely lucky he’s cute.
You have a dog?
puckjoey:
I’ll never understand the obsession people have with dogs. And I don’t see why he’s not in some type of obedience class. ‘Cause if he fucks up another pair of your shoes, I’m not getting you more.
They’re always happy to see you and they don’t talk back. What’s not to love? He’s not in an obedience class because those people will charge god knows how much just to try to teach him what I’m already doing. And that’s okay, I’ll just “borrow” yours.
caneanders:
Poor pupper, he must really like shoes.
Yeah, well, so do I.
cozysantiago:
I’ve never had a pet dog, so I’m not really in a position to answer the question. But maybe you could hire a knockoff dog whisperer person so your shoes stop getting eaten.
I didn’t get to own a dog until I grew up and got one myself. Was it a family not wanting one thing, or do you just not like them? Meh, I don’t have the kinda money for that. It’s all BS anyway. He’s well behaved, just gets bored.
cozystevie:
Watching the Ted Bundy doc-series on Netflix is all fun and games until you realize a bunch of people crazy obsessed with his story is exactly what that creepy asshole would want. Anyway, I need some fresh air after that. Definitely shouldn’t have watched it in one sitting. If anybody needs me I’ll be at the diner two strawberry shakes deep!
Kinda fucked up when you think about it, yeah. I’ve been hearing his name around nonstop the past few days. Like, why’s the world focused on a serial killer?
So you’re just gonna go right for the strawberry shakes and not invite anyone to come along. I see how it is.
cozymercyj:
So my five year old came home from school today and he told me that he wanted to be a doctor. I asked him what kind of doctor and he said he wanted to be a Surgeon and he needed 30 CC’s of Orange Juice Stat…. I have the cutest child in the world.
That kid’s got his life planned out better than I do.
cozyrchl:
So here I am, minding my own business in my own home early this morning doing yoga and listening to some music. All of a sudden there is a loud knock at my door taking me out of my zin and forcing me from my studio to obviously see who is visiting at such an early hour. Of course my first thought was the local paper wanting to doing an exclusive after my extraordinary performance at open mic night last Friday. If you missed it, it has been uploaded to my Youtube channel (Starberry). Anyways, so I answer the door and to my dismay it is my crazy next door neighbor again! Apparently despite the obvious drug usage and thievery, my music is the problem on my street. It’s 6am, Mrs. Johnson, your dog has been barking since 5 I am definitely not the problem for you attitude.
Damn. I hope you said all that. Put Mrs. Johnson in her place.
There’s a little yappy dog somewhere around me that goes nuts every time it hears a noise. I’ve learned to block it out, but it also means I’m not taking any shit from someone who can’t control their own noise problems.
cozypuck:
Everyone’s out here talking ‘bout getting old ‘n shit and that’s straight fuckery. age is just a number, you feel? or something, i dunno i’m baked right the fuck out of my mind. who wants to hang?
Sounds like you’re having a good time over there. Not sure if I can keep up with that level of existentialism.
I came home to find out that Chewie ate another pair of my shoes and honestly, I just don’t have time for this disrespect. Still gonna keep him around and love him to the ends of the earth tho. Someone tell me how dogs turn us as a species into a bunch of damn fools.

Character Development

I definitely want her to go to med school at some point, or at least start taking the steps to get there. It’s what she really enjoys and would do best at. She needs a big picture to focus on because right now she has the potential to go a little off the rails with how carefree/reckless she is, like, all the time.
On that note, someone to actually help her zero in on that side of herself would be lovely. Someone to remind her that there’s a line between being adventurous and being almost self destructive.
She kind of doesn’t deal with her problems, instead choosing to distract from it entirely and/or smoke to calm herself down, so it would be nice to see that come to head somewhere down the line. A larger problem that she can’t avoid, try as she might.
Other. I’m gonna say this is TBD for now as far as wanted connections and all that jazz.
Character Biography
Leah is well aware that her family isn’t like most --- and she’s glad for that. The Puckerman kids are strong, and she doesn’t like to think about someone with less of a backbone getting dealt such a crappy hand. She learned at a very young age that while she and her siblings all shared the same father, they also shared the fact that he didn’t give a damn about them in the slightest. He hadn’t even made an appearance for years before reconnecting with Joy, resulting in Leah’s birth, whereupon he disappeared again. Looking back, Leah has always kind of wanted to resent her mother for continuously letting him back in again, but she knows that manipulative people can make you do some crazy stuff.
Even without a father around, the little family held their own. Her mother and siblings were all Leah needed in the entire world, as far as she was concerned. They didn’t have much and made do with what little they did. Leah learned a whole lot about surviving just on what you need, and being damn grateful about it, too. She’s lived in a trailer since birth, but the fact is she’s always had a place to live, and that counts for a whole lot.
Leah was a firecracker from the day she was born, loudly announcing her presence at every available moment in true Puckerman fashion. Her mother never dared try to dim that natural light. She probably couldn’t even if they wanted to. Leah knows what she wants and how to get it. Joy was excellent at teaching her manners and the basics of life, but she also wanted to protect Leah to the ends of the earth. It was up to Leah herself to learn about being brave and how to enjoy the ride. She got herself into more than a few compromising situations in her early years, but it was a breath of relief for Joy when Leah always emerged unscathed.
Although she’s incredibly strong-willed and knows how to take care of herself, when she was little she liked to try and copy her siblings, simply because she looked up to them. There’s an age gap and Leah couldn’t always pull it off. She did, however, follow in her sister’s footsteps when it comes to dancing. She was never quite as serious about it, but since toddlerhood she’s liked to move along with her. Through the years it’s become one of Leah’s favorite casual pastimes.
Leah has never able to stay in one place for long. She longs for adventure and to see the world. The thought of a great wide somewhere is all too enticing; it’s the best way to keep her from focusing on her own problems at hand. As fate would have it, though, she’s still in the small town where she grew up --- it turns out it’s not so easy for her to abandon everything and everyone she’s ever known, at least not yet.
At the very least, she packed up and moved into her own cozy little trailer there. She got a dog, studied biology at OPCC, and soon started working as a receptionist at the emergency clinic. It’s a start. She’s pretty sure she wants to be in the medical field on a serious level someday, but med school totally isn’t in the cards for her right now. She can’t even begin to afford it. Besides, Leah has a lot of youth and life in her and so much to offer the world. She wants to be in control of her own life at all times and right now, she’s doing just that. She intends to keep it that way.
Because the greatest part of a road trip isn’t arriving at your destination. It’s all the wild stuff that happens along the way.
