I'm thinking abt posting fanfics𼚠Reading all those incredible stories makes me want to revive my love for writing! I wrote some lil drafts for now, but I'll re-read all of them, rewrite whatever needs to be fixed and try to cutely decorate it like those pro writers dođ
And if anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear each one of themmmm

âââââââââ
Jake Sim had been lovesick for you since freshman orientation â the kind of soft, stupid, slow-building ache that made even his friends groan when he said your name.
You were an upperclassman.
Older⌠wiserâŚ
Gentle in a way that felt almost dangerous, and to Jake, you were perfect.
â
Heâd sat next to you at every icebreaker your major hosted â pretending it was coincidence, even though he absolutely timed his entrances. He carried your books for you, whenever he could snatch them from your arms.
He scribbled cheesy little notes on your coffees when you visited the cafĂŠ he worked at.
âGood morning Noona!â
âHope you have a lovely day :)â
âDrink me before 4pm or youâll be up all night! â Jake âď¸!
And every time, youâd just smile at him â that warm, mature, soft-as-sunlight smile â and brush him off.
âOh, Jake, stop itâŚ~â
âThatâs cute. I bet the girls love that one.â
Youâd poke his chest, brush his shoulder as you passed, fix his glasses when they slid down his nose.
On the rare days you ate with him between classes, youâd wipe his mouth with a napkin without thinking, murmuring, âMessy boyâŚâ
Jake melted every. single. time.
His friends called him a simp.
A goner.
A man entirely whipped by someone who didnât even know she had him on her hook.
But, Jake didnât care⌠Not when you called him honey, or sweetheart, or love.
âBro. Jake, (Y/n) call everyone names like that,â the guys told him.
But it didnât matter â because when you called him those sweet names, Jake felt like heâd just won the lottery, the championship, and your heart all at once.
Everyone else insisted he give it upâŚ
They say that the way you let him walk you home â returning his jacket the next day with the sleeves folded neatly â was just your nature.
They said the way you smiled to yourself when he tripped over his words was just you being polite.
They said the hide-and-seek between you two played between shelves at the library was boredom, passing timeâŚ
And that the daily pinky promise youâd make Jake give to walk you home again was just⌠you being punctual.
And the worst thought of all:
Girls like you â no⌠women like you â
who wore pretty kitten heels and drank wine at low-lit lounges⌠didnât go for boys like Jake, who still stepped on his untied laces and built Legos when he was stressed.
You knew he liked you⌠Of course you did.
Everyone did.
Who didnât know Shim Jake was utterly, pathetically, wholeheartedly in love with you?
But lately⌠youâd been distant.
Softer in your smiles, harder to catch, harder to read.
And Jake⌠Jake was drowning in the fear that maybe â maybe â all this time
you were only ever being nice.
â
Which is what led to this moment:
Jake standing outside your student share house in the pouring rain, drenched from head to toe.
His flannel clung to his chest, his dark hair plastered to his cheeks⌠Streams of rain slid down the bridge of his reddened nose, pooling at his jaw, dripping from the flutter of his lashes.
He looked broken. Noâ Desperate.
A lovesick boy on his last string.
You rushed outside with an umbrella, still barefoot, the cold wind whipping your hair, your bare feet padding against the wet pavement. Your lips parted, breath caught.
âJâJake?!â Whatâre you doing? Itâs freezingââ
âNo! I want you to tell meââ He stepped closer, voice cracking.
âJust⌠tell me if this is pointless! Please justââ
Your eyes widened, heart climbing into your throat.
Jake heaved out a breath â chest rising and falling, fingers trembling.
âI know you think Iâm young⌠and silly⌠butâ but Iââ
He scrubbed his hands through his soaked hair, choking on frustration.
âGod, (Y/n), I like you.â
His voice shook.
âI like you so much it feels likeââ
He searched the air like the words were hiding behind the raindrops.
âIt feels like Iâm sick inside.â
Lightning cracked somewhere in the distance, and Jakeâs voice dropped, raw and trembling.
âIâm trying⌠Iâve been trying to be older. To be the kind of guy you like. I changed my clothes, Iâve been trying to read those romance novels you talk aboutâ Iâ Iâm trying so hard.â
You stared at him, throat tightening.
âI just need to know,â he whispered, âthat youâre not⌠just being nice.â
âThat youâre not sparing my feelings because you think I canât handle it.â
He didnât even notice the rain had stopped hitting him â because youâd stepped down the last step, holding the umbrella above both of you, and close enough that he could see his reflection in your eyes.
âJakeâŚâ your voice was barely a breath.
He blinked hard, eyes glossy.
âBecause I am a man,â he whispered.
âIâm not a kid, (Y/n). Iâm a man whoâsâ whoâs in love⌠with an incredible woman.â
And that was itâŚ
Your heart finally cracked open.
You grabbed him by the collar of his soaked, oatmeal-colored flannel and pulled him down into a kiss â warm, soft, sweet, a rush of breath and rain and pent-up longing.
The umbrella slipped from your hands, and it clattered to the pavement but neither of you noticed.
You broke the kiss only when Jake gasped, stunned.
âI like you too, Jake,â you breathed, brushing your thumb over his cheek.
âStop blabbering.â
Your laugh, soft and warm, sent a shiver down his spine.
Jake blinked, then he smiled â slow, disbelieving, boyish and breathtaking â and kissed you again, deeper, firmer, holding your waist like heâd dreamt of doing for two long years.
The rain kept falling.
But Jake⌠Jake felt like he was finally, blissfully, impossiblyâŚhome.

đ idol heeseung series â written fluff idol x fan trope
SYNOPSIS youâre known as heeseungâs biggest (and maybe most unhinged) fanâof course ENHYPEN would notice you eventually. you just didnât think it would end with you getting close to lee-friggin-heeseung.
prev | next âľ m.list
you sat on your bed, dressed in sweats and a tank top, legs tucked beneath you as you mindlessly scrolled through tiktok. edits and clips of heeseung flooded your feed, like they always didâyour algorithm knew you far too well.
you had thought about entering the fancall. more than once, actually. but in the end, you decided against it. it felt⌠too much. too parasocial. your twitter account was already bad enoughâdid you really need to be signing up for fansigns and videocalls too?
engene were probably already sick of you. and if they were, then heeseung definitely would be.
your thoughts were cut short by the sudden buzz of your phone. an incoming facetime call lit up your screen.
âgoonersâ
you snorted, answering immediately. âhello??â
a burst of shrieking excitement exploded through your speakers.
âyn. finallyâit feels like weâve been holding this in forever.â
âbee, wait! should i prop my phone up so we can record her reaction??â
your brows furrowed, a laugh slipping out despite your confusion. âwhatâs going on? whyâre you guys acting weird?â
you sat up straighter, suddenly uneasy. âyou guys are scaring me. what did you do?â
âitâs recording,â rina confirmed.
âokay,â bianca started, voice suspiciously calm. âyn, we have a surprise for you. alright?â
your stomach dropped.
a surprise? that didnât sound good.
âgo onto the gc.â
you hesitated for half a second before doing as told, swiping out of facetime so it hovered in the corner of your screen. the groupchat opened, and an image from bianca slowly loaded, pixel by pixel, dragging out your anxiety.
then it cleared.
âcongratulations on winning enhypen 1:1 video call event!â
everything went still.
ââŚno way.â
âsurprise!!!â they screamed.
âpiss off. you did not.â you shook your head, convinced it was a joke.
âit was rinaâs idea,â bianca rushed out. âwe both signed you up because you wanted this, donât even lie.â
your lips parted, then slowly curled into a smile.
theyâd done this for you.
âstop⌠i love you guys.â
âwe love you too,â they chorused.
a week later, and that excitement had turned into pure, gut-wrenching nerves.
today was the day.
you sat at your desk, your phone propped against a fake plant pot as you ran your fingers through your hair for the hundredth time.
your makeup was softâhighlighter dusted at the corners of your eyes and across the tip of your nose. brown lip liner made your lips look fuller, gloss catching the light every time you moved.
your outfit was simple but flattering. a grey button-up clung to your curves perfectly, paired with tight jeans that wouldnât even be visible on cameraâbut you wore them anyway. gold jewellery rested against your skin, completing the look.
you looked like you. your best version of you.
and still, it wasnât calming your nerves.
youâd met all seven of them before, sureâbut that was different. those events were planned months in advance. you had time to rehearse, to mess up, to fix yourself before it mattered.
this?
this was a weeks notice. immediate. intimate.
and worst of allâhe knew who you were.
the twitter account. the viral post. the barking.
god.
you buried your face in your hands for a second. you felt ridiculous.
then your phone buzzed.
your heart dropped straight into your stomach.
the notification sat at the top of your screen.
it was time.
ânoâno, no, no, already??â you muttered, scrambling. werenât fancalls supposed to run late? people always said they waited hours.
why did yours have to be on time.
you stared at the accept button like it might bite you.
then, before you could overthink it any further, you pressed it.
your camera popped up instantly, your small box tucked in the corner while the main screen stayed black.
you quickly pulled down your control centre, switching on screen recordingâmic included.
your heart was racing now. too fast.
your stomach twisted.
oh godâwere you going to throw up?
you are not throwing up on a videocall with heeseung.
your thoughts spiralled, breath uneven, untilâlight appeared.
just a sliver at first, then more, until the screen filled.
and there he was.
lee heeseung.
your breath caught.
he looked unreal. ethereal, even.
his hair was darker now, a soft brunette that framed his face perfectly, making his doe eyes stand out even more. his skin looked flawless under the lighting, highlighter catching subtly at the same spots as yours.
a blue cardigan hung loosely over a grey shirt, earbuds resting against his collarbone as he looked downâthen up.
his eyes met yours.
and he smiled.
âitâs you!â he said immediately, eyes lighting up.
your brain short-circuited.
âyesâhi!â you managed, your voice betraying your nerves.
âhi, pretty.â
your heart stuttered.
that god-forsaken nickname.
you swallowed. âhow are you?â
he tilted his head slightly, studying you. âiâm okay. better now that iâve seen my biggest fan.â
you groaned softly, covering your face for a second. âoh noâyou remembered.â
âof course i did,â he laughed. ânot every day someone goes viral for barking at me.â
you straightened, deadpan. âit was ai. i got hacked, actually.â
he blinkedâthen laughed harder, eyes crinkling at the corners.
and just like that, something in you relaxed.
the call flowed easier after that. your sarcasm slipped out naturally, your nerves easing with every laugh he gave you. he seemed genuinely entertained, leaning closer to the camera at times, like he didnât want to miss anything you said.
and thenâthe timer appeared.
10 seconds.
your chest tightened.
âit was really nice talking to you,â you said softly.
his expression softened. âit really was. youâll come see us again, right?â
you shrugged lightly, a teasing smile playing on your lips. âmaybe. who knows?â
he huffed a small laugh, shaking his head. âi hope you do.â
4⌠3âŚ
âbye,â you said.
he looked straight at you.
âbye, pretty.â
and thenâ
the screen went black.
silence filled your room.
you let out a breath you didnât realise you were holding, reaching up to stop the recording.
your room feltâemptier now.
it was strange. he was a celebrity. someone completely out of reach.
and yet, for those few minutes, it didnât feel like that at all.
you leaned back in your chair, staring at your phone.
you couldâve stayed on that call for hours.
and somewhere else, heeseung sat with a small, lingering smile, greeting the next fan like nothing had changed.
but the warmth in his chest?
that stayed.
and that was because of you.
and godâ
what heâd give to rewind those few minutes and hear your voice all over again.
AMI i know this look of heeseungs was like hella recent but he looked too good to not include in the series. (âĽďšâĽ) but just before anyone gets confusedâ no this does not take place after he left!! in this au hes still in enha and enha is still seven c:
