@punkcornzero
how could we've been happy there knowing that we were leaving all these people to goodness knows what awfulness.
this is the exact reason why putting everything back the way it was has never been an option. it would mean god is still stacking the deck, it would mean apocalypse and the second coming and an expiration date on the universe. the end of everything exactly as god planned it.
aziraphale tried to do exactly what people are suggesting, fixing the system, and how did that work out, huh? it wasn't broken to begin with, it was working exactly as intended, nothing to fix, nothing to change.
it's all rigged, the entire universe.
crowley has been telling us so since the very beginning. the only reason they had the power to create a new one to begin with is because god was bored and decided it would be funny. crowley and aziraphale did NOT summon her, they have no control over her, she tells us so. she showed up because she wanted to, she was about to end everything, anyway, protests be damned.
they have been trying to live their best possible lives within the system for millennia, there's no way of gaining real free will while existing within it.
It shouldn't be surprising to see that this fandom is full of immature people who cherry pick on everything to back their horse but here we are... and this show is about fucking shades of gray between good and bad and about being nice, yeah we can see that 🙄
If you didn't like the finale that's your right and if you want to cope with things deciding that the good things are Terry Pratchett's and the bad are from NG okay I understand, just don't act like NG is a overall bad writer. I mean you can cancel him, you can hate him, but your hate and disappointment should not reflect uncritically on all his works (especially one that's not entirely his, also because no, there's no way of knowing who did exactly what). We have plenty of things to be mad about that NG did, we can still respect the work that other people did on the series.
I (think I) understand the finale, still I'm grieving so hard, they deserved their little life together. I just love them sm
I feel like with this finale I have a block to imagine them doing their things in the world as I did before, like they are real to me

happy one year anniversary!
i talk about transitioning and all anyone ever says is "I hope you don't regret it" what if instead we said I hope you love it. I hope it's everything you ever wanted. I hope you live the rest of your life in utter bliss. etc etc.
I hope you transition and I hope it's the best thing you ever did and I hope you never look back and I hope you finally feel comfortable in your own skin
People still tend to lump JK Rowling in with the category of ~problematic artists~ and I need everyone to understand that is not the problem with her. She is not comparable to anyone who wrote a piece of fiction you hate, or someone who made rude comments in 2015 and has since learned better.
She is far more like Elon Musk. She is a radicalized person with an extreme amount of social and financial power, and for YEARS she has been using that power to try to influence her government into hurting vulnerable people, on purpose. And she has succeeded. THAT is the problem with her, and THAT is why spending money on her books is so dangerous, not because her books aged badly.
Critiquing her work is fine, of course (I personally was never a fan so I really don’t care) but you NEED to understand that fiction is not the main issue here. And I truly think acting like she’s the same as the rest of any giant list of ~problematic creators of the week~ waters down how dangerous she is.
i have to reblog this again because i go insane when people act like the problem with her is "its cringe for adults to like kids media" or like "the books sucked anyways" like those are completely irrelevant and try to shift the blame and focus from the active harm. even the fact the books also have bioessentialism and antisemitism is a whole different conversation
The point is the books could be the best shit ever written, the most ‘unproblematic' and progressive children's media ever. It wouldn’t be worth the systemic destruction of transgender lives. Which is what she is dedicating her unlimited time and resources to.
RIP Captain, you would’ve loved an autism diagnosis.

Non-acting things Michael Sheen has done/been through in 2025

4. Launched the literary magazine "The Bee" for working class writers

7. His Nye pajamas were auctioned online to raise funds for children suffering in the Gaza war and he tweeted the link for people to bid on
8. Recorded 2 audiobooks: Blue Book Read's Road Trip and Philip Pullman's The Rose Field
9. Filmed a documentary in the US

11. Posted some selfies just to cheer up his fans being sad
2025 was a year of constant heavy responsibilities for Michael, yet he managed to carry them all for his country and people around him. He cried on podcasts, he laughed in conversations. He continue to be the best example of a talented humanitarian and a proud Welshman ❤️🏴 May he enjoys all the chocolate and cinnamon buns he wants, because he deserves it all. It's wild to me how some people seem to assume that because I like Glinda I must think she's a perfect person who never did anything wrong. You can like morally grey characters. You can even like straight up evil characters. It's fine. You're allowed. They're fictional.
