I’m an anarchocommunist and I found the punk scene a little over a year ago.

I unfortunately don’t really listen to the music (poser i know) but I fuck with the ideology and I try to reflect that through my fashion and actions.

I’m making some changes. All of this still applies, but im also going to shift away from purely punk on this blog and make it more alt fashion in general. More stuff like grunge and goth. I love the subcultures and I will continue to learn about them. They seem to all incorporate the value of diy and rejecting fast fashion. A style like grunge is more accessible to me sensory issues wise but I definitely keep my punk values and beliefs and absolutely adore the style.

Being a masochist is so important to me as a person with a chronic pain condition. It is so powerful and healing to be able to choose the pain I feel and to have it associated with pleasure and positive memories instead of merely the suffering of my injured body. It gives me back agency in a body and a world that has taken so much of it away from me

I HATE that people don't understand that even if the condition is common, doesn't mean it can't be incredibly disabling.

because for example, POTS is becoming more common because of COVID and such but often times people think that it's just a "getting dizzy disorder".

but for some people like me we sometimes pass out, and sometimes we can't tell when it's coming. which can lead to going from standing to suddenly waking on the floor, which sometimes involves hitting things on the way down. things like that can lead to head injuries, concussions, broken bones, etc.

so yes for some people can have more mild symptoms but that isn't always the case for everyone.

I think people stress themselves out too much over trying to understand others' identity. Personally I see nothing wrong if a cis guy is a lesbian. If he's happy, being part of the community, and fighting with us, then beautiful! It's called Good Faith Identity for a reason. Just be yourself, love, show a little kindness then and there. "The House of D [was] 500 feet from the Stonewall Inn," Ryan says. "On the first night of the riots, people incarcerated in the prison could actually see what was happening out their windows, and they started a riot all their own, setting fire to their belongings and throwing them down to the streets below while chanting 'Gay rights! Gay rights! Gay rights!' "By the '50s and '60s, Ryan estimates, "around 75% of the people incarcerated in the House of D are queer in some way."
