If there's one thing I think women need to get into our heads is that our real enemy is whoever is trying to deny us our power or restrict our lives and it genuinely does not matter if the person is a woman themselves or insists it's feminism. I've seen it going around so like you get that the point is not about whether or not you like rap right? The point is not that liking rap makes you morally superior. The point is how you react to rap and whether or not you treat it differently than other genres of music. Can you appreciate the artistic merit of the genre even if you personally don't like it? Are you accusing it of being somehow worse than other genres without analyzing why you feel that way? Are you too quick to defend your dislike of rap without actually analyzing where the feelings are coming from

This kind of response to things I say about sex work, which isn't always phrased like this but almost always focuses on me being male or a man or my pronouns, shows a fundamental misunderstanding of why mansplaining is bad.

I am a sex worker. I have been for a decade. The majority of people I know are sex workers and I'm embedded in sex worker community. I started before 18 and have done it in brothels, cars, my own home, clients' homes, saunas, and hotels.

It's absolutely reasonable to criticize men who speak on issues they don't experience like an authority, especially when they speak over women to do it. It is not reasonable to raise someone's gender (or in this case, pronouns) as a reason their thoughts aren't worth hearing when the issue is one they do face.

I see people bringing up that I'm trans in response to things like this, as a way to legitimize my speech. The reason I refuse to do so, despite many of my experiences selling sex being pre-transition, is that I equally do not want cis men who have done sex work to be silenced on the topic.

We need more active and former sex workers to speak out. That won't happen if we're dismissing those who do.

To be clear, the only ones being paywalled are the ones that were made in-house. (presumably by their paid employees?) Trigger warning comments with timestamps made by normal members remain not paywalled. Essentially, they're trying to entice more people into paid memberships and to support the general site, which does cost money to maintain.

See the fallout TV show page comments for "eye mutilation" for an example of a user made list of timestamps not being paywalled.

okay so i went to look at the substance, since that was the original example in the op additions, and yes, there are paywalls.

however, the above is correct:

there are still FREE comments that leave timestamps.

so just because there's a paywall doesn't mean other people can't leave timestamps on the same triggers, like above^^ said.

and given that i've used this for dozens of shows and movies since late 2025, this must be pretty sparing--i didn't even see any on other popular shows and movies.

so. i don't really see a reason to stop using the site.

"But it makes me uncomfortable!" The world is an uncomfortable place and complete strangers are not required to fix that for you. Learning to endure harmless discomfort is a life skill for existing in public.

"But I don't like it!" There's plenty of things in the world and not all of them are fun or enjoyable or For You. This applies to everyone and we all have to deal with that in a mature fashion.

"But I want to do the thing!" You can't always do what you want. Most people learn this in preschool. Wanting something does not entitle you to be inconsiderate to the people around you.
