Stop teaching children that there is only one person out there meant for them. Let it be easier for people to let their toxic relationships go without fear of losing “The One”.

The thing people seem to get so fucked up about soulmates is that everyone sees them as solely romantic. Soulmates really just mean ‘a soul you’ve known in a past life, therefore have a cosmic connection with’. You can have a ton of soulmates. Many people and religions that follow reincarnation believe that souls are reborn into each life with different relationships to the people they knew in their past lives, your brother may have been your mother before and so on. A soulmate isn’t always romantic, sometimes it’s a friend or family member, and in the case of romantic relationships there can be multiple romantic soulmates for one person. It’s all just based on souls being brought back together and, after knowing another person in a different life, you feel connected beyond your earthly relationship
