Shout out to my bus stop jackdraws for being the best, most precious, and also kinda manipulative, picky eaters.
early homo sapiens b like help i cant stop making bowls . help i cant stop domesticating plants and animals. help i cant stop developing language and architecture and religion
ok im obsessed w this tag
once in grade 6 I saw a 'pottery making club' in a ditch on the schoolyard- I assume at some point someone realized there was actually good quality clay in the ditch and when I walked up there were about a dozen 12 year olds sitting around the few girls who had brought their water bottles out to mix the clay, and a designated spot to put the finished bowls and tablets, and people going off and collecting sticks to make designs with and i really think that's the natural state of the human race
In elementary school I learned that you can make paint out of certain sedimentary rocks on the playground if you crushed them and mixed with water and at one point I had up to 25 kindergarten through third graders making cave paintings on the underside of the slides
in third grade i got everyone into pet bottle caps by drawing eyes on any bottle cap that anyone handed me. when some boys stole our pet caps and smashed them we folded origami boxes for coffins and interred them under the playground mulch at recess with drops of soda for the trip through bottle cap afterlife.
At my school we made an economic system based om cheastnuts and pinecones (10 cheastnuts=1 nice, fresh pinecone).
With those we traded other valuables, such as ladybugs, marbles and black, metall-y like rocks generally known as slagg.
Having a lot of slagg was basically the status marker back then.

With each I was like âSurely the cat doesnât actually look like that in the image. surely this is an exaggeration.â but then I scrolled and yes, the cats are liquid
this is the funniest fucking thing i have ever seen
I know many of you out there are feeling a bit down. Have a crow to Wouldnât it be Nice by the Beach Boys to lift your mood.
He stops and looks both ways?!?
You wanna know what makes this better?
Crows normally walk. This one seems to have both legs working, so heâs not hopping out of necessity, heâs doing it for fun. Corvids can sometimes be seen doing things like this for no evident reason other than enjoyment.
This is my new favorite post
I canât ever not reblog.
Finished up some patches I made with nothin but an old shirt, white out, and thread
I hadnât posted an update since I first made it, so I wanted to post some pictures of what my battle jacket currently looks like. Iâve added tons of patches (including the back patch I custom made for it) and it feels almost totally âcomplete.â Just gotta fill that one little gap on the yoke. :)
Got around to making a back patch for my new jacket

For a second I didnât realize it meant âhighâ as in a stoner--I thought âHigh Geologistâ was like a rank of geologist or something and he was insulted you would challenge him to naming stones

âMoney wonât make you happyâ
Yeah, financial stability is just horrible
Ever noticed how the only people who say this are people with money?
May of share some of my favourite quotes on the subjekt?
Also. Yes. According to at least one study money do buy hapiness. Kinda anyway. According to the study happiness drastically increases alongside with income to a certain point (basically until when you can buy food, pay rent and buy entertainment without having to worry about the money you spend.)
So yes money do buy happiness. Or at least safety and less stress, with is an important basis for increasing your happiness.
