Asriel Agere headcanons + art!

I’ve never seen anyone make an age regressed Asriel and I’m just noticing his regression would make the most sense considering what he’s been through. So I’m going to start sharing some headcanons for a regressed Asriel.

He’s a perma-regressor. When he dusted he was 7 or 8 years old, and when he was given the opportunity to have a soul, he came back in 16 (or 17) body, with a 7 year olds mind.

His little age fluctuates between 4 and 8

He’s a huge crybaby.

He’s somewhat sensitive and easily spooked.

He’s very attached to Toriel and his Asgore.

He bites his claws when he anxious or overwhelmed.

He didn’t take the divorce well.

He likes to be held but doesn’t feel like he deserves to be held because of the things he did as a flower, so he just doesn’t ask. (Toriel knows to hold him anyway.)

When he wakes up from nightmares in distress Frisk climbs onto his bed and hugs him until he falls asleep. (Sometimes Toriel will have them both gather onto her bed and hold them close or read them a story)

His father doesn’t live with the 3 of them so every time Asriel visits he steals one of his father’s capes to take home with him so he can have his father with him. He uses it as a blanket sometimes.

Asriel sees a therapist twice a week and they are very much informed about Asriel’s regression. It’s something they discuss and with a lot in office.

On the surface, he’s in the same grade as Frisk because he technically never went got a 3rd grade education.

Continuation of the last post! Honestly I didn’t think I’d make another one but art block didn’t pull me down to the depths below yet lol!

Personally I don’t think I’ll ever draw anything in padding. In my art padding is worn for comfort so they are never used. So changing happens after wearing pull ups or diaps for a while and it gets all worn and misshapen. Even if they aren’t used they still should be changed after a while!

I hc him being taken care of by literally everyone especially Tisha idk why, no matter how fussy and grumpy he is! From his video and dialogue everyone seems to love him even though he tries to be bad!

He needs to be carried because he loses his ability to walk, otherwise he’d just crawl around! I also hc him as a wanderer lol, if you aren’t watching him he’ll disappear and get into something he shouldn’t!

Waxwell Regressor Headcanons

(Content warning for mentions of childhood abuse. Also one mention of padding too.)

💜 - Age range of 2-4, occasionally slips into babyspace when having a really bad day.

🩹- Is a traumaregressor since in the show he grew up in an abusive household. His regression is mostly a coping/defence mechanism.

🥀 - The first time toons knew about him being a regressor was when he threw a tantrum all alone in a dark room where he thought nobody would notice. He hates thinking about that.

🍼 - Doesn’t like foods with too much flavour but doesn’t mind mild tastes like flavoured milk and sugar cookies but for the most part just tends to stick to some plain flavours.

🛏️ - He needs lots of sleep but he doesn’t like being put down for naps at times. Whenever he’s tired he starts fussing and getting teary eyed.

🧸 - He isn’t a fan of brightly coloured toys as he has sensitive eyesight so he prefers toys with more mellowed colours or darker, his favourite is plush toys that he can snuggle up with in his bed.

🕸️ - Tries to play pranks on other littles or his caregivers but they always backfire with either them finding it funny or him getting hurt (that always ends in tears).

💨 - He has poorly controlled asthma so is prone to getting tired easily. His caregiver is always required to have an inhaler for him on hand if he starts coughing or wheezing in the middle of playtime.

💦 - Some things can trigger tantrums, big or small such as sudden brightness, loud noises and taking a tumble. When he has nightmares he wakes up crying.

🧺 - Does often need padding as he forgets to use the bathroom a lot when very small.

🫂 - Usually a quiet, calm and patient caregiver is recommended for him. Someone who is willing to give him some attention at least until he takes a nap.

🧸 - Cuddles with his cherished blanket when he’s having a nap (it’s very precious to him).
