Okay, he’s definitely getting flustered now, and the sound of Stahn’s obnoxious laughter from the sword isn’t helping at all. It’s all very flattering, in a way. Leon likes to be acknowledged for his strength and skills when he knows he’s earned it. But this is just- it’s too much.

How can Kanata say these things with a straight face?

“If you have time to-” he sputters a little. “To admire your enemies in battle, then you aren’t paying enough attention to the battle itself! This is why you ended up captured.”

Was that something that Leon didn’t like hearing either? Kanata was still learning, and really, it was harder than one might think to keep his thoughts to himself. At least people could know that he was being honest when he did this. He didn’t think any of it over, after all.

“But...” There’s a tilt of the head. Leon was missing something here, what really mattered, other than the fact that he often cared most about how he looked in battle, and could lack in skill because of it. “we’re all okay, right? And we can interact more freely now. Ah!--” Suddenly, it hit him. He holds out a hand, and gives one of his bright smiles.

“so! It’s nice to officially meet you, Leon. I mean, really meet you.”

“That part is true but he does accept it if you are really close to him.” honestly she wish she can tell Kanata he resembles her childhood friend Emilio who was smaller than her, same hairstyle, pretty eyes, but their personality was so different that Celica was the one who protected Emilio a few times.

“If Leon worn some black clothes like your friend, maybe a mask he’d be so cooler than him he’d be a mysterious handsome knight.”

“Really?” A hand moves to rest under his chin again as he thinks over how he could become closer to the swordsman. He couldn’t really think of too much, given how closed-off he could be at times. He would have to get help from Celica, wouldn’t he? Not that it mattered. Celica was always really kind. She would help him, he was sure of it. “Are there... some things he likes?”

The idea that Celica brought up about Leon widens his eyes, and again, in an instant, there is a big smile on his face.

“He would be! Leon should totally do that!”

Okay, maybe he was a little too excited about this... but why wouldn’t he be?! It was a wonderful idea!

“Wh -- H-Hey!” With his hair all ruined, Kanata gives a small pout, a hand raising to fix it up. It was such a mess. Why did Vicious have to go and do that of all things? Slowly, with some time, he began to get his hair settled.

“Huh? -- but it’s like I said, it’s still different.”

Vicious was more like a big brother or something. He didn’t see him that way, even if he admired him similarly. It was like how he saw Misella.

He might have been. Whatever the reason was, Kanata doesn’t say (yes, it was his hair), he simply gives a big smile, and rushes over to Vicious’s side. Silly Vicious, he had all of the time in the world here to drink.

But being called ‘pretty’ has nothing to do with it! Leon doesn’t want to repeat that word again, but Kanata looks so genuinely confused that Leon doesn’t have it in him to get truly mad at the boy (yet). He settles for scowling and crossing his arms with an indignant huff.

“The last part of your description is unnecessary. That’s all.”

Oh, so that was it. Was it a bad word to use with Leon? Something that he didn’t like or that offended him? There’s a soft hum from the blond as he thinks this over. He definitely wouldn’t use it if he didn’t like it, but...

“Sorry, you’re just... breathtaking, I think. With your strength and everything.”

He doesn’t really think of what he says or how it sounds, the words just run right off his tongue. He was honest, perhaps to a fault at times.

“Even as enemies, I was amazed by you, you know?”

Brows furrow at this, the blond appearing quite concerned at having offended him. That really wasn’t his intention! It all just sort of came out, but they were meant to be compliments!

“What do you mean? Did you not like something that I said?”
